Lionpaw "Good, good," she lied, answering Batpaw's question. She hadn't even received any training in the past few days, let alone learnt something! But, it was what one would call a white lie, so she let it slide, despite being very blunt and honest usually.
Noticing Batpaw's tense expression, she shifted her gaze to the two apprentices before her. Oh... oh. He thinks the same as I do, probably!
"Blegh! That molly has got to let my brother go, I can't stand seeing them act so lovey-dovey," she whispered, making sure only the brown tom could hear her.

Saltwhisker
with parrotcall, whitepaw, algaewing Tealraven thejadestorm Feathertalon Saltwhisker stared at Parrotcall, completely dumbfounded. "Uh... um..." His ears quivered as he tilted his head, a questioning look in his dazed eyes. "I, um... I have noticed, yes. But I'm yet to uncover the truth behind it. It's been going on for about a moon, but the symptoms have gotten worse ever since me and Algaewing went herb picking a couple of days ago," he recalled, blinking. An overwhelming sadness seeped through his pelt as he remembered the incident. He and Algaewing had gotten into an argument, resulting in the blue eyed tom leaving. The worst part was that she seemed happy about it. He didn't understand, though; why had he felt so pitiful when he realized that? Hadn't they been rivals?
He shook his head, ridding himself of his thoughts.
"What are you trying to imply? If you know the remedy to this horrid disease, please inform me. I can't stand this weirdness! I've been feeling flushed, anxious, dreamy, half awake... but only when she's around..." He continued blabbering, shifting his gaze to the herb-stocked shelf behind the colorpoint healer. "But maybe, just maybe if I added cinnamon bark to my fever ointment..." He looked back at his colleague. "Maybe then I'd stop the fever! What'dya think?!"

Tigerpaw »
Satisfied that Ripplepaw was a lot more relaxed than she had been earlier, Tigerpaw turned back to Batpaw and Lionpaw. He had been worried that Ripplepaw would be upset over them ushering to get her to a healer, but the tension in her shoulders had faded, and the dark look in her blue eyes had cleared. Tigerpaw felt himself relax as well. A tightness in his chest loosened. Nobody was upset with anybody. That was good. That’s what he wanted. Keeping peace was important to him, and even more so was staying in the good graces of all those around him. Enough cats despised him thanks to his heritage, he didn’t need his denmates also clawing at his throat and spitting on his mere existence.
As he looked back to his two companions he noticed that they were now sparking up conversation. He flicked his tail upward to grab their attention. It was a subtle enough gesture to not jar them out of their own chatter, but obvious enough for them to know he was addressing them. ”I’m gonna head out,” he told the two. He didn’t mind them talking among themselves, but he also didn’t want to lose track and stray from Algaewing’s request. She was sure to expect them to report sometime soon. They had been able to check in on Lionpaw and Ripplepaw, but Tigerpaw was hoping to find another few cats before seeing Algaewing. Like earlier he wondered if Hootpaw was around. He hadn’t seen much of the black molly and that was strange. He had always been close with her, best friends even, and her suddenly disappearing from his life had him concerned. Perhaps her training was picking up and she didn’t have as much free time, but Tigerpaw assumed she would still come see him before heading off to sleep. He supposed he could try and do the same, but every time he did spot her and try to head her way something pulled them apart once more, or Hootpaw simply padded away from Tigerpaw. It was…odd and the emotions he had over it were too confusing to figure out right now.
He shook his head, mentally telling himself to not get worked up over it. Hootpaw was busy, just as he was busy. Their paths would cross again soon. That’s what he kept telling himself as he exited the apprentices’ den, looking over his shoulder to see if Ripplepaw, or even Batpaw and his littermate, had followed behind.

Batpaw // ☾—ivy。˚⊹♪:¨ ·- Batpaw jumped as he realized that Lionpaw was able to read how he felt seeing Ripplepaw and Tigerpaw together. His ears flattened and he looked at the cream-colored she-cat. " Were my expressions that obvious?" the tom purred, teasing the apprentice next to him. " But, yeah. It's funny to me. Even though I'm an apprentice myself, seeing apprentices in love is funny to me, but it's cute nonetheless. " He sat down, taking a break from standing for so long. The brown apprentice looked at two other apprentices in front of them, and he dipped his head seeing Tigerpaw leave the two and head with Ripplepaw to who knows where. " At least they have someone to love and someone that loves them! I'm sure I'll die alone if I still have fluffy fur when I'm a scout."

