Grace ran out to the main control room, meeting up with an excited Party Poison, with a rather tired Fun Ghoul leaned up against him. Grace smiled at the sight, finding sleepy Ghoul and almost protective Poison cute. But she shook her head to be rid of the thoughts as Kobra Kid and Jet Star entered the room, immediately walking over to the door, Kobra grabbing the handle to the outside.
"Alright." Kobra said, glancing towards Jack and them as his grip tightened. It felt nice in here, he almost didn't want to go back out into the desert, but alas he couldn't get used to this. This was most likely a one time thing. Which Kobra wasn't going to complain about.

"Don't say 'alright' like you're saying goodbye," Clara said with a roll of her eyes, "we're going to meet your friends. Come on, gang." The Doctor groaned from somewhere in the back of the bunch, but was widely ignored as the five of them came to a huddle around the door. That tended to happen a lot when Clara took charge of things. The girl had noticed, and the Time Lord had as well. The latter didn't like it so much. The former, well, she thought that it was pretty damn awesome so far.

Kobra Kid sighed, looking back at Party Poison and Fun Ghoul, who both flashed Kobra a thumbs up, a sign that they were ready. Both had bandanas pulled over their mouths, Ghoul having sunglasses and Poison having his flight goggles over his eyes. Kobra clicked his tongue, before twisting the door and forcing it open.
A blast of heat whipped around the TARDIS, a hot wind blowing sand and dust right into unsuspecting eyes. Kobra wish he had brought sunglasses, because this was pretty harsh. The Zonerunner stepped putside, using all of the strength in his legs to prevent himself from being blown away. Jet, and eventually Ghoul and Poison, stepped outside as well, Grace being the last one out, and all of them smiled as they saw the van in which transported Dr. Death Defying and his small crew, and in the Diner the lights were on and Kobra saw a figure move in the windows.
They all ran out of the TARDIS, right towards the Diner door. Jet got a hold of this one's handle, finding it rather difficult to open because of the wind, but with enough effort he eventually got it open and the Killjoys walked in with a sigh of relief.

The five followed. Jack didn't bother to do anything as he fought his way after the Killjoys, and neither did Ashildr or The Doctor. All three seemed unbothered by the cutting, stinging sand as they fought their ways to the door and slipped inside. Courtney, however, pressed her shirt to her nose and mouth, and Clara did the same, the latter actually producing a pair of old, aviator style sunglasses as they both shouldered their way inside as well. "That's intense," Courtney mumbled, "doesn't do that in England." But then again, England was not a complete desert from hell.

The Zonerunners pulled down their bandanas and took off their eye protection as it was noticeably and very obviously calmer in here compared to the hell that was outside. Party Poison collapsed on an overstuffed sofa, Fun Ghoul pulling up a chair next to him. Jet Star went to go find some food, and Kobra Kid sat on the counter, swinging his long legs, Grace struggling to get up onto the counter next to him.
Suddenly, they all perked upwards as the sound of footsteps other than their own sounded out, and soon a person wearing a polka dot helmet, tight jeans, and a white crop top sporting the word "NOISE" on it entered the room. Show Pony was their name, and Pony took one look at the Killjoys and waved at them. They waved back. But then Pony noticed the elephants in the room, and stared at them. "Who are you guys?" To them, the unfamiliars didn't look like Zonerunners to Pony. Not as dirty and grimy, not as worn down and not as rough-looking. They wondered if these guys were even from here.
(Using 'they/them' bc honestly I'm not too sure what Show Pony identifies as)

"We ran into the Killjoys out in the desert, fighting some Dracs," Ashidlr said, as no one else really said anything. She extended a hand after a moment, giving a smile, "I'm Me." "Captain Jack Harkness," Jack introduced, raising one hand and flashing that always sunny smile, "nice to meet you." There were various other introductions, from Clara, Courtney, and The Doctor only when prompted with a light elbow to the ribs. "Nice to meet you," he grumbled.

"Show Pony." Show Pony said, jutting his hip out as he took his helmet off, exposing his face with wild long brown hair tousled with hat head. "Are you guys Rebels? You don't look like BLI." Pony said, looking at the Killjoys with a cocked eyebrow. Fun Ghoul shrugged, Kobra Kid doing the same. Party Poison was looking at Jack with a raised eyebrow as well, Jet Star looking like he didn't care. Grace was looking at Show Pony with her usual curious expression, swinging her legs just like her blond friend.

