Tigerpaw »
A purr vibrated against Tigerpaw's throat at Risingbrook's praise. His smile grew wider. For once he felt useful, like he was actually doing something to contribute to the Clan. Moping about and waiting for Coconutfall to do anything with him had gone on for too long. Perhaps Tigerpaw just needed to take training into his own paws, find cats in the Clan that would be willing to teach him a lesson or two throughout the day. Maybe by the time he was old enough to be given a full Clan name he'd have enough knowledge in every rank to be useful to the entire Clan. He'd know how to be a hunter, a scout, and a healer. Hopefully that would be enough to make it as the next oracle.
These thoughts occupied him as he took nearby grasses and ferns to patch up the holes in the den. Like with the stick his work took almost half as long as it took Risingbrook, but he was starting to get the hang of it, getting a little bit faster with each weave. He paused briefly in his work, shrugging in response to Risingbrook's question. "I'm not entirely sure. I might see if Coconutfall is ready to train me." He fell silent after the words slipped from his tongue. He doubted his father would come out of his den any time soon. Maybe, instead, he'd go off and see if Whitepaw was still in camp, though Tigerpaw was sure she'd be off with her mentor on some scouting training. Perhaps his mother would be around for him to find company in. Though, like with his sister, she was perhaps outside of camp on some scouting mission. Tigerpaw sighed. Being the neophyte under an oracle that didn't want to do anything was hard.

Archwhisker
With - [ Coconutfall ]
Location - [ Camp ]
Never in his life had anyone been so interested in speaking with Archwhisker. For the awkward tom, it was rather difficult to navigate. His clanmates yearned to gossip and complain and as the brother to the current hot-topic of the conversation, Archwhisker was apparently supposed to quench their desires for answers. Quickly they would find that Archwhisker did not have answers; nor did he fancy entertaining the topic. This was not due to shame nor disgust, it was due to his own anti-social tendencies. Oracle or no oracle - Archwhisker did not care who his brother chose to love. A self deprecating snort sounded as Archwhisker considered that at least one of them should have a mate they love and it certainly wasn't him.
The unassuming tabby tom had recently returned from a scouting trip by the ocean and he could feel the salt granules within the strands of his coat as he trekked across the camp. Somewhere along the way he thought he heard the chirp of Rookfall calling him over yet Archwhisker pretended he did not hear as he padded. He had a destination in mind.
"Coconutfall," the tabby tom drawled with his gravelly voice, pushing his way into the oracle's den without waiting for invitation. Archwhisker blinked at the sullen form his littermate and stepped towards him, giving him a sniff over his forward, neck, body, and tail. "You don't smell sick; why are you so sick-looking?" He raised a brow quizzically. "I don't understand why everyone is causing such a fuss," he quietly mumbled.
Sandheart
With - [ Vanillabloom ]
Location - [ Nursery ]
Vanillabloom's questioning call made Sandheart stiffen, wincing briefly as she expected to faced with a barrage of fury. Yet, how could she believe that to be so? Never had the white molly been explosive and unreasonable. Sandheart let out a shaky breath - fearful - as she pushed past the entrance to the den. Her eyes watched her paws as they moved from the sandy, grassy path of the camp to the feather-lined floor of the nursery. Just beside the entrance, she sat and curled her thin tail over her toes, struggling to decide what words she wanted to speak first. What does one say to a cat whose trust they've betrayed? "Sorry, it was an accident?" - This was no accident. "Sorry, I just don't care about you" - that wasn't true! Sandheart flexed her claws into the ground, pawing anxiously whilst the thoughts collided inside her skull.
Although it felts like mere heartbeats to the ginger molly, a minute or two had passed since she'd entered the den. Her brows furrowed thoughtfully and her ears flicked nervously, her green gaze still avoiding the white queen affront her. Finally... she spoke.
"I wish I didn't hurt you. And Redwave. And Lilypool. And Algeawing." Slowly, she dared steal a glance of Vanillabloom's mismatched gaze, "I can't justify my actions to you... but I wish things were different." Her voice was soft and tentative, fearful of saying the wrong thing. She hoped that she best expressed her feelings: she wasn't sorry to love Coconutfall, nor was she sorry to be the mother to her beloved children... but she was sorry for the circumstances that encircled the events.

Rookfall
With - [ Ospreyfeather, Cliffstorm ]
Location - [ Near Calm Falls]
Rookfall watched as Archwhisker trotted right past despite the black toms attempt to converse. His maw slightly ajar, Rookfall found himself chuckling sheepishly to himself. At least Archwhisker hadn't changed despite the turmoil that had swept over the clan like the giant waves mentioned in kit-stories. Rookfall held an unpopular opinion, he'd found, amongst his clanmates. Perhaps it was due to his emotional and empathetic nature, but he quickly determined that Coconutfall and Sandheart should be able to love each other if they wanted. He felt for Coconutfall's family - all members of it - given the circumstances. He closed his eyes, thinking for a moment, that just the same as how a wave crashes onto the sand, the situation will soon dissipate and the wave will roll back to the ocean.
Standing, Rookfall determined that he would go and make better use of himself. As a scout he often liked to trek through the territory in his free time in order to determine if there was anything suspicious. He moved expertly through the territory, his bulky frame well-adjusted to each fallen log, dip in the earth, and each snakes den. It wasn't long before his usual path brought him to the Calm Falls, a place he loved dearly. Padding alongside the stream, it wasn't long until heard the familiar voices of Ospreyfeather and Cliffstorm. He didn't catch much of their conversation, as he approached, he called out. "Hi guys!" His voice carried it's usual cheerful tone. "How's the prey running?"