Lionpaw Lionpaw acknowledged Tigerpaw's gesture with a simple nod, taking a seat a couple of mouse lengths from Batpaw. "Ah, trust me, your fur isn't as bad as you think it is. Just take a look at mine!" She hung her head low, pointing her muzzle at her messy, wild fur. "No matter what I do I can't get it to be nice and groomed for any longer then a hunter's pouncing moment!" She chuckled, lifting her head to stay at an eye level with the scout-to-be.
Hmm... maybe I can find a new friend in Batpaw. He seems quite nice. I've been getting lonely, anyway, she thought, recalling every time she'd snuck out of camp and realized how alone she was, ending every "expedition" with an ominous, sorrowful loneliness.
Well... maybe, just maybe this cat isn't as serious and boring as I thought!

Ripplepawwith lionpaw, tigerpaw and batpaw rob lucci's wife Feathertalon Ripplepaw frowned, twitching her ears as Tigerpaw shook his head. I should at least ask him how he's doing. I kind of owe him that, for how comforted I felt by his words a couple of days ago...
"Hey, Tigerpaw? All's good?" She smiled in an attempt to seem as subtle as possible in trying to fix whatever was bothering the neophyte. She opened her mouth again, quickly closing as her eyes widened. Oops... almost let that slide again.
She recalled the moment in which she had called out to the tabby tom as they were running towards the Palm Coast. She'd used a nickname, and, although she wasn't really sure what it was, something inside her lit up at that moment. Perhaps it was the feeling of belonging the molly had longed for? Whatever it was, she was too scared to repeat it.

Batpaw // ☾—ivy。˚⊹♪:¨ ·- Batpaw looked at Lionpaw with awe not realizing how messy her fur was as well. " I suppose we can both understand the struggles of having fuzzy hair." Batpaw started grooming his chest fur, hoping that its wildness would settle down for once. " It's a pain to groom when it starts to rain as well." It's weird how I never really talked to the other apprentices up until now... Batpaw thought in his head as he continued mindlessly grooming his dark fur. The apprentice, albeit he didn't show it, was glad to have had a conversation with someone of his rank. I never even put the effort to talk to any cat here too. They probably think I'm strange or too stuck up to talk to.

Tigerpaw »
Ripplepaw’s voice snapped the brown tabby out of his thoughts. His blue gaze flickered from the apprentices’ den back to Ripplepaw. He forced a smile when he registered the molly’s question. ”Yeah, yeah. All’s good,” he mewed levelly. It wasn’t an entire lie, Tigerpaw was good. For the most part. He was anxious for Lionpaw and Batpaw to return to him so they could continue their task, but he supposed there wasn’t as much of a hurry as he thought there was. Maybe he was trying to rush this along since this was for both Algaewing and Coconutfall, two cats that Tigerpaw did not want to disappoint. He wouldn’t want to disappoint them no matter what, but now knowing that one was his oracle and father while the other was an exceptional healer and his sister, he wanted them to be proud to call him kin. He wanted to show them that he could handle whatever fate had in store for him. Tigerpaw wanted to show the Clan that the Ocean made the right choice in him.
There was also the fact that he hadn’t talked to any cat about the vision he received the other day. The pressure of knowing he needed to speak about it weighed heavy on him, and he wanted to tell Coconutfall, wanted to see if the oracle had similar signs or just suggestions about how to decipher it, but every time he tried telling his father something stopped him whether it be another cat interrupting or some other cat was already taking with Coconutfall. Even during their last training session together Tigerpaw hadn’t felt like there was a right time to talk about it. He knew he needed to say something about it and soon. It had been an incredibly jarring vision, and even now Tigerpaw could vividly remember drowning in the blood red waves.
Pushing these thoughts aside, he returned his focus back to Ripplepaw. ”I just really hope I don’t mess this assignment up, ya know? Coconutfall and Algaewing are putting a lot of trust in me and Batpaw. Plus I just want the Clan to be safe. The quicker we get rid of the bugs the quicker things can go back to normal.” On the tip of his tongue remained a ’I hope’. It was unspoken, but a fleeting look over his face said it all. So many things were out of the ordinary that things might never go back to normal.

