(nah, let's just track down our missing kids and skip the return)
Jack sighed. No response, of course. Things were so much less fun without Risher and Piper's leadership, while not horrible, wasn't what he wanted. The sound of cracking twigs and leaves behind him lifted his spirits and he turned, expecting to see that arrogant smirk and sexy little tail that he'd come to associate with his best bro. Instead, he was greeted by the smug lil face of Piper's sister. Scowling, he crossed his arms, "What're you doing out here?" The obvious answer was that she had followed him out here, but that made him sound paranoid and he did his best to not give off that vibe. It made him sound crazy and apparently that was a bad thing. Either way, he was gonna play it cool. He'd done nothing wrong except abandon the group during a mandatory exercise, but that wasn't that big a deal.

Riandylan's face lit up. He noticed Cassie's discomfort leaking through and wondered if he wasn't smiling big enough. Or smiling too big. "Yeah! I am pretty new too - and I..." his smile faltered for a bit before jumping back to its full strength. "I didn't get anything this time, so don't feel bad! We can get better together!" His face scrunched up. "I wonder... did you see a tall guy, grumpy scowl?" He shrugged. "We might see him while heading back but I was just wondering..." I wonder if he'll be in the center with the injured, he thought, his worry spiking.

[ gotcha ]
Wisteria looked more than a little satisfied to see the disappointment on Jack's face when he turned to see her- nothing like seeing people realize that she knew everything they'd been up to. She gave a light little shrug and toed the grass with the tip of her shoe, tucking loose strands of hair behind her ear. "Oh me? I was just going for a light stroll, to clear my mind!" she sighed, pressing a hand to her chest before lifting her gaze up to meet his, mischievous smirk lighting up her face. "Seriously, calling out for your best bro Risher? That's cute. Bet the teachers will think it's so endearing when I tell them you went running out on your own, huh? Come on, I'll just tell them you got lost," she hummed, waving him forward with her hand in the most innocent way possible, biting back a laugh. Despite Jack's impressive strength, he was far safer to mess with than his sister, so she'd take any opportunity she could get.

Cassie was unaware that there were other new kids. After all, it seemed as though everyone here knew everyone, and they were all pretty tight knit. Maybe it was just that she was the newest. She laughed lightly, raising an eyebrow. "Isn't that about every guy in this school?" With a shake of her head, she continued, "No, sorry. Oh, I forgot to introduced myself, sorry 'bout that; I'm Cassie."
Lilah was someone who was irrationally fearless of nearly everything, or at least was stupid enough to think she was invincible, in the vast majority of aspects. People? Nah, people and social dynamics absolutely baffled her. So she hesitated slightly when approaching the Class A leader, currently accompanied by Piper as well. "Hey uh- I think you still have my katar."

Jack's face immediately reddened and he took several quick steps towards her, hands clenched into fists. He immediately got right up into her space, just barely restraining himself from grabbing her soft little throat and crushing it between his fingers. The last time he'd gotten in a boxing match with a Class A student, that little imp hadn't exactly recovered well and Jack had gotten in trouble. Nearly spitting his words through gritted teeth, Jack's voice was a low, furious rumble, "You ain't telling anybody anything, you little weasel. Otherwise there are a thousand and one accidents your little brother can have." Reaching up, he jabbed a finger into her chest, "So we were both out here, we both got lost, and I guided you back, rich girl. There ain't no other story to tell."

Caspian watched as everyone got ready to leave. He takes a position near the edge and prepares for the trek back. He hoped they would return back with no trouble, but luck was not always on their side. Shame he didn't find any clues regarding Risher.

It was then Alessandra smiled, gently taking his bloodied hand. "I dont mind at all Ari. Nice to meet you," she hummed out kindly. Hearing the orders, she got up, helping her new found acquaintance up as well. "Just make sure Fiona or the others dont suspect its a bite, if it is one, because you'll have yourself in big trouble," she whispered to him as she gave a small and concerned look. Leading him to his class, she held onto his messy hand in the process. "Anyways, got any fun plans for the rest of this weekend?" She asked kindly

((skipping's cool with me too))
Riandylan burst into laughter. "Maybe I should have been more specific," he said between snickers. "Dark curly hair, looks like the world's done him wrong? Anyway, nice to meet you, Cassie. Do you use she pronouns?" He gestured to start walking over to where people were gathering. He wondered why they weren't moving out, not hearing that two were missing.
"Heh. A bite would be bad, wouldn't it?" Ari said as Alessandra pulled him up. The world spun and he clutched her hand tightly to steady himself. "Anyway," he said, voice tight with pain, "plans? Probably will be lying in bed cursing the universe or something. You?"