Coconutfall »
As soon as he heard some cat speak his name, Coconutfall opened his jaws, preparing himself to tell the other feline to leave. He didn’t want anything to do with anybody. Becoming a recluse was what he was doing, and he flinched at the thought of company. What he had done was irreversible. He couldn’t just go back in time and fix the mistakes he had made; he wished he had never stood atop the Fallen Snake and repeated the words the Ocean had told him, yet he had been compelled to do so, almost as if the Ocean itself had forced its way into his body and spoke its words through him. Had it just been him then his secret would have never been spoken of in a public manner, it would have just been the knowledge of him and Sandheart, yet now the whole Clan knew, and Coconutfall was at a lost for what to do. He was sure most of the Clan hated him. He had no idea on how to make them accept him again, and a part of him even wondered if he wanted that.
Of course, he had no time to really dive into his thoughts as the cat who had spoken his name pushed inside his den. Coconutfall’s ears perked forward as he noticed the familiar figure of his littermate Archwhisker. A tight sigh escaped him. At least it was his littermate and not one of the cats he had greatly disappointed. Had it been some cat like Redwave the oracle was sure he’d have no idea how to respond. He wouldn’t have minded had it been Sandheart peeking her way inside, but he’d take his littermate over many other cats right now. It could have been worse.
Again he sighed as his brother examined him, sniffing his body over as if he were making sure Coconutfall was alive and not some maggot-riddled piece of decaying prey. As stiffly as an elder the brown tabby tom pushed himself up into a sitting position. He looked dully at Archwhisker, amber-green eyes sorrowful. ”You know what happened, Archwhisker,” he muttered with a shake of his head. There was no reason to explain everything that had happened. Archwhisker knew what Coconutfall had done. The whole Clan knew what their oracle had done. ”I can’t show my face to them anymore. It was selfish of me trying to be happy, but…” He trailed off. For so long Coconutfall had tried to follow the Ocean’s wishes, and while he had loved Vanillabloom and their kits, it was different than what he felt with Sandheart. They had always been close, and when they had been apprentices Coconutfall had been so sure that they were meant to be together, but then the Ocean had other plans. He tried to live his life without her, but he eventually caved and sought the ginger molly out, finding comfort and familiarity in her presence. He couldn’t help but love her, but that love had shaken the Clan to its very core and Coconutfall had no idea how he could repair the damage. Vanillabloom »
In an instant Vanillabloom had her mix-matched gaze resting upon Sandheart. The ginger molly looked tired, but it wasn’t a weariness that resided in her body, it was more so a weariness that lived within her soul. There was a tension deep within the scout that Vanillabloom was not accustomed to seeing. Sandheart was friendly, the sort of cat that could relax around just about any cat and find a friend in them. She was as tough as any scout, yet here she stood in the nursery, looking just about as fretful as prey under the gaze of a predator. Vanillabloom’s heart ached at the sight of the other female. This mess had to be as hard on her as it was for Vanillabloom herself. She hated seeing a once proud feline crumbling in on herself.
The white molly felt betrayed, there was no denying that, but what more could she do than allow two cats she cared deeply for to experience their own happiness in love? She faulted neither of them, perhaps her biggest source of sorrow came from wanting to have known this was happening before it had been announced to the entire Clan. Perhaps some of the downfall could have been avoided if she had been allowed to help. In the moons she had spent being Coconutfall’s mate, she had noticed how he acted when around Sandheart. The brief moments she had noticed between them had left her wondering what could have been had the Ocean not stepped in, yet Vanillabloom had always felt secure in her relationship with the oracle, though now she knew that security had been built upon shaky ground that she had not been perceptive enough to notice. While she had been unable to notice that, she had been aware of her former mate’s feelings toward Sandheart, how the two had been close during their training and up until Palmshade, the oracle before Coconutfall, had announced that the Ocean had chosen her son’s mate. It had been an honor for the Ocean to see some sort of worth within her, and gladly did Vanillabloom take up the role as the Ocean’s Chosen. She had also trained alongside Coconutfall and Sandheart, and while she had never been in their circle of close friends, she had served alongside them as a ‘paw, finding connections with the two even before fate had chosen them to become close.
”As do I,” she responded in an attempt to push her thoughts away. ”I know you meant no harm. You’re not a cat who holds malice in her heart.” During their time together in the nursery Vanillabloom had learned a lot about Sandheart. They had learned a lot about each other, and for what it was worth, Vanillabloom knew that, no matter what happened, Sandheart was not a vicious cat. There was no way the scout could harbor ill intent inside, it just wasn’t in Sandheart’s nature.

Archwhisker
With - [ Coconutfall ]
Location - [ Camp ]
"That's the problem!" Archwhisker sighed, "You should be happy." The conviction in the tabby's tone would have convinced most others; though nothing looked like it would ever convince Coconutfall ever again. Frankly, it was no secret that Archwhisker had been quite ambivalent regarding the Ocean. That within it self was quite the controvery; the son of an Oracle not truly respecting the Ocean? Thankfully, Coconutfall was burdened with the responsibility of being oracle instead of himself. "I don't care what some water thinks, or what the clan thinks; I've seen you love Sandheart since the moment any of us could understand what love is. Why can she love you but you can't love her?" There was no softness or empathy to his tone - that was not how Archwhisker operated. Instead his voice of unwavering with the strength of his opinion. Unlike Coconutfall, Archwhisker always knew precisely what he wanted and he would do as he pleased whether others minded or not.
"I'm not sure if you've spoken to him since the meeting," he lowered his head to meet Coconutfall's eyes, "but Tigerpaw has been pacing the front of your den any time he has a spare minute in camp." His amber eyes hardened, "Wrongdoing or no, it's your responsibility to train him. If you did care so much about what others think, you probably shouldn't be the Oracle who died of worry and left his successor with no experience. Vanillabloom may have been deemed your mate, but your 'illegitimate' son is the one chosen to be Oracle next." As harsh as his words may be, Archwhisker made no effort to sugar-coat them.
Sandheart
With - [ Vanillabloom ]
Location - [ Nursery ]
Staring at her blue and green gaze, Sandheart felt her heart spill out with emotion. Momentarily her paws worked on the earth, then in a heartbeat she was brushing her cheek against the milky white fur of Vanillabloom's cheek. Perhaps it was too soon for such an act... but no one had looked at Sandheart with such sadness and understanding that Vanillabloom had just now. No sign of disgust or loathing. Obviously, even Vanillabloom didn't have a positive countenance, yet she still looked at Sandheart like she was a clanmate. Which is all Sandheart could ask. Pulling back from the short display, Sandheart nodded her head.
"I never thought ill of you - ever. I was just being selfish. I was only thinking of myself." The earnest expression in her eyes would leave no trace of doubt. Sandheart pulled back further, returning to her seated position and she nervously shuffled her paws as she added, "I-if you ever need anything, you can ask anything of me."
Sandheart was unsure of the extend of her welcome. Obviously it was now confirmed that Vanillabloom didn't have ill feelings towards her, however she did not want to overstay. Undoubtedly Vanillabloom had much processing to do, like her children and even Sandheart's children did, and Sandheart wanted to give them space to do so.

