Caspian rolled his shoulders back and walked back to join the others. "Piece of cake." He said acting like it was no big deal. Part of his pants and shirt were ripped but he didn't care much. Caspian had plenty of clothes so the ones he had one were easily replaceable. Least he didn't lose his shirt like the last few times during a monster fight. "So mission accomplished?" He said to no one in particular. At times Caspian just like hearing the sound of his own voice.

[ for the briefest of moments i was confused as to how Anna got there so fast and then i remembered ]
Piper whipped his head away from Mr.Krusen, hand tightening into a bloody fist as he crested the hill and headed up the path towards the lighthouse. The chilly wind brought the smell of the sea with it, and he was relieved to know that they weren't that far. He felt better about moving on ahead knowing that the others hadn't died, which was easy to confirm now that he could see Anna and Jack looking mischievous as usual, and hearing Caspian's boastful voice behind him. His gaze flickered over towards Alessandra, both confused and surprised to see her, especially after the struggle was over. He didn't recall seeing her face among the group, before and after the monsters decided to crash their party. Turning his face back to the front, he puffed out his cheeks in annoyance as he pushed on ahead. "I'd simply prefer if he wasn't here at all."
Stile pulled Cassie along, now especially considering she had basically turned into a lifeless doll of shock. At least she hadn't started mumbling yet. He pulled his hand from his face and wiped it on his pants, tossing another look at Lilah as she got bearhugged by Fiona. Perhaps now was a bad time to approach her, so he shut himself up and trudged up the cold, muddy grass. As he passed, he noticed one of the other Class A kids, Seven, leaning up against a tree and looking worse for wear. A tiny little Lilah-shaped voice in the back of his head told him to keep moving, and as much as he wanted to listen to it, he couldn't stop himself from grabbing the back of the guy's shirt and leaning in. "Hey, are you okay?"

Lilah titled her head a bit. She was still buzzing, practically, but it was dampened a bit when she noticed Fiona looking around. That wasn't a simply survey of their surroundings. She followed the girl's gaze to those who had actually stayed to fight and it largely consisted of her own class. Fiona's kindness and politeness was a thin veil for her obvious distaste and prejudice of Class B, everyone knew. That ever-present inkling of self-hatred flared up in the back of her mind, recognizing that Fiona was probably pissed that Class B had shown up A. She swallowed down this fear swiftly, wrapping an arm around the other student's waist once she was placed back on the ground. "Medals?" Lilah scoffed loudly. "I say they should present us with a feast. It's the least they could do, considering we saved everyone's ass. Plus... I like food. And you can't eat gold. Well, I can't eat gold, at least."

Actually it's not much effort considering Cassie is having an mini internal meltdown
If Cassie had been a robot, she was pretty sure there would be alarms going off and whirring fans and that weird noise the internet apparently used to make, back when it was first invented. She hardly even noticed Stile had stopped moving, continuing forwards aimlessly. She supposed she could hope that the intimidating looking girl who had saved her earlier was going to save her again if something jumped out, but she was a little too shell shocked to be concerned about her own safety. Honestly, all she wanted was to sit down in some corner and maybe, like, die. Or at least take a very long and restful nap. Maybe drink some hot cocoa, or bake cookies. Or do anything remotely normal! Oh god. Images of the morning's occurances flashed in her mind's eye and she had to suppress her nonexistent breakfast.

Seven spun around as he felt something touch his back. His mind immedi.ately jumped to images of a monster ripping out his spine or dragging him away into the forest. As he spun, he swung his rifle up to aim at his attacker and nearly pulled the trigger before even getting a good look. Luckily he waited, as he found himself staring at the face of Stile, the muzzle of the gun gently pressed against the other student's chest. He relaxed after a moment, dropping the weapon back to his side and running a hand across his face, "I'm fine."
Anna continued to scout around the group, circling through the woods around them to make sure nothing else was going to jump out at them. As she came back for a moment, she noticed Cassie getting a little ahead of the others and looking like she'd checked out entirely. She stopped to walk beside her for a moment, just watching her for several paces before speaking up, "Stop thinking about it. You're going to break down next time if you do."
Fiona grinned down at her, relaxing slightly as they began the walk up out of the streambed and towards the lighthouse with arms still wrapped around each other, "I'll take a feast, a feast would be perfectly acceptable. Though gold's kinda soft, right?" She glanced upwards at the dark canopy as she through for a moment, trying to wrap her mind around the idea, "I'm pretty sure you could eat it, and it would probably make you feel full. It just wouldn't actually do anything for you. I think." Looking back down at Lilah, she gave an exaggerated shrug

Caspian frowned when he realized no one was paying attention to him. "No, appreciation such a shame." He muttered and began to follow the others. Caspian his gun over his shoulder and listens to the conversations all around him. Some were chatting about what just happened and others were talking about something minor.

