cliffstorm n creekpaw [with boa patrol - Tealraven, ☾—ivy。˚⊹♪:¨ ·, thejadestorm, aether]
Creekpaw traveled in bursts of speed, lunging this way and that repeatedly. This was exciting. Where were they now? The Gecko Ravine? That was nice. Finally, battle. Creekpaw's brain roared with different battle plans. Maybe they would split into two, one for distraction, one for sneak attack? Creekpaw would like being on attack team. Or maybe they would surround the boa and trap it that way? That would be fun. Or fight the boa in pairs! Creekpaw loved pair fighting. He turned in an excited circle quickly, almost knocking into Lemonpaw. "Oops, sorry Lemonpaw."         Cliffstorm preferred a more... subdued pace. He watched Creekpaw with faint amusement. He and Gulfpaw were both exactly like that. They were almost identical in pelt and personality. That was apprentices, after all. aAlways rushing here and there in a crazed motion.         Cliffstorm sped up a little to talk with Jacarandabloom. Eyes curious, he asked, "Hey Jacarandabloom, do you think we'll actually see the boa? He might only come if a cat's alone."

Bluepool
"W-what?!" Her face flushed with colour, and her pelt felt hot and sticky. She flattened her ears as she stopped her grooming session.
"No... I mean- yes?" All of both Bluepool's and Ospreyfeather's mutual efforts to keep it on the down low were now useless; the flustered look on her face was then replaced by a stern expression. "Why do you have to dig your nose into my business, anyway?" A questioning look glazed her blue eyes as they darted from Islandmist to Seabreeze. "Shouldn't you be healing cats or something?"

SaltwhiskerSaltwhisker tilted his head thoughtfully. "Um... I've sorta had a fever lately. But I've taken care of myself, I promise! I take my usual treatment for fevers everyday, but I still feel..." He narrowed his blue eyes as the color point tom paced around him. "I don't know how I feel."
An alarming confusion struck the gray and white tom as he pondered. What had he been feeling? He felt like lorikeets were bouncing around in his belly constantly. It was a strange, pleasant yet annoying feeling.
"I don't think I have remedies for everything," he squeaked, flattening his ears in defeat.

Eelnose with: Kiwipaw Tealraven at Camp
Eelnose watched as the apprentice bit into the piece of prey, initially worried that the bird may be inadequate. But he was reassured by Kiwipaw’s smile, returning it with one of his own and even giving a little chuckle at his sibling’s embarrassing account and the blush that followed. The younger tom always had a way of bringing out the best in Eelnose, which was evident in the fact that they shared a pleasant silence; if it were anyone else he was sitting with, Eelnose would have found the silence to be painfully awkward.
The hunter nodded in agreement with the statement that broke their silence. It had been too long since they’d spent some quality time together, and Eelnose felt partially responsible. He had never been one for initiating anything, really, and the recent tensions within the clan had made him an even bigger recluse. But it wasn’t fair to Kiwipaw that they had been spending less time together, and Eelnose wholeheartedly agreed with the apprentice’s suggestion to change that. ”I… I would really like that,” He said, his mouth upturned in a glad smile. ”We could do our duties and spend time with each other, both at the same time. It will be… fun!”Blackfang with: Skinkstripe Feathertalon at Camp
As if her body language couldn’t give it away enough, Blackfang could almost feel the pride and joy radiating off of Skinkstripe as she spoke of her sons. She had every right to, they were fine apprentices who would soon become fine, fully-fledged warriors. It was something to be proud of indeed. Even Blackfang was relieved with how well Creekpaw was doing, as he was more than eager to welcome a new scout to their ranks.
He could not even begin to imagine Skinkstripe’s experience as a mother or how, according to her, time seemed to fly by as kits grew and aged. If he thought he was exhausted now, he could not dare to compare his exhaustion to the exhaustion of a parent. Despite the fact that he found the notion of parenthood intimidating, Blackfang often played with the idea of a family of his own, more frequently as he grew older. Though he was by no means old, Blackfang had almost begun to think that, since he hadn’t yet found a mate or fathered kits, fate simply didn’t have that in store for him.
The patchy tom looked at the queen with a soft smile, hoping the smile would throw off the disheartened look in his amber eyes. ”I’m not opposed to the idea,” Blackfang said with a tense chuckle. He sat silent for a few moments more before continuing. ”I’d be a liar if I claimed to have never thought of it; being a father, I mean. But the opportunity has not yet presented itself.”
Blackfang was unsure if the opportunity ever would present itself, or if his sole duty would remain his duty to his clan as a scout. He could live with that, he thought, if the Ocean willed it so. After all, there had been plenty of cats before him who had never had kits of their own, and surely there would be many more after him. If the only family he was ever destined to have was Hibiscusclan, then so be it.