i realised no one replied about swiftsplash’s injury, so i’m gonna do one again)
Seabreeze - about Swiftsplash and Redwave
Seabreeze rushed in to the healer den, head spinning with remedies. What did she have to do? Snake bites... snake bites... Was it aloe vera? She looked up at the cool gel. No, it wasn’t. Aloe vera was for soothing. How was she supposed to heal Swiftsplash? She half wanted to stop and wait for Algaewing or Lilypool to come back. But Swiftsplash needed urgent help. And only she could give that help.
Risingbrook - with Tigerpaw (briefly) and then Hootpaw, Drizzlefur and Turtlestream
After Risingbrook and Tigerpaw finishes patching the scout den, Risingbrook decided to do some hunting. Silently wishing he could hunt with Tigerpaw - he considered him a friend now - he waved good bye and quickly scampered over to where Turtlestream, Drizzlefur and Hootpaw were talking. “Do you want to go hunting?”
Ospreyfeather and Cliffstorm - with Rookfall
“Prey’s really good!” replied Cliffstorm, smiling at Rookfall. “Where are you going?” After saying this, Cliffstorm jumped as a flutter of wings from a fruit dove startled her. Ospreyfeather emerged from the water, annoyed. “Could you two do your blabbering elsewhere? You’ll have scared every single piece of prey for miles around.”

Coconutfall »
Coconutfall tensed under his brother’s words. ”That’s not how it works for oracles.” He knew his brother could never truly understand that. It was Coconutfall, not Archwhisker, that the Ocean had chosen all those seasons ago. Coconutfall had been the one taken under their mother’s wing as she trained him to become the next oracle. He had been taught lessons that no other cat in the Clan would ever know or understand, except for Tigerpaw, if Coconutfall ever found it within himself to get up and train the young tom. ”The Ocean picks the cat who would make the best pairing for the oracle. For me it chose Vanillabloom.” Every cat knew that. The water had spoken to Palmshade, telling her that the white molly was to mother the kit that would become the next oracle. Something about her was special, special enough that the Ocean had been drawn to her, and yet…yet…
There had always been Sandheart. Ever since he could remember Coconutfall had followed the ginger tabby around, always curious to know what she had been up to, always wondering what sort of thoughts lived in her head. He had found a friend in her from the start despite his anxious habits that he had carried with him since his nursery days. For him she had been his rock, the stability that he had needed. Where he was awkward and nervous around others she was vibrant and bold, willing to help push him to make friends outside of her and his brother. She was strong where he was weak. It had always been that way. Sandheart had completed him, made up for his weaknesses, and he hoped that he had done the same for her. As he grew older he had wished to be with her, and she must have shared the same dream; while the Clan had curled up for the night they had stayed awake, whispering to one another about where their lives would take them. They had been close from the start, only to be driven apart because of what the ancestors wanted. But for as much as Coconutfall had tried to stay true to the Clan’s tradition, he found himself falling right back to Sandheart. She was everything he wanted, so why did it have to be so hard? They were officially mates now, they even had a litter together, but it had been done in secret, and now that the secret was out, everything was falling apart. Why couldn’t he be with the cat that made him happy? All he wanted was to be with the one cat that made him feel as light as air.
Archwhisker was bringing up valid points, but deep down Coconutfall knew that his brother could never truly understand why this mistake was as grave as it was. Archwhisker had not been chosen as the next leader, he had never been given the special training that all oracles went through from the moment they were picked. He wanted to agree with his brother, desperately he did, but it was so much easier said than done.
It wasn’t until Archwhisker brought up Tigerpaw that emotion sparked back inside Coconutfall. His gaze widened, the fur along his spine ruffling with unease. ”...He has?” Guilt pooled deeply inside the tabby’s chest. He loved his son, just as he loved his daughter, but he simply couldn’t bring himself to face his Clan, and that included Tigerpaw. It was odd to him that the Ocean had picked one of his kits with Sandheart to take over as the next leader, but why had it picked Vanillabloom as his mate? ”What do you think that means?” He questioned, looking at his brother in hope that Archwhisker could shed some light to this darkness. ”The Ocean picked Vanillabloom for me, yet it chose Tigerpaw as my successor. It makes no sense…”
Vanillabloom »
While Vanillabloom did not expect violence from Sandheart, the last thing she expected was such a friendly gesture. Surprise sparked underneath her skin, prickling at her pelt, but she accepted Sandheart’s gesture all the same. Once her surprise had subdued she merely fell into the motion, offering a purr that could explain more than any words could. Despite it all she still viewed Sandheart as a friend. The last thing she wanted was to lose another cat to this mess.
With the display now over, Vanillabloom resumed her seat, tail curling neatly around her paws as she acknowledged the scout she had once shared a den with. ”Love isn’t selfish. You would only hurt yourself if you chose not to follow your heart. You and Coconutfall have been fond of each other for a long time, not even I could ignore that. Though…” She looked away for a moment, eyes lingering on the nursery wall. ”I do wish I had known about all this sooner.” Perhaps that was a lot for her to ask, but if all this had to happen, if there was no way to stop this from happening, that’s all Vanillabloom would have changed. To have known from the start would have helped ease her into all this a bit more, she felt sure of that.
While she wished she had known about this sooner, she realized it still would have been hard. There was no easy route to take when the cat she had started a family with longed to be with another. Vanillabloom couldn’t help but wonder if maybe there was some other cat out there she was meant to be with, just like Coconutfall was meant to be with Sandheart despite what the Ocean said. It would take time to fully get over her ex-mate and find solace within another, but she did dare to hope that she could find love again in somebody else.
Quickly she redirected her thoughts. It felt selfish of her right now to be thinking of such things. Her attention turned back to Sandheart. ”I appreciate that, I do. And the same goes to you. I’m here if you need a shoulder to lean on.” It was an open invitation for now and for the future. If Sandheart had more on her mind, then Vanillabloom was open to listening, but if the scout felt the need to leave, then Vanillabloom was not going to stop her. Sandheart was suffering just as much as Vanillabloom was, and only Sandheart knew what exactly she needed right now.