For a moment, Alessandra blinked curiously. "Well... in any case, he'd probably chew out Class A than us. That's something to look forward to, right?" She asked him as she continued on her way. Her cheeks puffed out as she kept in a quick little scurry to keep up with him, and she momentarily thought back to their conversation. "Oh right! I'll get chewed out for sure by the leader of Class B. Anywho, i forgot to introduce myself. I'm Alessandra. What bout you big guy?"
Her smile stretched out and caused tiny dimples in her cheeks as she looked up through her eyelashes. Piper was an interesting man, thats for sure. Her eyes turned then, looking to Mr. Krusen as he came to a pause and looked at the group behind him. The man seemed to be relinquishing his authority over to the Class Leader- he mihht know where this other Class leader would be.

Piper paused in his trek up the hill, nearly stumbling in his surprise. He whipped his head around at Alessandra, face half amused and confused. It quickly became clear to him that he knew her, but she did not know him. This was understandable, especially considering he hadn't exactly stood out until his promotion, and the only time people really knew him was through Risher. It wasn't like his sister mentioned him much to others, either. The Class B students seemed to uphold the 'every man for themselves' philosophy to a T. For a brief moment he considered lying, claiming he was someone else, let himself bask in the anonymity he had grown accustomed to, but thought better of it. That would just least to a whole lot of awkward scenarios. A sharp-toothed grin spread across his face as he stared down at her. He tried not to think about how he could be misinterpreting her expression at the moment. "Name's Piper. Class B leader."
Stile's eyes widened slightly as a gun bumped into his chest, and he really wondered if karma was catching up to him. He'd seen too many weapons pointed in his direction for one day. Holding his hands up in surrender, he tried not to look to relieved when the guy lowered his gun and left him without any bulletholes. Although he recognized the face and the name, he wasn't acquainted with Seven, as was the case with most of the other Class A students. For now he didn't exactly look threatening or uppity, so Stile would reconcile his prejudices for just a moment.. Lowering his hands a bit, he scratched the back of his neck and gave Seven a once-over to make sure he wasn't dying or anything. "Are you sure? You look pretty shaken. Everyone around me is shellshocked today, wonder if it's me?"

It was time for the short Italian to stumble. She nearly lost her footing, letting out a little cry of surprise as she realized she had been talking to the leader of the class. Her cheeks enflamed and her eyes widened as she quickly thought up of what to say. Maybe an applogy for not ahowing up would be a good start right?
"Im so sorry about not showing up," she began as she lifted her now sweater paws and hid her face. "I didn't remember exactly what time we were supposed to meet and i had some issues with my mutation last night- long story- but i really am sorry!" She began in a voice as if she were pleading on not to be killed. "I can make it up somehow right? Unless that's not an option and missing out on siestas are the only option wellinthatcaseidontknowificanevenmakeuptoit!" She rambled on for a moment and slapped her mouth with her palm.
Her face and ear tips were a bright red, like she came from the sun with a bad sunburn. Brown locks tumbled forward and she bowed her head in shame. Alessandra felt extremely guilty. Her head was on a pike now.

Seven gave him a small smile, masking his nerves as best he could. He didn't want to seem like a coward or anything, especially when confronted with someone he didn't know all that well. He shook his head, letting go of his hold on the small tree to begin walking once more, "No, it's not you. I think no one was really expecting an attack of that caliber today, I thought this was just a quick little search for the Class B leader, a short patrol where we weren't really expected to find much. Not..." he waved a hand towards in the direction of the battlefield behind them, "Not whatever that was."

