Well, this is something to read at 1:50am. I don’t think Viralstorm had any bad intentions with their replies. I don’t believe Whispermoon did either, despite being worked up and upset from what’s taken place today (or yesterday, I guess). I read all of this as a big misunderstanding, but that’s my take on it. No one meant any harm or anger towards another unless either of you really did want to incite such behavior. Anyways, I think I’ll move these comments so the thread can continue.

Ok, what is wrong with a character having a mental illness? There is nothing wrong with a character having a mental illness. Clawface having an alter would likely invoke sympathy for his main alter. Also, I said one alter could be cruel, not evil. I never elaborated on what I meant. What I meant was that maybe one alter is just very strict in following Brokenstar and the main alter uses the loyal alter as a coping mechanism of following Brokenstar. Just because most instances of characters with DID are stereotyped as unpredictable with an “evil” alter, it does not mean that Clawface would be exactly like that and not every character has to be “good” or “evil”, some could be both. There are also plenty of examples of characters with split personalities that are not misrepresented, yet still have opposite personalities. I do not like thinking of any character as a villain (evil), but rather as simply antagonists (opposition). On a final note, I was referencing DID as an example of Clawface having two personalities. I highly doubt any mental disorders will ever be referenced in the books (not including the Warriors Website). As such, it could be revealed that Clawface has two personalities while being very vague as to if it is DID. Also, while I do not have DID, I do have a mental disorder, just a different one. When did I ever say that it was wrong for a character (or a real life person for that matter) to have a mental illness? As someone who also has multiple although DID is not among them (autism, depression, anxiety, OCD and others) it would be illogical and unfair of me to do this! You are being quite hostile right now and I'm currently not in the mood to engage with that. Perhaps re-read my original reply to you on this thread again or if you haven't already to understand my viewpoint a bit better before getting so defensive over someone having valid concerns with your headcanon. The whole reason why I brought up the headcanon was to brainstorm an interesting idea that would make Clawface a tragic character. I did not think that my previous post was hostile, but if it was, then I apologize. I just do not understand how book ideas/headcanons could bleed over to effect real life. I do understand how this kind of thing can bleed over from visual media like film or theater, but I do not believe words on a page can affect real life negatively. Also, there are so many characters (protagonists and antagonists) in Warriors (and literature) that do have real life mental illnesses. I admit that sometimes it can affect real life people if the characters are very close to real. But I do not believe that this is the case with Warriors or the Clawface headcanon. For one thing, Clawface and the other characters of Warriors are fictional in a fantasy universe. Tragic characters also need not be “good” or even “mostly good”. Villains also need not believe themselves to be “evil” or even act “evil”. They could be loyal to a greater villain. Also, Blackstar was also initially written as a villain on the level of Clawface. Some big examples of villains (in other works) who are so villainous, but sympathetic include: Hurin Thalion, Turin Turambar, Sméagol/Gollum, Mim the Petty-dwarf, Maeglin of the House of the Mole, Feanor, Maglor, Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader, Tyrion Lannister, Jaime Lannister, Harvey Dent/Two-Face (Telltale games), Blackstar, Onestar, Clear Sky, Mapleshade, and last but not least, the Tribe of Rushing Water (Moonrise). I am not intending for this post to come off as hostile, so if it does, it was not my intention.

I never intended to come off as me trying to tell you what to do or that you cannot headcanon Clawface to have DID but if I did, my apologies. There was simply a concern I had with that and also expressed to still have but made sufficiently clear in my previous replies to you. So, I'm thinking it's best to let this matter rest on my side and move on from this conversation now instead.