Tigerpaw »
with open
If Tigerpaw had it his way he would have stayed with Risingbrook for the rest of the day. It had been fun, hanging out with the tomcat and learning how to patch up dens. It had also been a rather nice distraction from everything going on, even if he had bouts where those thoughts plagued his mind and bubbled up to the surface. Maybe later he could really thank Risingbrook for the help. He wasn’t sure what he’d do, but he wanted to do something. Maybe he could figure out where Risingbrook’s nest was in the hunters’ den and lay down some really soft feathers for him to sleep in.
Solemnly he watched Risingbrook leave. He knew the hunter had more important duties to attend to, but Tigerpaw did silently wish he could go with him if he couldn’t stay in camp all day. The young apprentice sighed. He looked over his shoulder back toward the oracle’s den, hoping for any sign of Coconutfall. But, as per usual, there was nothing, and once again Tigerpaw was left alone to his own thoughts.

Swiftsplash Swiftsplash blinked a few times before opening his eyes. Confusion quickly made its way into his mind, for he didn't remember anything. What happened, and why does his leg hurt so badly?
He unhinged his jaws only to be met with the familiar scents of his Clanmates, the fresh smell of herbs, and blood. The white tom narrowed his eyes at his front leg; it was covered in blisters, blood and red marks where he had apparently been bitten by something. Once he looked up he was met with a blue shape hurriedly organizing plants. He cursed under his breath as his wound began to hurt.
He sunk his body further back into the leafy nest, and desperately tried to remember what had happened. All he could recall was the pain, and Redwave tugging on the scruff of his neck. Had a snake caused this, he wondered, remembering the fatal bite a boa had inflicted on a bird when he was an apprentice, as he, ofcourse, stopped to examine the bird once the predator left. He mentally clawed himself - how could a boa do such damage to him? Had he stepped on it? He was ashamed of his carelessnes, because he could of easily became that boa's lunch.
Redwave's a much more skilled cat then I initially would've thought, he reckoned. I didn't know he had both the mental and physical strength to drag me back here, not that I doubted him anyways, he quickly corrected.
He hissed in pain, and shot his eyes open to see the bite in a worse condition then ever. He would've called out for help, but he barely sustained himself not to yowl. He trusted the healers and their abilities, and he wanted to let Seabreeze do the job at her own pace, and, albeit it may be more painful, he reckoned she would lose herself in a panic if he tried to alert her. She seemed like a overthinking and responsible cat to Swiftsplash.

Ripplepaw
p.s. sorry for discontinuing the basil and ripple interaction. just really wanted to make these two have some sort of conversation because i tohught it would be fun!!!
After dropping off her freshkill at the pile, she began trotting around camp and checking how everyone was doing. It was a habit of hers to do this, and she thoroughly enjoyed it.
As she passed the Oracle's den, she noticed Tigerpaw hesitantly lingering around it. She frowned, and then hesitated - would she bother him?
She gathered all her mental courage and approached the tabby tom, "Hi, Tigerpaw. You seem worried, are you okay?"
She wanted to claw her own face off. Did she really just say that? What if it was ignorant? Did she seem like she was doing it out of pity? Did it sound presentable? She reckoned these past few moons were hard for the tom, and he seemed plagued by his thoughts, so what if she was just making it worse? Was she overthinking, or was this all within reason? Was she annoying him?
Her paws wobbled lightly, but she forced herself to stand stiffly and appear stable. Her ears flicked nervously, and she hoped he couldn't sense how anxious she felt. The whole mate situation shook her mind up a bunch and made her dazed most of the time. She hoped she looked better then she felt.

Redwave »
Redwave cursed under his breath any time he had the chance as he dragged Swiftsplash back to camp. How could a cat be so careless as to get bit by a boa? He was lucky it wasn’t a sea krait that had gotten him as those creatures were deadly with one bite. If a boa bit a cat they were most likely going to survive, though the pain would be hard to deal with. Constrictors weren’t known to bite their prey, they did what their name implied, wrapped around their prey and constricted their muscular bodies until their food was choked of all life. It was odd that one had decided to bite Swiftsplash, but Redwave wasn’t here to question what another animal did.
Eventually he made it back to camp with the injured tom. As soon as he lay the tomcat down he felt his entire body ache with the effort it had taken to bring Swiftsplash back; Redwave had a stocky build, but he was short and rather weak - it was why becoming a hunter had been in his future rather than following the path of a scout. He sat heavily on the ground, narrowing his eyes as he watched Seabreeze rush forward to take a look at the injured scout. ”Boa,” he breathed between recovering himself. ”Don’t know why it bit him, and don’t care.” Quite frankly he didn’t care to stick around and watch the healer patch him up, but for as much as Redwave wanted to leave camp once more, he knew he wouldn’t make it far. He needed to recover his strength and breath after dragging dead weight all the way back to camp.