WAVECREST palm coast / with mosslight
"I like fishing," he admitted, voice quiet. A salt-kissed breeze ruffled his fur and he turned his face into it, closing his eyes and breathing deeply. "I like the sea. It grounds me. It's steady, constant; you can rely on it when you can rely on no one else." He opened his eyes. Even when everything else is changing too fast, the ocean will always be there, always familiar. He padded down the beach, the sand soft beneath his white paws, and waded into the shallows. He shivered at the cool touch of water lapping around his ankles. He darted an over-the-shoulder glance at Mosslight. He had come here to fish, not chitchat, but he felt awkward just abandoning her to her scouting duties. "You don't have to stay up there."
PARROTCALL healers' den / with saltwhisker, algaewing, coconutfall, & whitepaw
Parrotcall studied Saltwhisker closely, noting his stammering, blinking, and the way his gaze kept darting to Algaewing - as if he couldn't help it. As if his eyes were drawn there naturally and he hadn't even noticed. The poor tom's acting like a lovestruck apprentice, he mused. Then understanding dawned on the flame point healer, and Parrotcall wanted to slap himself. Of course! Why hadn't he thought of it sooner? He himself had spent most of his apprenticeship pining after fellow Clanmates; sometimes a different one each moon, sometimes two at once. Fortunately, he hadn't experienced such infatuation for moons. He cringed inwardly, glad he'd outgrown that phase. Though it did explain why the glazed look in Saltwhisker's eyes had seemed so familiar.
"Saltwhisker," said Parrotcall, very serious, "I think I know what ails you. And I, in my professional opinion and infinite wisdom, prescribe you this treatment: spend more time with Algaewing." Despite the solemn tone of voice, his eyes glittered. "I guarantee you will stop feeling so anxious and feverish if you allow yourself to be more comfortable around her. I daresay you'll even feel better for it." He smiled at Algaewing, feeling the tiniest bit sorry for her as she was unknowingly sentenced to more time with Saltwhisker. He had a hunch that she might not mind, however. "Don't overthink it, just be yourself."

STORMSURF camp / with redwave
"You? Naive? Of course not," said Stormsurf with an indignant toss of his head, pretending to be offended. His eyes traveled the length of the hunter's powerful body. "You've got the looks, but your methods of collecting allies leaves a little to be desired." He shrugged. "I don't mind, but poking and prodding others with questions right away might imply that you're up to something."
His ears swiveled forward, genuinely curious to hear what Redwave had to say about his information. He knew the few names he'd provided weren't much to go on, but he hadn't expected to be interviewed on the spot. If only he'd had more time to make a stronger impression; he could have given Redwave a lot more had he been patient. His irritation was well concealed as he listened attentively and nodded along to Redwave's assessment. "Don't count her out," he said of Lilypool. The healer was no rebel, it was true, but she seemed kind and well-loved by most. "Persuade her to join you and the Clan will see a compassionate leader who cares for the meek and mild as well as the strong. You also have more damage control should she prove to be too weak. Keep her from speaking out against you." Stormsurf wondered if Redwave would actually go so far as to threaten his sister to stay silent. That would be an interesting turn of events.
Then the conversation turned to Cloverstep and the teasing warmth in the healer's eyes guttered. "I haven't spoken to her about it. Not recently. Our duties usually keep us apart," He said tersely. It was partly true; he had no idea where she stood on the issue. He never analyzed his sister the way he did others. His trust in her was without question. He also didn't really want her getting tangled up in... whatever this was. At the very least, he would not volunteer her without running it by her first - she deserved to know what she was getting herself into.
"Tell you what," Stormsurf proposed, smoothly changing the subject before Redwave could further question him about Cloverstep, "let me do some more investigating for you, and I'll have a list of names for you by the next Flower Night. Which, incidentally, would be an excellent opportunity for networking in itself. I give you the names, and you tell me the next phase in your plan, and we go from there. Sound good?"

Saltwhisker
with parrotcall, whitepaw, algaewing, coconutfall Tealraven thejadestorm Feathertalon Saltwhisker's eyes widened in confusion and pure shock as Parrotcall spoke. "But... that'd be a total death sentence for the both of us!" His ears flattened at the thought of the argument that had taken place just a couple of days ago. "You see... we'd gotten into an argument just recently," he mewed, his voice a mere whisper so that Algaewing doesn't hear him. "And I got really, really mad... It's sounds strange, but I can really lash out too. It was enough to make me leave. The worst part is, I'm certain she was happy about it..." His eyes glazed over with another emotion; sadness. It had really hurt him to realize that she had most certainly felt good about the argument.
"You know what? I'll try talking to her anyway. I mean, I'd have to get out the fact that I loveeee..." His face flushed with color as he looked around, trying to find a way to patch what he had said up. "...watching her heal other cats! Yeah... watching her heal cats...."
Way to go, Salt. Now Parrotcall's gonna know you have a cru... Wait, do I really? Or is this something I've jabbed into my head...?

Ripplepawwith lionpaw, tigerpaw and batpaw rob lucci's wife Feathertalon Ripplepaw nodded. "I understand. Still, you shouldn't pressure yourself so much. I don't know exactly what's on your mind but I'm here if you feel you need someone to talk to." A friendly smile lingered on the molly's delicate features, a reasurring hope amongst the many faults of the Clan.
I hope he's been doing good with whatever happened back at the Palm Coast, she thought worriedly. He'd proven himself a trustworthy cat with a heart of gold and an undying eagerness to learn. She wanted to see him happy, but with the circumstances present, it was hard to achieve that.