"Yeah, something like that," The Doctor said with a sardonic sort of smile. Clara elbowed him in the ribs again, and he almost growled at her, if it hadn't been for the look she was giving him. "We're from across the pond. You know, England. There's a resistance sort of thing over there." He was leading it, and it was going pretty damn well if he did say so himself. But, stopping in the USA to review the situation was not going so well, in his humble opinion. Or, maybe that was just the fact that he actually hated the United States with a bit of a burning passion. They weren't ever nice to him.

Show Pony raised both eyebrows as he set his helmet down. "Really? Oh that's weird." Pony said, putting his hand on his hip. "There are still people left there? Surprising, and oddly cool." Pony said, flashing the old man a smile before looking towards the Killjoys. "Alright, Dr. D will be out a second, I don't know of you heard but the YoungBloods are making some noise in the first few Zones, and he's got one of them with him for now. They're talking right now." Pony said, and they all nodded. The Killjoys all were used to having guest Rebels over, usually having a quick chat about plans and whatnot.

"Yeah, all over Europe and Africa and Asia..." The Doctor mumbled, running a hand through his curls as Show Pony turned away to talk abut whatever they were talking about. Even Australia had a resistance. Well, a tiny one, but there was one. He quite wished that he could help, but unfortunately this all was a fixed point in time now. There was nothing more that he could do than fight like most normal men would, just with the added advantage of a time and space ship. Jack was still here, so he assumed that things turned out okay enough for him to still be born in the end, right? He had somedays though when the man slept in or slipped out to go and see someone or run errands, and The Doctor ended up frantically looking for him, just to make sure that the entire future hadn't suddenly been wiped out.

Show Pony sighed. "I wonder how they got over there, or survived the Fires for that matter. Or how they survive at all, really." Pony said, grabbing his helmet and instead putting it on the counter next to Kobra Kid. He didn't trust the others enough to leave his helmet out in the open where it could easily be stolen, and Pony couldn't go after them because he didn't have his roller skates on. "How do they get running water? How do they get food? We may never know." That was one of Pony's weird aspects, he ran his sentences and phrases on a little bit before it was appropriate.
Suddenly, louder footsteps conjoined with jingling of metal on metal echoed throughout the room, and a big, rough-looking man stepped out from the back of the Diner and walked into the main room. Grace then jumped down and ran over to him, hugging his middle and yelping, "Dr. D!" as she did so. The Fabulous Killjoys waved hello to him, all sporting soft smiles, but stopped as another man stepped out from behind him. This man was noticeably shorter, and rougher-looking as well. He had long ginger hair swooping over his forehead in almost a fringe, mostly covered by a beat up and dirtied fedora. He wore a ripped leather vest and a black tee shirt, and wore black dirtied combat boots, but even though he looked rough and tough (he was fairly muscular) you could tell that before this all happened he was definitely a lot softer on his exterior. Bright green eyes stared at the rest of them with wonder and amazement, as his jaw fell open.
"Hey! You're the Fabulous Killjoys!" The man said, tipping his fedora to them. "Card Trick. Part of the YoungBloods?" Card Trick said, and the Killjoys nodded in suspicion. "Don't worry, I'm not here for very long. Just going actually. But it's an honor to meet you guys!" Kobra Kid and Party Poison smiled at him, both brother giving him a nice and friendly wave. Fun Ghoul just smiled a him and Jet Star mimicked tipping a hat to him. Trick smiled back at them, before turning towards the others. "These guys Rebels?" Trick said, not even bothering to ask for their names. The Killjoys shrugged, Grace and Show Pony doing the same.

[[ lmao tyler and josh show up next. ]]
"As we've been over sixty some times today, yes," The Doctor grumbled, dodging Clara's elbow this time and sticking his tongue out, eyebrows raising. He could tell that it nearly made her laugh, but she was trying very hard to be stern. He supposed that that had come with her old teaching job, the sternness. He was basically a big kid anyways, sort of. "Unfortunately, we don't have a cool group name, but I'm The Doctor, Jack, Me slash Ashildr, Courtney, and Clara." He pointed to each one in turn, having to decide for a moment which one was Clara and which was Ashildr. They were basically the same height, with the same hair length, and same round face and bossy posture, so it was hard to tell. The only defining characteristic for him was hair color, even if their faces were totally different from each others.

(they actually have killjoy names)
(tyler is mad gear and josh is missile kid)
Dr. Death Defying cocked his head and stuffed his hands in his pockets, Card Trick going to sit on a chair a little bit from Fun Ghoul. "Real names... wow.. haven't head those in a while. Besides the Doctor. Myself, and Dr. Benzedrine... was it?" Dr. Death asked Trick, who nodded curtly. "Ah, yes him. But hello, nice to meet you guys. So you've already met the Killjoys, I presume?" He asked, gesturing to the Zonerunners. "And Show Pony and Grace?" Dr. Death asked, stroking his beard in thought.
"Yeah." Party Poison spoke up, kicking his feet up onto another chair as he ran his hands through his messy flaming red hair.