Tigerpaw »
The tabby tom wasn’t sure how long he sat there staring longingly at his father’s den. His tail twitched back and forth, almost like it was counting the minutes it had been since Risingbrook had left to attend to his duties outside of camp. Tigerpaw most likely would have sat there even longer if not for a voice in his vicinity caught his attention.
The young feline jumped, clearly startled at the sudden approach. The fur along his spine bristled, eyes widening and looking around frantically until they landed on the familiar form of Ripplepaw, her black pelt something Tigerpaw knew well even from his nursery days. ”Oh, hi, Ripplepaw!” He chirped, hoping he hadn’t come off as too nervous by her arrival. In actuality he was glad to see another cat wanting to spend time with him, but her sudden appearance had startled him.
Eventually he felt the fur flatten along his body. He took in a deep breath, noticing her concern for him; he shrugged his shoulders, briefly glancing toward Coconutfall’s den once more. ”I’m fine, nothing to worry about.” It was somewhat of a lie, but he didn’t want to worry the molly. Rather than focus on that, though, he turned his attention to a new commotion in the middle of camp.
Redwave was dragging the limp form of Swiftsplash inside. Instantly Seabreeze darted forward to take over. Tigerpaw tensed. ”That doesn’t look good,” he mumbled over to Ripplepaw. While worried, he couldn’t help but be curious. What had happened? Was Swiftsplash going to be okay? He seemed badly hurt, and Redwave looked exhausted, suggesting that it had not been easy getting back to camp.

Archwhisker
With - [ Coconutfall ]
Location - [ Camp ]
Vanillabloom. Obviously she was not the best fit for the tabby Oracle; if she were, this situation would not currently be happening. Sometimes Archwhisker if he was the only cat who could reasonably see these details. He decided against pushing this thought on his brother, deciding that it wouldn't be worth the trouble. His spiritual brother had much more faith then Archwhisker could even fathom.
As an apprentice, Archwhisker realised that he had little faith. His mind simply wouldn't understand how the Ocean could have such an impact on them; he always did as he wanted. He didn't stop and consider the retribution that may have been inflicted on him and it never happened. More than once he'd scorned the Ocean and yet he was still there to tell the tale. He'd been an outcast from the beginning due to his lacking social abilities... a snark thought crossed his mind... perhaps the Ocean had outcast him too.
The shift in Coconutfall after bringing up Tigerpaw made Archwhisker narrow his eyes. Further, Archwhisker tilted his head when Coconut asked him for insight regarding the decisions of the Ocean. "It makes no sense, that's for sure." He added with a mumble. "Maybe the Ocean just wanted you to own up to what you did." He shrugged non-nonchalantly. "Seems a bit harsh to punish Vanillabloom and her kits in the process. Or Sandheart. She can barely cross camp without being scowled at." He pondered thoughtfully, not considering how his words may make Coconutfall feel. "Regardless, you'd better stop sulking. What's done is done. Time to think about how you can make amends."
It is often hard to know if Archwhisker intends to be kind and empathetic or cruel. In reality, he lacks what others might call a 'filter'. Sometimes his words could be helpful, sometimes they caused arguments. It was one of the various reasons he struggled to maintain a close relationship with anyone other then Coconutfall, and even Coconutfall had a duty as a brother to put up with his antics to some extent.
Sandheart
With - [ Vanillabloom ]
Location - [ Nursery ]
In the moment, Sandheart wished she had told Vanillabloom earlier. Would that change how everyone else views me and Coconutfall, though? The reality was that Vanillabloom wasn't the cat they needed to convince; the molly was already to selfless. She nodded slowly. "I wish we told you earlier, too." She murmured, a mere breath that passed her lips.
A silence befell the nursery. The two mollies sharing each others company, each knowing that the world outside was currently a typhoon. Eventually it would fade away and the pieces that had broken in its path would be mended... yet never the same. "Thank you, Vanillabloom." Sandheart gave her a soft smile, "Really."
With that, the molly made her exit. Slipping out of the den and back into the camp. Evidently, it was quite the poor timing as Redwave hauled an injured Swiftsplash through the camp. Sandheart's almond-shaped eyes widened like moons and she watched as the pair disappeared to the healers den. A wave of concern rushed through her pelt however there was nothing she could do. She was a scout, not a healer. Looking around further, she saw Tigerpaw with Ripplepaw. I need to talk to Tigerpaw, too. Sandheart noted. And Whitepaw... and Coconutfall. She turned her head to look at the Oracle's den. Was her mate faring okay? Would he want her company after all the trouble that had been caused? Her stomach seized. Would he cast her away in order to save face for the clan?!
"He wouldn't!" She muttered under her breath. She shook her head to rid it of such thoughts.