Lilah snorted with laughter, giving Fiona an incredulous look. "Are you telling me you would eat gold? And you call us the freaks! I'm pretty sure if you ate gold you would either die, or be in extreme discomfort for the rest of your life with a lob of metal stuck in your body." She shook her head, sighing. Now that the danger was largely mitigated, and she was allowed to calm down, the effort that had taken was getting to her. "I think I'm gonna need to sleep for, like, seven years."
Cassie flinched when Anna spoke, blinking a few times before it seemed her brain returned to a functional mode. Her breathing was still short and erratic, though she was shaking less now. "Ah- huh?" Alright, so maybe she wasn't entirely functional. "Oh- uhm... Yeah. Yeah, I'll... I'm trying not to, trust me. I just..." she trailed off, biting her lip and shifting her grip on the gun, which she was currently white-knuckling. "I'm starting to think this might not be the school I should be at." Then she added quieter, glancing aside, "...not that it was my choice to attend..."

Fiona shrugged, "But isn't that a thing rich people do? Don't they put lil gold flakes on stuff all the time? It can't be all that bad." Leading the way up the trail, she reached up and began to untangle twigs and clumps of mud from her hair. While her hands carefully tugged at the tangled strands, she kept an eye on the surrounding woods as the lighthouse slowly appeared through the trees, "I think you may get an hour at most before we need to make the trek back to the school. Then a feast and fiesta sounds good to me."
Anna eyed the gun, then carefully reached out and put her hand over Cassie's, moving her hand a little further away from the trigger, "Well, that's not something to worry about right now. You're here now and there's no getting out of this school at this precise moment. You're here, might as well make the most of it." Anna wasn't good at the whole supportive person thing, it just wasn't something she did all that often. Her tone was rather abrupt and short, but she tried to make it as clear as she could, "And you did save Stile's life. Granted, you did also shoot him in the face, but if you hadn't, chances are he'd either be bitten or dead." Anna began to flip her knife between her fingers, glancing upwards at the lighthouse as they approached, "Not bad for a first outing, new girl."

Piper did a poor job of covering up his amused expression, brushing his thumb over his mouth as he fought a laugh. Okay, maybe he should've been a little more irritated that she'd ended up skipping out on the patrol, but it was probably better that she hadn't attended considering how well it was going. Responsibility did fall on him now though, so he reached out and gave her a light punch to the shoulder. "It's okay, just don't do it again. You picked a very convenient patrol to miss," he pointed out, pointing a finger at her before heading up to the lighthouse. "Don't look so embarrassed, either. I'm not very important."
Stile pursed his lips, briefly, before pressing them into a fine line and making a face. He pressed his hand up against his bloody ear again, other hand tucked in his pocket. He really did not want to admit that he had a vague sense that this would happen, though unable to prevent it. Besides, how was he supposed to know it would be an ambush of this magnitude? He had only seen the big monster. It was a little bit strange, actually, but he could find the error in his information later. He let out a short nervous laugh. "I don't think anyone was ready for it, even if the administration said the monsters were getting agitated," he pointed out, following Seven up the path. "No one died though, which is a good thing!"

"I would not know, seeing as I have never been rich. Nor do I think I ever will be." Lilah couldn't help but laugh at what a mess Fiona looked. While she didn't doubt she looked just as bad, it was admittedly funny. "God, it looks like a badger tried to nest in your hair," She remarked with a smirk. "If you look like that, I don't even wanna know how I look. Showering is gonna be real fun when we get back, huh? Poor janitors..." She shook her head, pulling away from Fiona once they had gotten inside the lighthouse to go searching for Stile.
Cassie stared at Anna. "Wow," she deadpanned, "How encouraging and comforting you are. I feel so much better." Apparantly, fear equated to some anger within her. Quickly realizing what she just did was very rude, she facepalmed with a quiet groan. "I... am so sorry. I didn't mean that, I swear, I'm sure you're a perfectly kind person. I guess I'm not in a particularly friendly mood right now. Being mentally scarred will do that to ya!" She laughed nervously, the pathetic slowly dying off. Anna didn't seem the humorous type. "I'm Cassie. By the way. In case the news of the new kid hasn't gotten around to everyone."

Caspian slows down a bit letting others go in front in him. He almost forgot that he was suppose to be looking for clues. Caspian glanced around keeping his eyes open for anything. "Come on." He mumbled as he looked right and left. Maybe I'm overthinking this. We just had a monster fight there wouldn't be any clues right?

