You find yourself resting underneath a large tree as you take a moment to take refuge from the harsh sun. You have been wandering the savannah going in no particular direction. As you sit there, you consider laying down for a nap when something in the tall grass catches your eye. There seemed to be movement, however you blink and it's gone. You begin to think you might have been seeing things when you are surrounded by a group of four lions. You consider making a run for it when a large looking male lion comes walking up to you. He eyes you up and down for a few seconds before speaking. "Outsider, you are trespassing on Sunrise territory. I suggest you leave or else my fellow guards will make you leave." He watches you closely as you consider what to do next. "Or if don't have anywhere else to go, you could join our pride. Know that you will have to pull your own weight. Now what will you do?"
About:
The Sunrise Pride has been around for many generations. The pride started out as a monarchy with strict rules. The lionesses did all the work and only the king's children could be the next to rule. However, an uprising overthrew the abusive king and a new ruler came into power and established the rolls and rules that are still used till this day. The Sunrise Pride is made up of lions of different sizes, genders and backgrounds. They value, loyalty, dedication and family. Everyone is considered important from the smallest cub to the oldest lion.
Territory and Camp
The pride's territory is made up of open grassland that stretches all the way to the river in one direction and all the way to the edge of the desert. There is a dirt road that goes through the grassland where safari jeeps go back and forth. To the east is a farming village. All pride members are forbidden from hunting the farm animals here.
Camp is a cluster of trees and rocks that form the perimeter. The dens are made up of dense bushes, hollowed out rocks and fallen trees.
Landmarks
The Winding River: The Winding River is a fairly deep river that snakes through the grassland and connects to the ocean. The river is used as a water source and hunting ground for the pride. Just be wary of the crocodiles that linger in the river.
Grazing Grounds: This land is a flat, grassy area where herd animals come to graze and relax. The pride hunts as a group in this area but single hunters can usually catch something. Hyenas, Leopards and Cheetahs use this area to hunt as well so watch out!
Laughing Rock: About a mile away from the Winding River, is a large rock which is the home of a group of hyenas. This particular hyena group has been a thorn in the pride's side for many years. No one is permitted to go unless they have a death wish.
Sandy Wasteland: The Sandy Wasteland is the desert that borders the pride's territory. There have been many stories sounding this mysterious land. Some believe that it's a portal to the afterlife, some there is nothing out there but sand and death, and others think it holds secrets. No one has really explored and lived to tell the tale!

Pride Traditions
Unity Ceremony: The Unity ceremony is where to two lions can come together to be wed. The ceremony is usually done by either the leader or the healer. Not everyone wants a unity ceremony, but most do it anyway. It is considered good luck to do the ceremony under a new moon.
When cubs are born within the pride, the leader will present them and everyone will give a loud roar to welcome them into the world.
Religion: Within the pride many of them have different beliefs. Some believe in their ancestors who guide them, while others believe in the Great Creator and others simply have no beliefs. Everyone is encouraged to believe in whoever they want and to not start fights over it.

No perfect characters, your characters must have some kind of flaws whether it's physical or mental.
Your character can have unusual colors but nothing to crazy. No neon or rainbow colored lions or ones with wings. Albino is allowed long as their aren't to many of them.
Female lions can be guards and male lions can be hunters
LGBTQ+ characters are allowed
Please don't join then never return. I understand life happens but try and be active especially if you are a high ranking role.
Please talk to me if you want to do anything really big like a natural disaster or a coup.