Coconutfall »
The two brothers were quite different from one another. They shared similarities, both being awkward and socially inept, albeit in their own ways, but their differences were more than their similarities. Where Coconutfall tended to watch what he said, Archwhisker did not. Where Coconutfall was bound by the Ocean, Archwhisker was not. Despite this though, they were close. Or at least, the oracle liked to think they were. He wouldn’t have let Archwhisker barge into his den if that were not the case. He wouldn’t be sitting there letting his littermate talk if they did not get along; sure, they had their typical sibling argument here and there, but right now Coconutfall was not in the mood for arguing. He was full of nerves, he was scared, and most of all he was confused. His world was flipping upside down and there was nothing he could do to stop it. There had been a way to keep all of this from happening, but Sandheart had been the only cat he had ever wanted to be with. Over the seasons he had grown tired of not being with her, and so he had made his move, and now, well, it was obvious to see what that had done to the entire Clan.
The more Archwhisker talked the smaller Coconutfall felt. After the announcement he had holed himself up inside his den, scared to show his face to the Clan he was supposed to lead. Out there was Tigerpaw, his son who the Ocean had chosen, his son that he had been ignoring. Whitepaw was out there as well, and while Archwhisker had no updates on the young molly, Coconutfall was sure his youngest daughter was experiencing her fair share of problems. His older kits were bound to be wrapped up in their own storm of confusion and anger. And then there was Sandheart. A fine scout she was, a cat that made friends just as easily as the ocean cast its waves upon the shore, yet now she was scoffed at, scorned for what she had done. She was out there suffering while Coconutfall hid away like a coward. He swallowed, throat dry. Sandheart deserved better. She deserved a mate that could stand up for himself. Coconutfall knew he couldn’t quite be that kind of cat, but for Sandheart he would try.
Coconutfall inhaled. With an inflating breath of air he looked his brother in the eyes. ”You’re right. I should be out there with my Clan.” Archwhisker may not have charisma, but Coconutfall was well aware of that. He knew his brother meant well in that Archwhisker way of his, and even if his nerves were shot and he was frightened of what he’d see once he stepped outside, Archwhisker had made a point - cats were suffering, and Coconutfall needed to get out there and fix things.
”Beside me,” he ordered Archwhisker. With a flick of his tail he motioned for the other tabby to stand at his side. Another deep breath and he made his way out of his den for the first time in a long while. He did not expect to see a peaceful scene once in camp, but even he was shocked to see the scene he had made an appearance to.
There, in the middle of camp, lay Swiftsplash. Beside him was Seabreeze working diligently while also attempting to move him to the healers’ den, not too far off was Redwave, the tom looking exhausted but ready to snap if a cat tried to help him.
Coconutfall faltered. He stood in shocked silence, the only thing keeping him from retreating back to his den was the sight of Sandheart. Their eyes locked and there he stayed, hoping the ginger tabby had it in her to close their distance.
Vanillabloom »
with - open
Had Sandheart and Coconutfall confided in Vanillabloom earlier the outcome would have likely been the same. The white queen knew that, but for herself emotionally, she felt as if that would have changed things greatly. She could have broken the news to her kits in a softer manner, could have given herself more time to grieve over her broken relationship before it had come out to the public. Her kits would have had more time as well. It wouldn’t have stopped Coconutfall from being questioned nor would it have had kept Sandheart from becoming a social pariah, but things could have been different for Vanillabloom and her family. Maybe that was selfish thinking on her part, but it would have helped her, if only a little.
She meant what she had told Sandheart. She was not against the scout, not like how so many in the Clan were, not like how Redwave now despised Sandheart. Vanillabloom only wished joy and prosperity on her, and should she ever need it, the nursery would be a safe space for her thoughts and self.
A nod of acknowledgement was given to Sandheart before she departed. Vanillabloom watched in silence as the other molly left. Oh, Ocean, guide all our paws to better days, she quickly prayed before pushing herself up to her paws.
Before departing herself, Vanillabloom quickly glanced over the nursery. All was tidy for now. She had been able to keep the den spotless with no expectant mothers or kits residing within its walls as of yet. With little to do she exited outside to camp.
Like most the scene unfolding before her left Vanillabloom shocked. Eyes went wide as she observed the chaos in camp; injuries happened, but Swiftsplash did not look to be in good condition. She breathed. Please let him recover.

Seabreeze- with Swiftsplash and Redwave
Seabreeze was still frantically fumbling about the healer den, thinking hard. Snake bites...Anise? Her mind suddenly remembered Lilypool teaching her to treat snake bites with that. But was she sure enough? She didn’t want to give Swiftsplash something that would make her worse...

(*stumbles in* okay just caught up on the last two pages lol; sorry seabreeze! and no prob ivy, i think the conversation came to a good close c:
actually now i'm kind of inspired to make a couple more cats; maybe one can be a sibling to sandheart, aether, who is absolutely furious over her sister's actions? and then like a crotchety counselor who starts questioning the ocean and their own faith)
algaewing -- calm falls -- with lilypool and crocodilefang (Feathertalon )
"Hopefully not too many," Algaewing said grouchily as she strode across the earth. "I want to relax, not socialize." She certainly didn't need some mousebrain blabbing their useless thoughts about her father in her face. Her family had a hard enough time coping with the betrayal without some outsider's opinion dragging them back through the mud.
So, when the trio approached the sound of rushing water and the burble of the waterfalls, Algaewing was already on edge upon hearing other cats' voices. "Ugh," she muttered. "I'm not even going to bother. I'm crawling under the waterfall to drown out their caterwauling."
The grumpy healer padded towards the falls themselves, sniffing along the ground. "Bet they're gossiping behind our backs," she muttered, unable to keep the petty side of her out of her mouth. "Having a lot of fun discussing this delightful drama that they don't have to be a part of."