Redwave »
For all his flaws Redwave knew Stormsurf was right. His way of recruitment was an imperfection. The counselors had even told him that. Charisma had never been a strong suit of the red tabby, and now more than ever was that showing. But now he had Stormsurf to make up for that; the other tabby could handle the charisma based interactions while Redwave handled the rest. They made a good team on the surface level for what it was worth. He nodded his agreement. ”Right, right.” He needed to space out his questioning. Needed to be suspicious, subtle, sneaky. Word of a rebellion didn’t need to get to Coconutfall before it could happen.
Redwave wasn’t counting Lilypool out. She very well could become part of the rebellion, but this was perhaps one of the few things Redwave would need time to persuade her. Typically she would follow him or any of their littermates without question, but this was a lot to ask. Out of all his littermate she was the one willing to make amends with Coconutfall, and even now she probably was on civil terms with their father, but she could be on civil terms with him and still want to see him replaced. ”I can get her to believe it’s the best thing for Coconutfall. Make her think he’s miserable as the oracle, that he wants to step down but feels like he can’t unless some other cat tells him to do so.” Not like that was far from the truth, most of what Coconutfall did wasn’t until some other cat pushed him to do as much. The tabby had always been like that. He wasn’t much of a leader. ”Lilypool will be on our side in time. I can guarantee you,” he told Stormsurf, firm in his belief of that.
As for Stormsurf’s sister, things could pan out differently. Just like Redwave and Lilypool, Stormsurf and Cloverstep were in different occupations, one a healer and one a hunter. Redwave probably saw more of Cloverstep than Stormsurf did. ”Fair enough,” was his response. ”Maybe soon your paths will cross.” There was always the scenario in which Redwave asked the molly on her stance. Perhaps he would if he saw Cloverstep before her littermate did.
Before he could ruminate on Cloverstep for long, Stormsurf piped up once more, this time with a proposal. Redwave listened intently, ears perked and turned toward the other tom. A wily smirk pulled at his lips. ”You’ve got a deal.” A Flower Night was approaching, but there was still plenty of time for Stormsurf to search around and gather a list of cats willing to join him, and if there were cats he couldn’t get to before that night then the night itself would sever that gap. The entire Clan would be gathered at the Calm Falls. It was a night off from duties, a time to relax and reflect on what had happened in the span of a moon. And, Redwave mused, the perfect time to gather a following.
Tigerpaw »
Was his concern that easily read on his face? Tigerpaw wouldn’t doubt it, he had been told plenty of times before but Whitepaw that no matter how hard he tried to hide what he was feeling, those emotions would always manifest. He had never been a closed off cat. It wasn’t in Tigerpaw’s nature to shy away from others regardless of how he felt, he was social and always had been. Perhaps it was of no surprise that Ripplepaw could easily see that something plagued his mind; however, he kept it all to himself. Coconutfall needed to hear what was on his mind first, or perhaps even Sandheart. He could always talk to his mother about anything, of that Tigerpaw was sure.
A swell of gratitude made itself vocal in the form of a purr. ”Thanks, Ripplepaw. That means a lot.” He stood there looking at the molly for a moment longer before again his attention turned to the apprentices’ den. Should he go check on Batpaw and Lionpaw? He didn’t want to rush them, but they couldn’t stay in the den all day. They had Algaewing and Coconutfall waiting on them. Unable to think of anything else, he directed a question toward Ripplepaw. ”Should I go check on them?” Maybe he was just being too antsy or maybe they were taking a while to join back up with him. Either way, Ripplepaw would confirm which was true.