Ripplepawwith snakestrike angelstrike
Ripplepaw smiled, mewing a shy 'thank you' as a response to the older warrior's praise. It wasn't everyday she'd be this good at hunting. In fact, before the revelation of Tigerpaw's father, she had been an amazing huntress. But, the tension had shaken her skills up a bit; she did find she was getting better, though.
"I mean... I do have a bit of a problem with pouncing too fast." A thoughtful look crossed her face. "That's why I miss prey sometimes."

Lemonpaw"You're good," he replied, a smile forming on his face as he watched Creekpaw dash forward with much energy. He followed suit, smiling widely. It had been a while since he had done this. Turtlestream was still recovering, after all, and she was in no shape to train him.
"We're almost there, ay?" His clear, sunlit gaze shifted to the ground before him.

JACARANDABLOOM traveling to gecko ravine / with boa patrol Jacarandabloom scanned the path ahead and the bushes to either side of the well-worn trail leading away from camp. Mintsong was right: the storm had done them no favors. The trail, slick with leftover moisture, was dotted with shallow puddles in some places and impassible in others due to mudslides. They might have to detour to reach the bottom of the ravine today. Her pale, mottled fur bristled with impatience.
She felt Mintsong pull up beside her and offer a quiet word of encouragement. Sort of. She really didn't need to hear the "stop overthinking things" part. She'd hoped - had been trying all morning -- to keep her nerves from showing. But of course Mintsong had noticed; of course her face had given away her every thought, again. She huffed, not bothering to hide her irritation. "Sure. Thanks." She was better at concealing her true emotions behind a permanently annoyed expression than a cool poker face.
The young scout dropped back a few paces, allowing the hunter to lead with her sharper nose and eyes; Mintsong was more likely to spot something before the rest of them. She hovered close to Mintsong's flank, ready to defend from behind or leap forward to take point if needed. Behind her, Sandheart brought up the rear of the party, dutifully keeping an eye on her temporary charge. Creekpaw was a brown-furred bundle of energy darting to and fro, weaving an erratic path through the jungle with Lemonpaw hot on his heels. "Knock it off, you two. There won't be a boa to fight if you scare it off with all the noise you're making," Jacarandabloom hissed. Maybe I shouldn't have invited them. I though it would be good experience for them, but if they're only going to be a liability... if anything happens to them on my patrol...
Cliffstorm interrupted her train of thought. "Yes," she said through clenched teeth. "Of course we'll see the boa. We can't kill it if it doesn't show." But the tom had a point. There were several options: they could try to set some kind of trap, lure the snake into the open, have one cat act as a distraction so the others could ambush it... but it all depended on what the patrol found when they got to the beast's lair. That was the one unknown factor upon which everything else hinged. "We'll figure it out when we get there. Surely it can't be far, now?" She aimed a questioning look at Mintsong.