Alessandra Cusmano
Alessandra looked at him with a look of awe, before it was quickly smeared away into that of, 'don't say that' in the end. She had given a little snicker as to his first remark, somewhat proud she managed to miss out on this expedition and was actually quite proud she did. However, at his last statement, she gave a snort of disbelief and jogged up to keep at his side. "Oh don't say that amore, you are important! Who would turn down such a handsome man such as yourself?" she asked with the flutter of her lashes up at him as her cheeks returned to their normal hue.
When they arrived at the top, she saw Mr. Krusen come to a stop mid-way between the other line of the trees and the lighthouse. His coat fluttered for a moment, and he didn't say anything. Turning her azure eyes over the landscape, she caught sight of the two female figures emerging and it was immediate as to who she recognized. "Ah... Leader of Class A and fellow Class B student. How... interesting," she remarked as her head tilted and brows furrowed before the tiny female frame opted to stand still and her arms crossed below her chest. Then again, she wasn't one to judge. Their own group was the mutt of the people. Turning her head, she glanced to those behind her before looking towards the teacher that now opted to speak.
Gabriel Krusen
Gabriel watched for a long time, able to take note of the movements that flickered between the trees until they had finally emerged. "Fiona," The teacher called out, his crossbow now slung over his shoulder and Serene hues immediately darkening. Really, how did she manage to get separated from the rest of the group? The look on his face was definitely one that said he wasn't happy, but then again, who could ever please the once Class A student? HIs brows furrowed and his lips pursed as he opted to let Lilah slide by. He would let her group leader and teachers handle their situation. Even if he was the teacher of a so called, higher class, he didn't think himself able enough to even go into the Class B territory and tell them how to act.
All he did however, was hold out one hand and opted to let her decide to take it or not, if she even needed it. The soon to be middle aged man blinked, taking his eyes and gesturing over the forest. "What happened that you guys managed to mingle in like this?" He asked curiously. He had been in a situation like this, but he was sure it wasn't as terrible. However he did experience something traumatic during this time. He supposed that maybe the outcome was better for them but the whole situation was just as... horrific. Turning his eyes, he cast a nod to the climbing sun. "I figured I'd find out if everything was okay after finding one of the Class B students late. Your groups were taking their time for the expedition."
He pursed his lips, eyes narrowing for a brief moment before they turned across the woods once again. The staff sure kept things even from him. Well, he supposed that's what he deserves in return for his service of this boot camp thing. Either way, he still wasn't happy. Before he had left the compounds he heard that a large pack had been heading their own way to the buildings that morning. His lips pulled into a scowl at the memory, finally looking to the equally tall woman. "But I ended up over-hearing otherwise on my way out. I'm sure I'll be able to explain to your class later. Either way... No causalities?"

Fiona shrugged, "Join the club." While her family hadn't been poor by any stretch of the imagination, they had never been, nor would ever be, wealthy enough to eat solid gold. As Lilah commented on her appearance, Fiona snorted, glancing down at the mud smeared across her armor, "You look fine. I look like I decided to go for a mudbath with my clothes still on." As they approached the woods, Fiona nearly brushed by Mr. Krusen without even noticing him, though she stopped short as he reached out towards her. Giving the class supervisor a quick nod, she abbreviated the situation as best as possible, "We went off path when Piper caught a faint trail belonging to Risher. We were ambushed by beasts down in the old riverbed, with a massive force of smaller creatures backing up a much larger one. I moved in to assist with taking down the larger creature, fending off the smaller monsters while Lilah handled the larger one. The rest of the students who stayed to fight took out the majority of the smaller ones until the rest of the force fled." A grim look settled across her face and her hands slowly clenched into fists, "Sir, I am rather ashamed to report that the majority of class A did not engage the enemy. Seven, Cassie, and Caspian all stayed to fight. The rest of the class fled to regroup at the lighthouse." Walking ahead, she shook her head, "No bites and..." trailing off as she entered the lighthouse, she took a brief survey of the students assembled inside, "no one is missing." Turning back to him, "Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to have a chat with my class." Without waiting for a response, she spun on her heel and stalked over to one side of the lighthouse, "Class A, get over here."
Anna looked down at her, raising an eyebrow at the sarcastic tone. So she did have a spine in there somewhere. Pity she gave it up to apologize a second later. Still, she offered her hand, "A pleasure to meet you, Cassie. I'm Anna Kenning. And oh yes, news of the new student travels fast in this school." Then, with a long slow look up and down the small student beside her, Anna smirked, "And careful, calling a member of class B a nice person, you might just be accused of treason in this school."
Seven's eyes followed Stile's hand and he reached over, tilting Stile's head to get a better look at the rather mangled ear. His eyes widened, "You didn't get bit, did you?" Slinging his gun over his shoulder, he pulled a small cloth out of his pack and began to dab at the side of Stile's head as they made their way up to the lighthouse, one of the last groups of stragglers.