((sorry for the long delay! harder than i thought it would be to stay on top of schoolwork this semester T.T was struggling to write so here's a short reply for each to get the ball rolling!))
algaewing with whitepaw, parrotcall, coconutfall, and saltwhisker
"I can apply the neem, Whitepaw," Algaewing said, frowning curiously after Saltwhisker and Parrotcall. "It'll just be the oil, and I'll apply it to the base of your neck so that you don't accidentally lick it off." This she said with a bit of lighthearted tone, and off to work she went. While tension lingered with her father still in the room with her half-sister, Algaewing felt at least in control of the situation, with herbs in her teeth and a patient to be taken care of. This was her job. She knew how to do this. She could totally handle this and ignore any and all family-related business!
"I'd say wait for about a full moonrise and moonset," Algaewing said, applying the neem oil carefully, "to see if you gain any more bites. Let me know then, alright?"
basiltail with cassia and yoko
Basiltail was smiling over Yoko as he pinned the loner down, barely flinching at Yoko's swipe across his muzzle. "My my, you could use some training, hm...? Next time, watch and anticipate your enemy's movements so -"
His words were abruptly cut off as Cassia came in yowling, hauling him off of Yoko. She flung Basiltail to the ground, whose surprise was but for a moment before he rolled back to his feet. His tail swished. "Now it's a proper two on one," he purred. "Tell me, are you about to lunge simultaneously? Or one from either side?" His eyes darted from one to the other. "Hmmm, what will your strategy?"
mintsong with the boa patrol
Mintsong's ears perked up, on high alert as she kept a watchful eye on the movement of the forest. She listened close, both to the chirps and wind sighs of the outside and to any alarm that may arise from within the snake's den.
"I don't like this," she growled, her mew rumbling low in her chest. "I feel as though a bad omen hangs over our heads."
She sniffed the air, hackles rising. *I smell boa.* "Heads up," she barked as she lowered herself to the ground. "Follow me." Slowly she made her way around the perimeter. Inhaling through her maw, she followed the scent, growing stronger and stronger -
"You!" Mintsong snarled, lunging for the patterned scales. One slash, however, she realized the truth behind the illusion. "... Skin?" she said, raising the piece ensnared in her claws. "Then where's..."

Cassia
Cassia hissed, walking forward. The deep gash above her eye hadn't stopped bleeding yet, causing her to lose balance and precision. However, she didn't let this shake her confidence.
She turned to Yoko, a questioning look in her green eyes. Her gaze was holding a question: what to do now?, although she was certain he'd have no idea.

He dashed forward as he heard Mintsong's voice exclaim something, his claws unsheathed. He fell into a hunter's crouch, ready to pounce. Right before he lunged forward he assumed his natural position. "Huh... looks like it has molted."
He sniffed the light colored skin, fascination clear in his clear yellow gaze. "Wow, this thing's huge...!"

Whitepaw »
Whitepaw could care less about the ordeal with Saltwhisker. She did notice how Parrotcall pulled him to the side, and whatever was spoken was out of earshot of the scout apprentice. Another itch burned at her flank, drawing her attention fully to herself. Her tail lashed as she leaned down with her head, biting at the itch furiously. She was tired of these bugs and she had only had them for not even an entire day. If she had done a better job at fighting the boa then maybe she wouldn’t even be stuck in this position. She wouldn’t have needed to visit the healers to get a stupid wound taken care of. Vibrations rippled along her throat as a growl formed. Stupid boa, stupid bugs, stupid wound, stupid Coconutfall, thought the molly angrily. She continued biting at her flank even after the itching had ceased, her tongue now harshly licking the area, her fangs working on the already sensitive skin with a vigor that resembled obsession.
It wasn’t until an oddly wet sensation trickled down her scruff that Whitepaw escaped these thoughts. The molly jolted out of her actions, fur bristling, startled. She whipped her head upward, stopping when she realized Algaewing was right there working. Taking a deep breath, Whitepaw forced herself to settle down, though the feelings of fright still lingered heavy. Shoulders taut and claws partially unsheathed, it took Whitepaw a few more moments to fully settle.
Finally the apprentice calmed. She sat there trying to ignore the foreign feeling of neem on her neck as it seeped into her fur and settled on skin below. It left a cooling sensation, odd to feel when there was still humidity in the air. ”Am I good to go until then?” Whitepaw tossed the question over to Algaewing as her bi-colored gaze found the mottled molly. Whitepaw was ready to get out of the healers’ den. Well, she would miss the close proximity she had with Butterflypaw, but there would be time to still see the calico, especially if she had to check back in with Algaewing in a day.
Tigerpaw »
For a moment Tigerpaw felt himself lower. It was Ripplepaw’s first statement that confirmed he was just being way too antsy about this whole thing. Maybe he was trying too hard to impress his father and half-sister. The idea of disappointing any cat created anxiety in the pit of his stomach, but he felt that worry even more when it came to his kin, especially when things were rocky at best with his family. It was something he needed to work on, he just had no idea how to work on that.
But then Ripplepaw yowled out to the apprentices’ den, calling out for Lionpaw and Batpaw. Tigerpaw’s eyes went wide as he looked at the molly, jaw slack. He didn’t want to disturb the two or jolt them out of any conversation, but Ripplepaw clearly didn’t care. Maybe it was better to be that way. She probably didn’t get overly stressed about making sure every cat was happy, and that allowed her to speak her mind clearer than Tigerpaw ever could.