algaewing with coconutfall, parrotcall, and saltwhisker
Algaewing stiffened at Coconutfall's words, and as she stood aside to let him head into the healer's den, her pose was stiff and icy. "Of course," she muttered, offended, a familiar angry heat beginning to simmer in her chest. "It's not Tigerpaw I have issues with."
She slipped inside, struggling to keep herself professional and not to go ranting right there and then. To do so, she aimed her next words, a little more sharper than they would be usually, at the first healers she saw.
"Parrotcall! Saltwhisker!" she meowed. "I hope I'm not interrupting?" Her eyes settled on Saltwhisker for a beat longer before turning back to Coconutfall. "We wanted to check in about the bug situation. I believe I told you about my experiment plans -" Her voice then dropped, to bring her fellow healers into the know. "I think it's the neem."
basiltail with yoko and cassia
Basiltail saw the thirst for blood, the hot anger in Cassia's eyes, and a pleased look crossed his face. "It's all relative, my dear Cassia," he purred, drawing closer. "Would you claim that you're not a cat, then, despite the fact? In relation to my clan, you are, in fact, a loner." He tilted his head, his tone so close to mocking it would grow clearer and clearer that Basiltail was purposefully provoking her. "What makes you a rogue in relation to a loner, of course, is if you'd use those feisty claws of yours..."
His eyes darted to Yoko. "No, no. It wouldn't be as fun if you were to run with your tail between your legs again, would it?"
There was something... malicious in the usually happy-go-lucky cat. A glint only his fellow warriors would see on a battlefield. His claws had been unsheathed this entire time, digging into the dirt. "I must be honest with you... it had been such a long, long while since I've bathed my teeth in blood. Oh, how I miss it. But I had no idea just how eager my claws had been until they got to rip and tear into a rogue's pelt..."
His stare bore into Cassia's. "No, please don't leave, my dear." He grinned sharp teeth. "This dance has just begun... and I'll be more than happy to offer you the first step..."
((after reading cassia's post i had to craft that foil for cassia, who swore never to hurt another for fun, of basiltail, who delights in the very thing))
mintsong with boa patrol
"I'll pick up the trail when I find it," Mintsong said crossly, any goodwill she may have had towards Jacarandabloom dwindling the further the group trekked through the mud. "Rush me when the ground is not drenched in rain."
She was clearly growing more and more annoyed with each squelching step through the Ravine, with the ever present reminder of her sister's presence just behind her, of the rambunctious apprentices far too excited and not serious enough, of the conversation going on right behind her. "For Ocean's sake, is any cat helping with their nose and not their mouth?"
Mintsong finally caught sight of something promising, and flicked her tail at it as she turned towards the group. "Look here! See that stone?" The rain had washed most of the blood away, burying it in mud, but the dark, reddish stain was still clear and present across the gray cracked face. "This could've been at the site of one of the fights, most likely the apprentices' recent one from yesterday. Sure, it could be blood from any sorry creature out here, but -"
She breathed in through her nose, and poked further into the undergrowth. It was faint, but still lingered in the freshly watered soil and damp roots. It must've been a lot of blood to still catch in Mintsong's maw after the rain, thick enough for the scent to remain. As she stepped forward, she noticed the finer details not quite erased by the storm - cracked and snapped twigs and branches, scrapes against the bark, as if a creature was clumsily smashing its way through.
With a silent signal of her tail, she followed the trail of the blood and destruction of a dying creature. Instinctively, her paws drew her to shadows and curves of trees, and she would hiss out the corner of her mouth for the other cats to pipe down.
It did not take long for them for the trail to end at a hollow log, cracked in half, lying face down in the mud. Its arch of an entrance was dark like the maw of a cave. Mintsong's eyes darted towards the others, and she nodded in confirmation: this must be the den of the boa.

Yoko // ☾—ivy。˚⊹♪:¨ · & thejadestorm- Yoko glared at Basiltail. Anger grew in his body the more the clan cat spoke. The tom didn't know he'd hold that much resentment for such a small cat. " I ran because I was outnumbered and smart! Unlike you, I don't love to get my pelt shredded for fun," Yoko sent Basiltail a daring look before continuing, " I actually value my life. Doesn't your fancy clan teach you anything else other than bloodshed?" The white tom turned to Cassia. He knew how angry she was becoming considering that her voice was shaking. The loner never saw Cassia truly angry, but he was starting to realize that he may witness it today. " Cassia," Yoko looked at her, trying to keep his voice low," This mangy cat is trying to obviously get you angry, should we just leave this lunatic or should we do something?" Yoko didn't want to jump into any rash decisions that may cause injury or death and he knew Cassia perhaps had a better idea than him. If she believed that they could take on this cat, then so be it, Yoko knew he would stand by her side and vice versa. All he hoped is that in the end, neither of them ended up badly hurt or dead.