Wisteria made no move to flinch, staring at him with her usual knowing look. Her heartbeat lurched, but she made no outward show of fear. Yeah it'd be pretty easy for him to just snap her neck right now, but she had confidence in the fact that it wouldn't be beneficial, the consequences were just a little too much. A smirk tugged at her lips and she pushed his hand away, taking a step back and crossing her arms over her chest. Thinking to the dagger pressed to her thigh, she was maybe a little disappointed he hadn't tried. "Fine, I'll be quiet and you can guide me back," she said, holding out her hand to him as if to take, "but if you lay even a finger on my brother, I can't say things will go well for your life."

(oh don't worry Wisty. Jack has better things planned for piper)
Jack spun around and began to walk off, hands shoved into his pockets. He didn't care for her one bit. Prissy little brat, too scared to fight alongside her brother. He suddenly stopped, glancing around for a moment, then looked back at her as he pointed off in the general direction from which they'd come, "Uhhh, this way, right?"

"Yes it would," she smiled softly before her hand gave his a reassuring squeeze. The short Italian walked slowly, giving him time to walk in pace. Plus she didnt feel like hurrying. "Well ill take a siesta sometime in the afternoon. Then im gonna meet my Class B leader at six for a time to talk with him. He seems kinda nice- and like he needs someone to talk to. But i kinda like your plans... hm." She answered in thought

[ oh god im still concerned- ]
Wisteria rolled her eyes and started to follow him, dropping her hand back to her side and picking her way across the the frozen stream. She'd shelve this info for another time, where it'd be more useful. She glanced up as he turned to her, that smirk coming back. "So much for you guiding me, huh," she snorted, pushing past him to lead the way back herself. "Yes, this way. Unless you want to run around for your 'bro' some more."

Jack snorted, shoving his hands into his pockets, "At least I have friends, unlike you. No one likes the girl with a stick up her ass." Following along, he couldn't help one last glance back towards the streambed. There was a cold feeling settling in his stomach as he began to fear that something worse had befallen his friend. He had thought that Risher was too tough and too smart to get dragged away but maybe there was something out there that had taken his friend after all.
Fiona sighed, checking the time. They couldn't stay out here indefinitely to search for Wisteria and Jack, but Fiona wasn't about to leave without them. Pulling her spear free from its holder, she strode towards the front door and began to scan the surrounding hillside. She'd give them a few minutes, then she'd send Piper on with the group and stay behind to find them. There was no way she could leave without a member of her class. She caught sight of Lilah approaching and turned slightly to face her, offering a small smile, "Hey, how's your ankle?"

Wisteria laughed, throwing a look at him over her shoulder. "Right okay, and Risher is the best example of a friend?" she retorted, shrugging in response. Her lack of friends didnt really bother her that much, but she hated to think that Jack had more than her. "Besides, why does a woman need friends when she can have pawns?" she pointed out, heading back up the hill and towards the lighthouse, waving to Fiona and Piper peeking from the doorway when they finally approached.

"Because aren't pawns the ones that die? If all your pawns die, then you're alone and miserable. And no one likes you enough to want to be anything more anyways." Picking up his pace as they approached the lighthouse, he turned and gave her a nasty sneer, "At least your dog of a brother is somewhat likeable." Turning back, he pushed through the doorway, roughly shoving past Fiona as he began to head towards where Anna waited, looking absolutely livid.
Fiona breathed a sigh of relief as she saw the two emerge from the woods. That would have been the worst report ever, trying to explain how they had lost two students while trying to hunt down another. As Jack's shoulder collided with her side, her head snapped down to glare at the class B student and with a quick flick with the butt of her spear, she knocked his feet out from under him. Caught by suprise, he hit the ground with a dull thud, managing to catch himself before his head collided with the cold stone floor. Fiona glared down at him for a moment, spinning the spear slowly until the point rested just a few inches from his exposed back. Smiling, she looked over to catch Piper's eye, "What, Risher never taught you all any manners?"