Archwhisker
With - [ Coconutfall / Open]
Location - [ Camp ]
Giving a firm nod, Archwhisker felt satisfied at the direction of the conversation. Wordlessly, he brushed against his brothers side at the order, providing a gentle nudge of his shoulder against Coconutfall's when he thought his tabby brother might falter. It was no surprise that Archwhisker wasn't overly concerned by the commotion occurring in the middle of camp, briefly he watched with curious whisker twitching, until he looked back to his brother. I think my job here is done, Archwhisker thought with a smirk. Coconutfall was staring at Sandheart, and she was staring back. The pair looked as though they had just taken their first breath of air after being submerged from a dive in the ocean.
Sandheart moved towards them, and Archwhisker silently slipped away. He may not have the greatest social protocols, but this was one time where it was obvious: Coconutfall and Sandheart needed a moment just to themselves. The tabby tom moved away, padding around the commotion of the camp towards the warriors den. Looking across camp, he saw Vanillabloom at the nursery entrance before averting his amber eyes. It had been some times since he'd seen the white molly about camp; she carried a calming and pleasant atmosphere wherever she went. Frankly, it did sadden him that she had been hurt by the situation. Archwhisker found himself at the scout den and he sat to watch the events unfold, his mind drifting to his own version of 'what if things had been different'.
Sandheart

As cat's circled around the injured tom, Sandheart kept her distance, watched wide-eyed as Seabreeze frantically fumbled over her thoughts. Had Sandheart any inkling of herbal or healing knowledge she may have offered to help, but the scout knew she would only get in the way of the tense situation. Instead, she watched from afar, her tail bristling with concern. A sound from the Oracle's den made her turn her head and she sucked in a breath as she watched Coconutfall and Archwhisker emerge. She felt her heart skip though this time it not from such intense, fearful emotions. Instead, she felt relieved to see her mate well.
Slipping away from the nursery den, she padded daintily around the edges of camp to avoid meeting anyone along her path, traversing the camps slope until finally she reached the oracle.
When she was close enough, she murmured "Coconutfall." She ducked her head to press it under his chin, taking a moment to take in his scent as she embraced him. It was familiar. It was comforting. It was home. "I'm happy you're here,"she breathed, pulling back to look at him with green eyes brimming with emotion. For three days she'd been deciding what she would say to him when they had a moment together but somehow now, her mind was empty. "Have you been eating? You look thinner..." she mumbled with her characteristic protective concern.
Rookfall
With - [ Ospreyfeather, Cliffstorm ]
Location - [ Near Calm Fall ]
Rookfall opened his maw to answer Cliffstorm's question before being abruptly interrupted by the sudden beating of wings on the air. He jumped back, ears swiveling to detect the cause, eyes widening as they darted back and forth. It was only a few heartbeats later that he realised Ospreyfeather was the cause, plodding onto the bank with quite the look of dissatisfaction. "S-sorry Ospreyfeather!" Rookfall straightened his posture and flicked his ears apologetically. "I didn't realise you were in the middle of stalking a fruit dove."
Hootpaw
With - [ Drizzlefur, Turtlestream, Risingbrook ]
Location - [ Camp ]
Hootpaw sniffed, averting her intense green eyes are Drizzlefur spoke about her sympathy for Coconutfall. Everyone of us can decide who we love... it seems unfair that he can't do that too. Of course, her empathetic sister would have such an opinion. Hootpaw did not agree; she believed that Coconutfall was traitor for disobeying the tradition set by their past elders. He wasn't like the rest of the clan, that is why he had to follow the rules of the Ocean! Biting her tongue, Hootpaw refrained from making a sarcastic comment, 'Everyone of us can decide who we love, and we also decide to not break rules!'
The past three days since the Oracle's announcement had shifted Hootpaw's perception of not just Coconutfall and Sandheart, but also Tigerpaw and Whitepaw. Three sunrises ago, Hootpaw would have been pleased to find their company, now she avoided them like green-cough. She couldn't blame her den mates for their situation; its not as though she suddenly hated them. But there was a sudden tension she felt knowing that the two cats who she trained alongside were suddenly not who she knew them to be. They were different... special.
At Risingbrook's approach, Drizzlefur was the first to welcome him with a wave of her white-ticked tail. "Hunting?" Her voice was soft, her eyes glowing, pleased at the invitation. She looked to Turtlestream and shared a nod before turning back to Risingbrook. "Sounds like a good idea to me. We've already got a scout here, too." The molly rose from her seated position and stretched out her back legs, speaking as she did so. "Where would you like to hunt?"

aether do you mind if risingbrook has a crush on drizzlefur? i thought it would be kind of fun. it doesn’t have to actually work out. if not i can just re-do this)
Risingbrook- with Drizzlefur, Hootpaw and Turtlestream
“I haven’t got any particular place in mind. Maybe the Gecko Ravine?” Risingbrook asked, then, looking at Drizzlefur, quickly added shyly, “If you’re fine with it. Unless you had somewhere else in mind?” He realised he was fidgeting nervously, so he quickly stopped, hoping he had impressed the she-cat.

Ospreyfeather - with Cliffstorm and Rookfall
Ospreyfeather nodded at Rookfall’s apology, followed swiftly with Cliffstorm’s. “Now, I should really be getting back to camp,” said Ospreyfeather, then added dryly, “Which I can do alone, if you two wanted to continue this conversation.” He raised his eyebrows. “I take it that you do?”