SaltwhiskerSatlwhisker's heart dropped as Algaewing's gaze rested upon his gray and white shape; just for a moment longer then on Parrotcall's. His pelt felt hot as his eyes met hers; as soon as that happened he quickly looked away, flustered.
His gaze was set upon the mottled molly once more as she talked about the possible remedy for the horrid bugs. The blue eyed cat's stomach churned with a strange admiration as he watched the determination in her eyes; so much so that he almost forgot to actually listen to Algaewing's conclusion.
"Oh, um, that's great, really! We should, uh, we should get to work then!"
I have no idea what I'm talking about.

creekpaw and cliffstorm - - with boa patrol - aether, Tealraven, ☾—ivy。˚⊹♪:¨ ·, thejadestorm
Cliffstorm shrugged off Jacarandabloom’s distant comment carelessly. It didn’t matter what she said. Why would he care about his... ummm... second cousins? It’s didn’t matter what they thought of him. Stuck up Oracle children. Always so full of themselves. Don’t realised how I could have been an Oracle’s child too. Cliffstorm went on like this, silently ranting in his head until he firmly stopped himself. Stop it, you sound like Coastdawn.
“Suit yourself. I still say we need a different plan though.”
Creekpaw was still running around madly, almost tripping over two logs and a fallen tree. Not forgetting falling down into a pile of leaves and slipping on a pile of twigs. That made him slow down. Though thoughts continued to race at the same pace in his head.
Gulfpaw’s going to be so jealous. Skinkstripe will wish she could come. The other apprentices will wish they were scouts. We’ll find the boa and kill it. Squirrels are yummy. The last thought came as his tummy rumbles. Someone was hungry.
Mintsong’s silent gestures came as a surprise to both of them. It left their hearts beating furiously in excitement and anticipation. The only thing keeping Creekpaw from spinning wildly was the fear of being injured by a boa.

Cassia
"Let's dance, then," she meowed, unsheathing her claws. Instead of leaping forward she began to pace around the green eyed tom, her gaze sharp and her ears flattened. Her face held the expression of a predator; it resembled a wolf rather then a cat, in all her fury.
Her teeth bared, a warning growl rumbled deep in her throat. She did not want to hurt any cats, but when provoked, she'd be more then angry and ready to attack.

Lemonpaw
Lemonpaw's eyes widened with unease and excitement at the sight of the boa's nest. He took a step forward, sniffing the air quietly. It had a fresh, strong boa scent, mixed with lorikeet and mice. That must've been its' prey, he concluded, eyes glittering with curiousity.
His gaze shifted to Jacarandabloom, a questioning look on his face. He was partly annoyed to have to ask for permission, but he did so anyway.

SEABREEZE AND ISLANDMIST WITH - BLUEPOOL LOCATION - CAMP TAG - ☾—ivy。˚⊹♪:¨ ·
“Ah, well, what’s to stop me from having a heart-to-heart talk with my sister, hmm? Now, we just need some privacy. Seabreeze, how bout you go help Butterflypaw in the healers den?”
“Sorry, Islandmist but I, for one don’t want to miss out on a description of Ospreyfeather in a different manner besides weird and stuff. Sounds enticing. Especially if there’s a chance to tease nu brother. THAT makes it irresistible.”
“So, why don’t we get started?”
The two she-cats didn’t seemed to be put off by the fact they were talking in unison as they settled down on each side of Bluepool.