[[ that's so darn cute. ]]
"Yeah, we got to know everyone," The Doctor nodded softly, crossing his arms over his chest, "and, to be honest, we should be going. We've got some crap to attend to back at home." It wasn't even a lie. They'd just overthrown a large BLI building, or so a text from Martha had said during the movie. No casualties on their part other than a hand clipped by a ray gun, thank god. They'd been so lucky not to lose anyone for about three months. The last one to go had been River, but he all too quickly shook the thought from his head. Jack's boyfriend had been before that. God, that had been awful, but he struggled with that image for a moment before wiping it off of the backs of his cold blue eyes as well. He needed to stop letting those memories get into his head and pop up there like... like pop up ads, but for death, despair, and mourning.

"Alright, see ya'." Party Poison said, similar phrases being said amongst the Killjoys and the other Rebels. Dr. Death Defying waved goodbye to them, before disappearing in the back to supposedly fix up his pirated radio transmitter. Card Trick tipped his fedora to all of them as a gesture for goodbye and exited out of the door, and soon the Killjoys heard the low rumble of a motorbike as it sped off, seemingly to Zone One, where the most noise was being made by the YoungBloods. Grace didn't exactly want to say goodbye to these guys, she liked them a lot and their weird ship and everything. They seemed like very interesting people. But alas, she waved a goodbye to them.

They waved, popping out the door and rounding the corner of the building to where the TARDIS was. There was a beat, the closing of the ship's door, another beat, and then suddenly The Doctor reappeared, sticking his head inside. "Um, just a thought," he began, "but I couldn't help but notice you lot looking at our weapons, and I suppose it couldn't hurt anything to get you a couple of blasters... what do you say, wanna make a quick pitstop with us?" He was somewhere in between pained and excited to say it, which was quite the weird combination, really, because he had found that he liked this lot, even if it was secretly. Giving them a few low level tech guns couldn't hurt, could it?

They were all up in an instant at the sound of new weapons, the rayguns being BLI technology, and any advantage they could have over the tyranny that the BL/Ind dishes out daily would be a godsend. "Hell yes." party Poison said, putting on his flight goggles and bandana over his mouth. "Pony, could you watch over Grace for now? We'll probably not be very long." Poison said to Pony who nodded, looking down at the now pouting Grace. But she understood. She wasn't allowed to have a weapon yet, although she could use them she couldn't have one for her very own. Wasn't old enough yet. Fun Ghoul smiled as he walked over to the door, looking out of the window and smirking. Kobra Kid hopped off of the counter and put on his helmet, ready to cause some trouble as Jet Star did the same.

"Hurry the hell up," The Doctor called out to them as he disappeared out the door again, and back into the TARDIS. It hummed welcomingly, and he looked around at everyone in it. Courtney had made herself scarce (good), Ashildr was curled up in one of the armchairs like a cat, and Clara and Jack were both smiling at him like the pudding brains they were. "What?" he asked, raising one eyebrow as he walked up to the console and began to take the break off of the ship. Clara's brows furrowed as she grinned. "That's very nice of you," she complimented. "We're just making a quick stopover on Gallifrey to grab some of my old guns," The Doctor said flatly, or he tried to, "it's no big deal."

"Alright." They called out, finishing up their preparations before heading outside. The wind had calmed down a lot, and it was quiet outside. If you tried, you could still hear the faint rumbling of Card Trick's bike all the way in Zone 3. As they passed the Trans-Am still parked by the gas pump, Party Poison gave it a good pat with his hand, a small part of him wanting to take it out for a spin and hopefully ghost some Dracs along the way. But alas, they were going somewhere, so the Zonerunners just followed the Doctor's lead and entered the Tardis after him. It still amazed them as they entered the bigger space, the cooling a lot more prominent now and Fun Ghoul found himself shivering just a bit.

The Doctor snapped his fingers, doors shutting behind the young men as he pulled down a lever. "We're going back to my home planet for the guns," he called across the catwalk as he fiddled with the controls, Jack and Clara seemingly helping as well. Soon, they were taking off. It was a steadier flight with all three of them, and it was apparent that both the Time Lord and the box knew full well where they were going, and had gone there many times. "It's called Gallifrey, big deserty planet. Well, used be trees, but it's a long story. Anyways, some friends of mine can get you some guns, we can get you home, and then I can get to helping my friends, okay?" As he said okay, he put the break on. The TARDIS wheezed to a wobbly standstill, and the lights brightened ever so slightly. Outside you could hear hustle and bustle, feed on metal and voices speaking in a different language. "We're in a landing bay," The Doctor informed, "try to stay out of docking zones, please. Who's all coming from my group?" "Not me," Jack and Ashildr replied at nearly the same time. "I'll pass!" Courtney called from somewhere down the hall. Clara sighed. "Guess it's my turn." The Doctor furrowed his brow, but then said, "Alright then, just Clara. You lot ready?"