Rookfall
With - [ Ospreyfeather, Cliffstorm ]
Location - [ Near Calm Fall ]
Rookfall twitched his ears apologetically once more, giving a half-hearted shrug and nod at the same time. For a well-built scout, Rookfall often seemed too much of a pushover in situations where other might expect scouts to be assertive. "Well, yeah, I'll hang around... I was just passing... by..." His voice faltered by the end. Turning to Cliffstorm, Rookfall let out a sheepish chuckle. "Talk about poor timing on my part, I suppose." His tone was lighter now as he attempted to redirect the mood.
"To answer your question before, I'm not going anywhere in particular. I just felt like leaving camp for a bit." It would not be surprising given the rising tensions within the clan. "Calm Falls certainly lives up to its name, I like coming here when I need a break." He added.
Drizzlefur
With - [ Hootpaw, Tutlestream, Risingbrook ]
Location - [ Camp ]
At his suggestion, Hootpaw stepped forward and nodded quickly, "That sounds good to me!" She chirped to her mentor; not concerned with the fact that she, an apprentice, may be overstepping her role in the situation. Given the fact that Turtlestream didn't seem to have complaints in the situation, Drizzlefur was surprised when Risingbrook explicitly asked for her opinion. The perceptive molly's eyes flicked to his fidgeting paws before catching his eyes once more. He seemed nervous.
"I think that is a great idea," she smiled to him. If he was nervous then she wanted to positively reinforce him to help build confidence!
As the patrol moved from the camp and traversed the camp and moved through the territory, Hootpaw took the rear of the patrol behind Drizzlefur and Risingbrook. Naturally, Turtlestream the scout, took the head of the patrol.
The Gecko Ravine was one of the further hunting areas in the territory, on one side was the beach and ocean, then on the other was the ravine; their destination. For some time the patrol maneuvered in pleasant silence - a rarity after all that had happened in the clan the past three days. The weather was humid with the threat of rain, most usual for this time of year. Drizzlefur smiled to herself, reveling in the sense of normality that she felt with this small patrol.
"Say, Risingbrook, how are finding mentoring Hootpaw? I hope she isn't giving you too much trouble," Drizzlefur looked to Risingbrook at her right, a teasing light to her green eyes. Hootpaw was a promising young molly, small in size but with all the brazen personality and painfully analytical smarts to make up for it. Despite the fact the they were sisters, Drizzlefur was glad to not have to be responsible for the young black mollies training.
[ i'm down for risingbrook to have a crush on drizzlefur! she'll probs catch on pretty quick (she's smart like that) so we can play around with it! ]

Risingbrook - with Drizzlefur, Hootpaw and Turtlestream
"Hootpaw is a great apprentice! I'd say I am doing quite well, though it's probably mostly Hootpaw. She is so well behaved," Risingbrook replied, then continued, "just like her sister." He hoped fervently Drizzlefur hadn't seen the four times he had fidgeted while talking to her on the hunt. He didn't see how anyone could look at Drizzlefur without admiring her sleek black pelt.
Turtle stream - with Risingbrook, Drizzlefur and Hootpaw
Turtlestream looked back to see her second-oldest son Risingbrook look admiringly at Drizzlefur for at least the sixth time on the hunt. She stifled a bout of amused laughter as Risingbrook praised Drizzlefur once again. Sometimes lip-reading could come in really handy, she thought. She hoped their relationship would work out. She wanted to continue the family line as far as she could, and keep the memory of her deceased mate alive through her descendants. She tried to push back the memory of her dead mate, but her mind filled with unwanted memories. The image of Waveshadow's limp body flashed in her mind. The mere thought of her deceased mate made her engulfed in grief. I must stay strong for my kits..., she had told herself countless times in the past.

Drizzlefur
With - [ Hootpaw, Tutlestream, Risingbrook ]
Location - [ Gecko Ravine]
Drizzlefur tipped her head curiously, a purr sounding in her throat. She wasn't sure what she had done to deserve Risingbrook's praise, but she certainly didn't mind it. "I'm glad she's not causing you trouble. I just she leaves all the trouble-making to when she interacts with me or Rookfall," she chuckled humorously. The social interaction seemed to occur naturally to Drizzlefur. Not once did she fidget or pause, nor did she stammer. One of the highlights that others often praised in Drizzlefur was her ability to act and respond organically with whoever she was engaging with; she had an inherent skill to read and respond to others.
As they neared the ravine, Hootpaw jolted forward, surpassing her mentor and sidestepping ahead of Turtlestream. Hootpaw, the avid hunter, preemptively began scenting the air for any trace of prey. Through the thick, humid air, she caught scent of a woodswallow, and her tail began to bristle with excitement. "I'm going to get it!" She glanced back to the others, speaking in a hushed tone. Without awaiting their response she bounded into the brush of the rainforest, swiftly being enveloped in the darkness of the shadowy forest floor.
"Hootpaw-" There was no use in recalling the molly, and Drizzlefur merely sighed apprehensively. Shaking her head, a mixture of concern and amusement, Drizzlefur looked from Risingbrook to Turtlestream and meowed, "I guess we may as well hunt too, hmm?"

Ripplepaw The black molly winced at the sight of Swiftsplash's limp figure, most specifically his wound. "You're right," she mewed. She had no idea what could've happened to Swiftsplash for him to get hurt so badly. Ripplepaw blinked in surprise as she saw Redwave succesfully dragging the white tom into the medicine den. The ginger tom had a stocky build, and it was strange he mustered up the strength and managed to carry out with helping Swiftsplash. She herself knew she would never be able to do that, as her lithe body was pretty fragile, which didn't help with fights or carrying heavy prey, or, in this case, cats.
She then thought of Tigerpaw's response. She had always been good at reading a cat's emotions, but if Tigerpaw wanted his feelings to stay a secret, so be it. She wouldn't bug him about it further.
"So, what did you do today? Anything interesting around camp?" She shuffled her paws anxiously, admitting to herself that she wasn't a very social cat- but she still wanted to spark a conversation with the tom. Perhaps she would find a friend in him; they both had parents which weren't meant to be together by Clan standards.
She felt like she gulped salt water as she thought of her parents. She never knew who her father was, and her mother was a kittypet. All she remembered about her mother was that she wanted her to live with her father, in the Clan, and that she always wore a distinct pink collar with a cold, shiny item hanging from it which contained strange symbols.
Her head burned with fury- how dare her mother leave her behind? How dare she leave her to live in a Clan, all by herself? Why had she not joined her?
Had she not loved her?
Tears clouded Ripplepaw's blue gaze, but she quickly blinked them away. Her mother didn't love her- that's what it was. She unsheathed and sheathed her claws, wishing she could rip into her mother's fur and claw her to pieces. She made a promise to herself at that very moment; she would never leave her kits behind.
(p.s. i saw the swiftsplash thing i'm just not sure how to respond, i'll scrabble something up)