Skinkstripe »
Before Skinkstripe had had her first litter, she had never understood why some mollies would want to be stuck in the nursery for moons on end to raise kits. She had always known that they were the future of the Clan and that it was important for there to be kits in the Clan, but she had once thought that she herself would never be able to step away from her scout duties. But now she was on her second litter and her entire mindset over the whole thing had changed. She was glad she had the kits she had, glad that she had taken a step back from her duties to give the Clan new members, but she also realized that not every cat wanted that. Not every cat who starts out not wanting kits changes their mind on the matter. It was a choice left up entirely to the individual, and Skinkstripe would never push a cat into doing something they didn't want to do. The molly realized that not every cat started a family of their own, and that was more than okay. Having kits did not make or break the life of another.
Though a part of her felt a little bad for Blackfang. He had just expressed being fond of the idea of siring kits, though clearly the chance had not come to him. Raising a family was not written down fate for every cat, but it was somewhat saddening knowing that Blackfang liked the idea but never been given the option to do as much. "Perhaps it'll come to you," she mewed, shooting the black and white tom a soft yet determined look. "You're a fine tom. There's bound to be a molly out there just waiting for you. I mean, look at you!" Skinkstripe leaned over to nudge him playfully, the softness in her features switching over to a tease. "You're not bad on the eyes, you're muscular, strong, capable, the list could go on." What she was saying was truthful on her part, all of these qualities were things she could see in the tom, but there was clear jest in her tone as well. This was not meant to be a serious tangent, or at least it wasn't something that was supposed to be completely taken to heart. Skinkstripe wasn't offering advice or pointers, she was simply stating what she thought to be fact but with a good nature and friendly atmosphere - and to maybe fluster Blackfang a little bit again.
Coconutfall »
Instantly he realized he had made a mistake.
Coconutfall's heart dropped into his paws the moment he noticed Algaewing's posture turn stiff. Her next words to him were icy, and it took everything in him to not lower his head and droop his tail. An apology settled right on the tip of his tongue, but there it remained, unspoken as his daughter went inside the healers' den and called out to the two healers that were nearby. The oracle stood outside a moment longer, needing to gather himself. He had hoped to make amends with Algaewing and the rest of his first litter, but he supposed one step forward was two steps back. It hurt, it really did, but he was also aware that what he had done hurt his kits as well. He just wished they would give him a chance to explain so that maybe they could understand him and Sandheart. It was selfish to think like that, he knew, but even still, he wanted things to be somewhat okay between them all.
Blinking away the stinging sensation in his eyes, Coconutfall finally made his way into the healers' den, movements slow and sluggish as if his paws were made of stone. He stood a few steps away from Algaewing and remained silent, only acknowledging Parrotcall and Saltwhisker with a nod.