Wisteria couldn't manage a comment before Jack had pushed his way inside, and she couldn't stop her face from looking pissed off. She sucked in a breath and followed him up the steps, smoothing her skirt again as if to smooth her own hackles. She'd get him back for that comment, that was certain.
Piper let himself relax a bit seeing the two show up unharmed, doing his best not to think about what Wisteria had done or why Jack was out there in the first place. If he knew anything of the two, they were up to no good. Shuffling away from the door, he leaned back against the wall to let them pass, already thinking up some kind of lecture he could give that wouldn't make him out to be an idiot, when Fiona sent Jack sprawling right in front of him. His eyes went wide for a moment, and he turned his head just enough to catch her look, brows furrowing in response. The comment was a painful spike in his side, and he would not have her slander his class, even if she was amiable to him. Besides, she couldn't just stand aside and let her walk all over his classmates, not when he was leader- they'd never let him hear the end of it. Piper turned and snapped his hand out and grabbed her wrist in a tight grip, baring his sharp teeth. "Why don't you set a proper example for your class and shut your damn mouth."

Cassie smiled, slipping into a content mood. It was nice to relax and actually talk to someone, not worried about the Class biases and whatnot. She trailed behind him towards the groups. "Yep, she, her. And uh, sorry, no. I don't think I've seen anyone like that."
"Ankle?" Lilah echoed with an inquisitive tone and cat-like tilt of her head. She had practically forgotten about the injury. Although not that she thought about it, it was probably going to hurt like hell once she could rest, and didn't have adrenaline lingering in her body. "Ah, it's fine. Didn't even notice!" Course, this quaint little conversation was interrupted by Jack. She snickered when he was knocked to his feet, although something about her next words weren't particularly... well, Lilah wasn't sure how to put it. A mild grimace spread across her lips, though only for a moment before she blinked and shook herself out of it. "I was just wondering if you still had my Katar? Because I don't. And I'm really hoping I don't have to go walking back there to get it." And the new things really started to go down hill. Lilah held up her hands and began to back away. "Actually, it's fine, and I'm just gonna go. Don't tear each other apart!"

Fiona felt the vice-like grip close on her wrist and she felt a jolt run through her as she stared down at those freakish teeth. There was a moment of hesitation before she smiled, leaning towards him and using every spare inch she had to bear down on him, "Relax Pipes, it's a joke. No need to be so sensitive." She glanced down at her arm, then back up in a clear gesture. She was going to give him a chance to let her go. Then she was going to drive her knee through his pelvis. Lilah's voice slowly reentered her mind and she glanced over, smiling, "Just give me a sec, I'll grab it once I'm done here." She turned her attention back to Piper, "And we are done here, aren't we?" Her tone made it clear that this was no question, but an order. She would have reached for it with her free hand, but she knew herself well enough to know that her hand would be shaking and that wasn't something she could afford to show. God, those teeth were creepy. There was a moment where she suddenly pictured what those teeth could do and a new wave of panic washed over her. Her free hand on Lilah's side had been tucked into her pocket, but now she began to grip the material of the lining and twisting it in her fist. It took every ounce of self-control to prevent the rest of her body from tensing and showing just how freaked out she was.

Piper narrowed his eyes at her, watching her reaction carefully. He could feel the tenseness in her arm where he gripped it, the way she avoided looking directly at his face. He never thought he'd get a rise out of Fiona ever in his entire life, and deep down he felt a little proud of it, when he wasn't thinking about all the places she could stab him with that spear. After a moment of considering his options, he let go of her, tilting his chin up to show that he wasn't following her order simply because she gave it, but rather out of his own volition. "Don't call me Pipes," he growled, face falling back into a slightly calmer state as he turned to nudge Jack with his foot, sharp teeth concealed once more. Class A never did anything as a joke, and he knew that their pride would be hurting after their failure to assemble during the fight. Fiona would be taking any chance she could get to put them over Class B again, and he wasn't about to make it easy for her. Now it was just a matter of keeping his class one step ahead. Pressing his lips in a flat line, Piper held his hand out to Jack, half as a peace offering and half to help him up.

Gabriel turned his attention to the oncoming fight, well aware of the noises and scuffles behind him. "Yes, we are. I thank you for standing up for your class Piper. Great leadership qualities. I think we should learn from this, hm?" he smiled, though it was sickly and he full well directed it at Fiona. One with the look in his eyes that said, 'you effed up kid.' Coming over, he gently clapped Fiona's shoulder. His smile grew as he directed his gaze to Fiona and patted her arm. "Now lets head out before we get bit, or worse, our whole student body goes missing," he offered, gesturing to the route.
A sense of his annoyance was beginning to drift off, Gabriel gripping his own leather strap. "Because it'd be a shame for Fiona to describe to the school staff how she let her class get bit under her watch. She was surely capable of leading, I'm sure of that's why she was chosen." A sharp jab maybe, but it was one he knew that would hopefully direct her attention to him instead of the lower class. Better to fight when the odds aren't stacked up against you with mutations. With that, the teacher took several steps ahead, giving a small glance behind him. "If we don't head back now, we'll miss breakfast!"