For a moment, Krusen thought as he merely listened. His eyes shifted over her, watching her move off before his arms crossed over his chest. He simply took in the information, slowly moving after her and opting to stand beside her. "Class A cant be perfect all the time," he told her quietly as he awaited for the others to arrive to their leader. His lips pursed, one hand quickly racking through his soft hair before looking to her. He gave a quiet sigh, shaking his head then. "It may be disappointing if they fled, but isn't it your first time together out and facing monsters aside from the decoys back at school?"
His eyes shifted, hand gently resting on her shoulder as he opted to take a step back and listen while waiting in the lighthouse. "Don't be too harsh on them. Just emphasize that running away could result in their own bites. Or something worse," he rumbled lowly. It was then he took a couple steps back, his boots clicking softly as he then opted to stand up straight. It would be time he would watch how Fiona led her group, and how the group responded. It could also give him the opportunity for him to intervene and report to the school instead of them. Better give both classes a good name hm?

Lilah glanced back towards Fiona. She sure hoped that teacher wasn't about to get angry at her, because Lilah already had enough "backtalking" in her records. That was a Class A problem, she reminded herself, and turned back ahead. She frowned when her search turned up no sign of Stile. Maybe he just hadn't made it up to the lighthouse yet? She had been a little preoccupied with Fiona to notice anyone else still walking up. Panic set up in her chest, against her will, as her imagination spun out of control thinking of the awful ways he could have been hurt or killed.
Cassie practically winced at that eyebrow. Oh gosh, she prayed Anna didn't take that to heart. Sometimes stupid things just came out of her mouth! Although that lingering look certainly did not help ease her nerves. This girl was strangely eerie. "Hah, yeah, so I've heard. I don't really understand it. See, I was pretty sheltered my entire life. Guess you could say I lived in a utopia, 'cause my old school was very pro-mutants. They weren't different from us, there wasn't really segregation. My parents taught me to be nice to all the kinds of people I might run across in life." She shrugged, "Guess I'll have to learn otherwise, just to keep my head." Hearing Fiona's voice from inside the lighthouse, which they had nearly reached, she frowned. "Uh-oh. Uhm, it was nice talking to you Anna! See you around!" Hurrying into the building, the small student waited to see what the class leader had to say.

Fiona spun on the teacher, teeth gritting in frustration, "The only one of my students who hasn't seen a monster before is the new girl, Cassie. And guess where she was? In the streambed. She got a kill on her first outing." Shaking her head, she took a step towards him and lowered her voice to ensure no one else would overhear, "This is about them not trusting in each other or in their own skills. So they ran. And they're going to be working their tails off until the choice to retreat from a fight is based on tactics and understanding of a situation instead of just pure dumb fear." Fiona was still fired up from her fight, heart pounding and adrenaline roaring. Granted, she'd never been the sort of student to back down from the administration, considering the situation surrounding her placement in class A in the very beginning. She'd worked and fought and clawed for every inch of ground at this school and the idea that her class, the one she was so incredibly proud to be a part of, had turned tail and let Class B mutts protect them was unforgivable.
Anna couldn't believe it. This girl was a sheltered little child, what on earth was she doing here? Holding open the lighthouse door, she waved an arm to usher Cassie in ahead of her, "That might be for the best. You're going to have a bit of an uphill battle, but if you ever have need of me..." she trailed off as she strolled in and headed off to find her brother. The girl was probably going to last a week at most. Finding Jack, leaning up against the wall and looking bored out of his skull, she .gave him a nudge, "Is there a deadpool on the new girl yet?" He shrugged and she sighed, looking over the crowd of students filling the old lighthouse, "Pity."