PARROTCALL healers' den / with saltwhisker, algaewing, & coconutfall
"A fever?" Parrotcall echoed. "And you haven't had any other symptoms? No nausea, no muscle aches, no loss of appetite?" It had been warm and humid lately, but no more than was typical for the tropical island they called home. Was Saltwhisker suffering from a new mystery illness? Did he need to be quarantined? The colorpoint stopped pacing and narrowed his eyes at the other tom. If he had a fever, he should be resting, not obsessing over the organization of the herb storage.
"Nonsense! There's always a remedy!" Parrotcall declared theatrically, puffing out his chest. He would get to the bottom of this puzzle, he would! "We'l! just have to-- oh, good morning, Algaewing!" He smiled and dipped his head in greeting to the other healer. Right behind her was a familiar brown tabby coat. "Coconutfall." He dipped his head to the Oracle as well, still smiling, but there was less warmth in his tone. He turned just in time to see Algaewing and Saltwhisker exchange a look. It was a bit too long to be friendly. Parrotcall again got the sense that the answer to Saltwhisker's woe was right on the tip of his tongue. Hmm.
He leaned forward when the molly dropped her voice conspiratorially. "Ah, your experiment! Yes, I do recall. You think you've stumbled upon something?" His eyes widened in surprise and confusion at her theory. "The... neem?" How could she have discovered it was neem? She hadn't taken any recently, had she? He shared a sidelong glance with Saltwhisker, wondering if the other healer felt as puzzled as he was.
JACARANDABLOOM gecko ravine / with boa patrol Jacarandabloom's cheeks warmed at Mintsong's chiding. The scout had never been particularly gifted at the scouting bit of her job - an irony that was not lost on her. Though being alert and watchful had been as crucial to her training as a hunter's, she had always excelled at the physical aspects instead. A green hunter apprentice would have a better shot at picking up the snake's tracks than she. Jacarandabloom was only here to fight.
She leaned forward to get a better look at the stone Mintsong indicated. Sure enough, had Jacarandabloom been here on her own, she would have missed it. At first glance there was nothing remarkable about the stone; it didn't look too different from any other rock in the sprawling, overgrown jungle. Upon closer inspection, however, a dark stain across the smooth grey surface was visible. It could have been mistaken for a wet patch that hadn't yet dried. How had Mintsong noticed it from so far away?
"Good find," said Jacarandabloom, choosing to ignore Cliffstorm's comment. She could feel her shoulders tensing as he questioned her plan, questioned her leadership. She bit back a sharp retort: I didn't ask what you thought, did I? As she followed Mintsong along the path of destruction, more and more evidence of the boa appeared. Something big had smashed its way through here recently. The trail ended at a cracked, hollow log. Even Jacarandabloom could smell it now, could see tiny white bones scattered around the gaping maw of the log. There was no mistaking it: this was undeniably a creature's lair.
Steeling herself with a breath, Jacarandabloom turned to face her patrol. "The boa doesn't appear to be here right now," she whispered. "This could be our only chance to infiltrate its nest and get rid of its eggs. Only then will we be rid of this menace for good." She glanced at the log. The air around it was unnaturally still and too quiet for comfort; it made her fur prickle with unease. Every one of her instincts screamed against going anywhere near it. "The boa might still be lurking nearby, waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike," She continued in a low voice. "Destroying its eggs will likely attract its attention -- which is what we want -- so we'll have be quick about this. Two of us should stay out here and stand guard, and whoever isn't going in needs to get in position and be ready to attack as soon as that thing rears its ugly head. Now..." she surveyed the faces before her. "Who will be going into the nest?"

KIWIPAW camp / with eelnose
Kiwipaw bounced to his paws, beaming. "Exactly! I don't really have anything to do right now, anyway." Other than sit around camp and worry about his friend, that is. He knew Whitepaw was in good paws, but with nothing else to occupy his thoughts, all he could do was fret over her recovery. He'd already checked on her twice since the boa attack, nervously eyeing her injury for any sign of infection.
Beyond that, the little brown cat was a sensitive soul, and all the hurt feelings and suspicion and anger in the Clan was starting to wear on him. He always seemed to feel everything too much, and while it made him a precocious healer, it could be as harmful to his mental health as it was helpful to his training. Kiwipaw sighed. "'It'll be nice to get out of camp for a little while. This'll be a much better use of my time than... well, whatever. So, where do you wanna go?" He met Eelnose's smile with a tilted head and bright green eyes. "I was thinking... maybe the Calm Falls?" He scuffed a paw through the grass, worried he sounded too demanding. "Unless you were thinking of somewhere else, which is totally fine, too."
STORMSURF camp / with redwave
Stormsurf observed Redwave with a faintly amused expression. So quick to anger, he was, leaping to conclusions and hurling careless accusations. Yet there was something about the passion in his eyes and the heat in his meow that was... catching. Especially after overhearing his plan. It made Stormsurf so curious he could hardly stand it. He disliked not knowing things. Though the two toms had grown up together, the healer had paid the ambitious hunter apprentice no more attention than any of the others their age. Perhaps he should've.
"Enough," he replied vaguely with a disinterested flick of his tail. He kept his voice level and calm. It was too soon to tell if he should support Redwave, but he certainly did not want to make an enemy of the Oracle's slighted son. "Enough to make me wonder what you're capable of. Enough to realize that those wise old windbags can't see potential when it's right in front of them." He snorted. "Maybe they should get their eyes checked."
Stormsurf continued to deliberate over the seabird, turning it on its side and prodding it from different angles, inspecting it for any sign of spoilage. He would eat nothing less than the finest catch. He looked askance at the red-furred warrior to his left. His mouth carried on without checking in with his brain first: "You don't just want to replace Coconutfall, do you?" As soon as the words left his lips he regretted it. He was pretty sure he was right, but still. Did I just say something very, very stupid?