Jack slowly looked between the two class leaders, then reached up and grabbed Piper's hand, hauling himself to his feet. Glancing around awkwardly, he wasn't sure if he should say anything amid the tension radiating off of the leaders and the teacher, so he slipped away to stand by his sister, who immediately smacked the back of his head and began hissing into his ear about all of the stupid idiotic things he did regularly. He mostly ignored her, waiting with hands shoved into his pockets.
Fiona shrugged, giving him a short smile, "Alrighty, just Piper then." Turning to begin to leave, she stiffened as she felt Gabriel's hand on her shoulder and his snide little jabs burrowed straight under her skin. Her face immediately turned bright red and there was a sick feeling in her stomach. What was he doing, what the hell did he think he was doing? Her hands began to shake and she quickly gripped the spear to prevent it from showing. This was insulting. This was a teacher actively embarrassing her in front of the entire student body. She was the class leader for hell's sake and he was actively destroying whatever authority she had. He wasn't even supposed to be here, teachers rarely came out on patrol. But here he was, with that dumb little smile and that dumb little face and every single thing he'd said was making it harder and harder for her to actually do her job. The back of her throat burned and she blinked quickly for a moment, then let go of her spear and reached up under one of the straps of her armor. Pulling out Lilah's katar, she held it out towards the other student, the tip bouncing and jigging slightly in the air.

Lilah only gave a quick nod of acknowledgement and snatched the weapon from the leader before she was scampering away. Finding Stile again, and looking a little spooked, she grabbed his arm and pulled him beside her on the outside of the group that had formed. "Don't worry, Mr. Bloody, I'll protect you. Anyways, I'm pretty sure Risher's dissapearance has... heated things up between the classes." An observation which was not new, but needed to be reiterated. "Because I just watched Piper and Fiona literally bare teeth at each other."

Piper watched him go before snapping his head back to attention, running his hand through his hair as he stepped out through the door of the lighthouse without another word. It could've gone worse, that was certain, but he felt like everyone just needed to get back and take a break. The brief rush of adrenaline from that encounter had sated him, but it was ebbing and pain was coming back in its place. He didn't dare look to his leg, for fear of someone catching his line of sight, so he just walked forward ahead of the group to scout.
Stile glanced over as Lilah shimmied over to him, locking his arm with hers again and smiling a bit. "Oh yeah I saw, it was kind of awesome. Wish they would've done something cooler though," he commented, wondering just how much worse it could get from here on out. Hopefully he'd have a little foresight, at least to keep himself from getting stuck in the middle of it. "Please, oh sweet knight, take good care of me."

Riandylan skipped backwards in front of Cassie so that he could still read her lips. "Aw, that's too bad," he said, slumping a little before straightening up with a smile. "But I'm sure I'll see him later! Everything should be fine!" Inside he laughed at himself. Everything's fine, indeed, hah.
"Yeah, there's always time for cursing the universe," Ari said as they merged into the center of the group. As they did he caught sight of his friend, talking to someone else. He perked up, Riandylan's name on his tongue, before he realized Ree wouldn't be able to hear him. He slumped back, a sudden feeling of sorrow tugging him down. There's no way he could stay connected with Ree, is there? What with the classes at odds and everything. And he can't keep asking Ree to forever forgive his hurtful, thoughtless remarks. He looked away, his mood tarnished.

Fiona led the group through the gates. It had been a rather easy return trip, as the woods had been silent and still. They'd made good time as well and had managed to make it back with all of their students. Fiona didn't say a word, merely waving a hand to dismiss her class before striding off towards Building 03. She wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone right now and while she certainly felt the need to have a chat with Gabriel, she knew better than to do so while she was still fuming. Blasting through the doors, she immediately headed over to where the punching bags hung in the corner. Not even bothering to take off her armor, she merely tossed her spear to the side and slammed her fist straight into the bag, choking back her frustration. Settling into a rhythm, the impact of her bare knuckles against the bag hurt like hell. She began to slow down, work the bag instead of swinging wildly at it, and her heart rate began to slow. Just a few hours of training. Then she'd go see her teacher.
