Howdy) "Sure it's not the other way around" Caspian asked as he walked over to them. The twins were weird but he had met much weirder people. "Shall I lead the way"? "It isn't" "the other way around" they mused, watching him with predatory eyes before offering him sweet smiles. "Of course" "lead the way" "we'll enjoy the view" "from behind." They snickered, glancing at each other before looking at him once again.

[ yo, I'm going to drop Gray. I cannot handle writing this many characters. even just with starters. rip ] Ahti Koiv had never been particularly fond of patrols. Group work was not his forte; he prioritized himself first, assuredly both a sane and reasonable decision, and had little interest in compromising his own safety for others. Was this selfish? Yes. Did he care? Not particularly. And weather like this only stood to make the patrol more miserable, and in turn, Ahti’s attitude. He shoves his left hand in the pocket of his hoodie (it’s regulation, nothing too fancy, not like he could afford anything fancy anyways, so maybe the assigned outfit is a blessing in disguise. Doesn’t really matter to him much, either way, but whatever. Whatever.) His right hand is curled around the holster of a gun, fingers flexing because it is freezing, a biting sort of chill, like holding a popsicle by the body rather than the stick. It feels wrong to be holding the weapon. Not that there’s anything wrong with weapons, nothing like that, just - Risher might be out here. And it would really suck if someone shot him by accident. Ahti shuffles his feet, leans back on one leg, a poignantly casual stance, and he’s not ‘trying-too-hard’ to look cool but he is definitely trying.
On the other side of him, Silje, more so in the taller boys shadow than standing on her own, is staring at her hands. She has always been fascinated by the way they seem to quiver. Like - like they were neither here nor there in any particular instance. Obviously they did exist; she was material, could touch things, people, but her position always felt fleeting. As if the faint and natural vibrations of atoms had been dialed up to the extremes in her. A constantly moving ball of matter, nearly ephemeral but clinging to stability like a bug to the windshield of a car, simultaneously not-really-understanding-what-is-going-on and just being along for the ride. She stands with the rest of the Group B kids a shell of complacence. She’s not sure exactly what they’re supposed to be doing (besides, of course, patrolling. That’s nothing new. She’s always been kind of useless at it. Her skill is running away, not fighting, a slight problem in situations like these.)
Oscar Reyes, on the other hand, lived and breathed for patrols. There is not much elaboration necessary to it: she liked being out, she liked being able to do something, and she was occasionally given the opportunity to boss people around. She took way too much pleasure in that than is probably healthy. She stands with the rest of the group A kids, bouncing front one foot to the other like a child on a seesaw, up and down and up and down, a static waltz, rhythmic and probably slightly annoying. Oscar has never been really the traditional weapons type, either. She carries around a Driver - the golf club (it’s name is Bertha) - and prefers to just wack things when they get too close to her. She’s a tiny girl, not much for physical combat against monsters, or anything of the like. But she does have a great backswing.

Heyy I'm on~ )
Lucas walked along, he watched the area around him carefully. Everyone was on edge despite there being nothing here yet. He kept a single hand on his headphones which hung around his neck. If something did appear he would need to be ready at a moments notice to fight. Or flee, depending on what the orders were. His gaze wandered over the group as he made a mental not of everyone's positions. When an order was whispered he moved to follow it.
There was little noise as the group continued. Asher was silent on his feet. He was ready to flick his wrist, releasing the knives which were on wrist sheaths under his jacket. When the orders were given to split into groups he moved with the other three around him and made their way away from the larger group which was still seemingly struggling with the simply order. It may just be that they had not done this yet.

((Sorry for the late start here--been pretty busy the past couple days and haven't really had time to do more than poke my head in. Also nah didn't plan on being OP with Aiden's abilities. I won't have him summoning up rocket launchers or anything lol. Mainly one-handed arms.))
Patrol could be entertaining, Aiden supposed. If they happened to run into any sort of monster it generally proved a perfect occasion to show off. But even with the short blades hanging from his hips--along with any other weapons he might use--combat wasn't the best sort of situation to accommodate his typically playful attitude. Even he wouldn't go so far as to screw around if it got people killed. So, on and off he'd survey the general area, but, lacking a great attention span, that never lasted longer than a minute or two before his eyes would wander, trying to find something more worthy of his attention. Let the other guys spot any nearby monsters. He might've looked like he had sharper vision thanks to his faked cat-like eyes, but the pair of colored contacts did nothing in the way of enhancing his sense of sight. No reason the others wouldn't spot them as easily as he would.
"Yanno what would be great right now? Fire," he announced to nobody in particular. It was dang cold, and he'd had the brilliant idea to come out in jeans and a T-shirt. That was his usual go-to clothing and it apparently hadn't occurred to Aiden that they'd be out long enough for the cold to bother him. A torch, even, might've helped, but all he would've been able to summon up was a useless, flameless stick.

Cassie had gone from looking like a shaking lead to a very poorly puppeteered marionette doll, walking stiffly in an attempt to prevent herself from shivering. As Piper halted the group, she nearly ran into someone in front of her, giving a sheepish grimace, waddling a few steps back. This was so unsettling. So damn eerie and unsettling and scary and she did not like it. Afraid to ask questions, she allowed herself to wallow in confusion as order were given out, unsure what group to go with. She had a gun, but she wasn't going to particularly useful with it, so she didn't really think about that. With a frown, the new student wildly glanced about before spotting the boy from yesterday up ahead, jogging to catch up with his group. "Hi," she greeted breathily, hoping he wouldn't request she leave the group, lest she drag them down.
Lilah snorted at Stile's clumsiness. "Don't you know you don't mess with the super twins, Stile, sheesh!" She rolled her eyes, glaring at Anna and Jack. Lilah wasn't about to pick fights with possibly the most dangerous kids in school, but that wasn't going to stop her from being snarky. Her attention was drawn to Piper. He had been here? She huffed quietly. Yeah, he had been here, and now he was probably dead. Time to go find a body. Which, normally, would be a drag. "Huh?" Not when Fiona was asking a Class B kid to go with her. The usual signs of nerves hopped in her chest, Lilah glancing back to Stile with an almost pleading "protect me" expression before nodded. "Yeah, yeah, sure." She cleared her throat, gripping her weapons at the ready instead of spinning them, seeing as Fiona was quite on duty right now. "You know, a tiny ankle injury isn't gonna get me killed, right?"

Yo)
"Good to know." Caspian said turning around his back to the twins. He started to lead the way keeping his eyes open and ears alert for any signs of monsters. Caspian gripped his gun and moved with confident but also with caution.

The twins reached to their sides, pulling out their long, slightly curved daggers. They each had two, and it was practically the only weapon they were good with, give them something else and they might accidentally impale someone. They kept a watchful eye out, for once keeping their mouths shut because while they enjoyed causing issues from time to time and the like, on patrol that was different. They weren't about to risk letting each other die simply because they were too immature to take anything seriously.