Blackfang with: Skinkstripe Feathertalon at Camp
Blackfang hid a blush underneath his shy smile, breaking eye contact with Skinkstripe in a bashful manner. The molly had succeeded in making him flush, but she had also managed to cheer him up, though it was not outwardly apparent due to Blackfang’s reaction. It was a rare occurrence for the scout to receive compliments about anything other than his prowess as a scout, so it was a pleasant surprise. Turning back to face the ruddy queen, Blackfang hoped any notion of his face being flushed had subsided by now. ”I did not think you were one for flattery, Skinkstripe,” The tom said with a chuckle, returning a playful nudge with the tip of his tail. Even if he never took a mate for himself, Blackfang imagined he could be perfectly content with a quality friendship with his peers.
Though Blackfang still wondered if there was someone out there for him, as Skinkstripe claimed there was. He had never really paid too much attention to the idea of soulmates, but there was still some curiosity towards the legitimacy of the concept. "I suppose it depends on what the Ocean has in store for me," He said, reminding himself of Coconutfall's predicament. The Ocean had proclaimed Vanillabloom to be the Oracle's chosen mate, yet Coconutfall fell in love with someone else. Blackfang could not bring himself to believe that the Ocean had chosen wrong, but he could not help but wonder how love could cause so much trouble. "Perhaps it's best that I focus my attention on serving the clan at the moment." Eelnose with: Kiwipaw Tealraven at Camp
Seeing his brother rise enthusiastically, Eelnose rose to a stand as well. A breath of fresh air and change of scenery would be good for the both of them, Eelnose figured, but especially so for Kiwipaw. The hunter could only imagine what training the healer apprentice was tasked with, and he was sure the weight on the younger tom's shoulders was even heavier now with the injuries dealt by the boa. Eelnose shrunk at the thought of what stress Kiwipaw must be under, but it also filled him with a staunch respect for his younger brother. Becoming a healer was quite admirable, Eelnose could never imagine undertaking the responsibilities that Kiwipaw does everyday.
Giving a nod of approval to Kiwipaw's suggested location, the brown tabby found it to be a fitting choice. "Calm Falls is perfect. Wherever you'd like to go, I'll gladly follow," He said, offering his brother a comforting smile. Eelnose remained still, waiting for Kiwipaw to be the one to initiate their departure.

