Would anyone be willing to join a kit-stealing Clan? I was a SavageClan member back in the day, and I miss the fun that came with it. But I don't want to go through the trouble of making one if no one is interested in that kind of thing anymore.

I am! Kit-stealing clans are very cool, also they have a lot of drama involved.

The thing with kit-stealing Clans is that they cause issues along the lines of necroposting, plagiarism, and breaking immersion in some Clans. It was more viable in the past with some short cuts, but I don't think so much now.

while I do miss it, that was also at a time when there were literally HUNDREDS of active Clans. Like, when the first page was only the most recent 15-20 minutes at most; nowadays, that list is usually a week+ and most are 1x1's or bumps of dead threads.
I think it wouldn't be the same. You'd have to make your own "Clans" to steal from, without other's OC. Rescues may be more viable, since there are so many dead threads, but I agree with Rain that active users are more likely to be upset if you take their oc. Tho tbh if you just took the prefix + general pelt probably wouldn't be the biggest issue, since there's hundreds of grey tom Sootkits in the world.
Now if someone were to create and rp the entire Clan being stole from, that could be a functional solution, though it might feel more like a tabletop rpg than a rp. I would be down to do something on the lines of this:
Rp occurs in the kit-stealers camp. This could also double as adoption center to get rid of the extra bodies, so to speak; if you want the kit-stealing to be the focus, it may be difficult to age them out on the slower scale that the forums run nowadays. But yea, daily rp happens here with whatever plots come up (every once in a while, a counter raid as well)
For raids, they could function kind of like rpg's. A random Clan will be made (or several, each with unique territories and challenges) with a difficulty rating and a number of cats recommended for a raid. Each cat would have a few simple modifiers too: a strength, a wit, and an agility rating. There would be challenges to overcome, and each person would use dice to represent their cat's skill in the raid (probably either a 3d6 + mod method, or perhaps a xd6 system...) and if the pooled value is greater than the difficulty of the action, the cats succeed (and either the "GM" will post a blurb of what happens for flavor, or players can post how their cat does the action and helps). Depending on the "difficulty" rating and how many kits are trying to be stolen, there will be a different number and type of checks.
When the raid is over, it goes back to rp'ing the consequences of that raid: new kits, a fresh loss, injuries, deaths perhaps, ect