Redwave »
This was it. This was the support Redwave had been craving. Here was another cat willing to listen to him, somebody that seemed genuinely interested in what he had to say. Redwave had never expected Stormsurf of all cats to sit down and eagerly listen, but this was a possible ally all the same.
A shudder ran through him that left every fur on his pelt tingling. The hunter soaked in the praise he was receiving, taking it all in like a plant would with sunlight. He had received approval from the counselors on some things, but he had yet to explain himself to Stormsurf directly and already the other tom was telling him that he had potential. Sure, Stormsurf had likely heard everything Redwave had said to the elderly felines, but this rush of pride tingled throughout him, sparking something new that Redwave had never felt before.
It was almost enough to make him slip up and tell Stormsurf his intentions with Coconutfall, but before a word could be spoken he caught himself. Clearing his throat he shook the almost accident off, eyeing the tomcat carefully. No matter how much approval he was receiving right now he knew it was best to not give too much away just yet. Who was to say Stormsurf wasn’t just some spy who would report back to Coconutfall with this information? Even still he decided to continue this interaction and give an answer. ”I want to see him gone,” he mewed, keeping his answer vague enough that it could be taken multiple ways. Gone as the oracle, gone from the Clan, gone from everything… Redwave had an end goal that would rid the Clan of Coconutfall, but what he had in mind would only be known to him for the time being.
Skinkstripe »
Skinkstripe’s whiskers twitched with amusement. Again she had managed to ruffle Blackfang’s feathers, and again she found herself snickering under her breath. ”Ah, not usually,” she admitted with a laugh mingling into her voice. It was true that the ruddy molly rarely gave out praise and rarer still for her to speak flattery, but she couldn’t help but tease her fellow scout for the second time. Fortunately for him, though, she was going to end it there. For all the joy she was getting out of it flustering him a third time would be excessive and bordering on disrespectful. Skinkstripe wasn’t here to make him actively uncomfortable around her, she appreciated his presence and saw him as a friend that she didn’t want to chase away. ”I just couldn’t help myself. Luckily, though, I’m done. You don't have to worry about it anymore.” Sincerity rang in her words. Blackfang truly had nothing more to worry about from her.
While her teasing was over, the topic remained. Skinkstripe curled her tail around her paws as she listened to the tomcat, nodding along as he spoke. She herself had never ran into the problem of wondering if she would find anybody to settle down with. Ever since she had been an apprentice she had been close with Whalespirit, always nagging him to go and do something with her or sneaking into the healers’ den to see what he was learning about that day. It had been no surprise when the two ended up as mates, but it had been somewhat of a surprise when Skinkstripe had announced to the Clan that she was expecting kits her first time around. The ticked tabby had always been dedicated to her scouting career and had never expressed much yearning for a family, but the Ocean had other plans for her, and now she wouldn’t change that for the world; she knew she was lucky to have had a fine and healthy litter once, even more so that she had a fine and healthy litter a second time.
She did not linger on these thoughts for long, though. Her tail-tip gave a twitch, a simple gesture yet it spoke of her tension at the thoughts of the turmoil going through the Clan. Focusing on that rather than settling down and starting a family wasn’t a bad idea. ”If I were honest I don’t think I’d be happy to bring kits into the current situations. I hate that my three will have to grow up with all this going on, but I’m glad they were at least born before it all started,” Skinkstripe murmured, voicing her thoughts aloud to Blackfang. Had she not had her second litter when she did then Skinkstripe more than likely wouldn’t have wanted any more kits with everything going on. The idea of bringing innocent lives into this mess didn’t sit right with her, but she had given birth to her latest three a good moon or so before Coconutfall’s betrayal had come to light and before there was a bug-infested python slithering around the territory. Her kits would still have to deal with some of the aftermath to all this, but at least they had a start to the world before it had been riddled with uncertainty.

SaltwhiskerSaltwhisker blinked, his thoughts being flooded by what Parrotcall had said. He's right, there is a remedy to everything. But I don't think I know the remedy for my illness yet... I hope some bayberry can solve it.
His gaze snapped to Algaewing's mottled shape. He barely contained himself from sighing in awe as he watched her; her fur seemed to be shining with the glisten of a thousand sun rays, and she herself was like the sun- bright, beautiful, yet undoubetdly too hot headed sometimes. Still, he felt he could rest his gaze just on her one claw for moons, and that, even then, he'd find something new on it with every passing moment. However, despite his wish, he quickly grew flustered, looking away as he became aware of the cats surrounding him. Coconutfall probably wouldn't like seeing me staring at his daughter, he pondered, his pelt as itchy as ever. Stupid mites.

Lemonpaw
The apprentice gazed at Jacarandabloom, a pleading look in his clear yellow eyes. "I'd like to go," he whispered, his voice quiet and ears twisting at every sound as he spoke.
He sniffed the air, inhaling many scents. Among them was the stale smell of a boa, the creature he, ironically, terribly feared. However, he wanted to find it and kill it with his own jaws; especially because of that one fear.

Bluepool
Bluepool rolled her eyes, her blue shape holding the same expression her mother did when she was annoyed. "He's too good for this Clan," she muttered, before shifting her gaze back to the two cats before her. Okay Bluepool. Islandmist is your sister and you have to make a good impression on his sister. Just do this.
"Ospreyfeather's an amazing cat. He's kind, smart and quite calm (well, not really, nevermind). I also don't get why everyone says he's 'weird'..."
Unknowingly, Bluepool forgot she and Ospreyfeather are very similar in terms of socializing; both are awfully awkward overthinkers with a tendence to be impulsive- yet she found it just brought them closer.