Fun Ghoul nodded, slipping on his off-colour Frankenstein mask while heading over to the door. He'll admit it, he was slightly scared, the things being spoken sure didn't sound like English. Or really any language Ghoul knew. Both Jet Star and Kobra Kid pulled their visors down over their faces and both felt them clicking into place on their helmets, obscuring their features as 'GOOD LUCK' now stood boldly in white against Kobra's black visor. Party Poison was wishing he had brought along his MouseKat helmet, but just had his eye mask and flight goggles on him at the moment, so he just had to deal. The flight goggles were good enough, for now at least.
"F///ing ready." Kobra said, his slightly accented voice muffled behind his helmet as he approached the door as well, the other Killjoys following suit. They were all a little nervous, but the helmets and general face-obscuring-things did help a lot.

"Do you have to wear..." The Doctor trailed off, running a hand down his face before saying softly, "oh, fine." He'd worn weirder on this crap planet anyways. He squished himself past the four of them with an uncomfortable grimace, pushing open the door and letting in a rush of warmer air and all the sound of the busy hanger. Most of it was just TARDISes in their normal forms, which were large cylindrical silver tubes with doors on the front. Someone immediately skittered over, giving the Killjoys a look before bowing directly to The Doctor and Clara, but more to The Doctor. They said something in the odd language, holding out a clipboard, and The Doctor signed on it, handing it back over with a wry smile and asking something back. "Yes, I speak English. What is it you need, Lord President?" the man asked, pulling the clipboard under his arm and pulling out a communicator type of device. "I need a lift to the Capitol Building," The Doctor replied, and the man nodded, typing something on his communicator before gesturing with his head to five or six double doors. "There should be a shuttle for you out there, my Lord," he said with another bow. The Doctor just nodded. "Right, thanks, come on you four. Don't wander off, please." And with that, he walked away, hands in his pockets, apparently oblivious to the stares that his masked friends were getting, and that he was getting too.

"Listen. It's not like we weren't going to attract attention anyway." Party Poison could already feel stinging eyes boring into his bright firetruck red hair and sparkling blue Dead Pegasus jacket, but he didn't mind. That was one of the things about the Rebels. Bright clothing and equally bright hair to rebel against the literally black and white world of the BLI. Poison gulped only a little bit and stepped out, hand on his raygun as he followed the Doctor to wherever the old man was going. The other Killjoys hesitantly followed, Kobra Kid being the most noticeably nervous, as he was jittery and his hands were shaking only a bit. He didn't like the looks that he was getting, but decided to suck it up and deal with it. At least they weren't seeing his face. That was good.

"It's honestly just the masks," The Doctor said simply as he elbowed his way outside. He wasn't wrong. Everyone was dressed brightly in one color or another, many in golds and reds. People who appeared as women had heads shaved bald, men with hair down to their waists. There were piercings and tattoos valor, and hair dye appeared to be in high demand, one man's hair vividly rainbow. People stared though, whispering and pointing. "Or they might be looking at me," he shrugged, nodding and putting a hop in his step as someone in a long sort of car beckoned them over. After a quick exchange of words, The Doctor climbed into the front and said over his shoulder, "Pile in. Twenty minute ride."

Ah. Right. The helmets. Party Poison scowled at him. Those things again, were made to rebel against the BLI. Taking their helmets and making something vibrant and eye catching, the polar opposite to the dull and almost lifeless things that the BLI had to offer. Hell, Poison's MouseKat helmet with it's bright blue feathers and weird looking design was made to attract attention from all around the Zones. Or really wherever it may go. Poison glued those feathers and painted that design for a reason.
And suddenly, Poison felt arms wrapping around his own as they neared the weird looking car thing. Poison looked down to see Kobra Kid tightly holding onto his brother's arm, certainly getting the most weird looks as he did so. Poison just sighed, gave some of the people angry looks, and patted his younger brother's shoulder as they stopped at the car, and then proceed to all carefully step in.

Clara hopped in behind them ,shutting the door and sitting down on one of the white seats. Was it her imagination or was it... it was bigger on the inside, wasn't it? She'd been here about a dozen time while The Doctor had business, since he'd saved the planet and all, but she'd never actually ridden in one of their cars. Weird. And, twenty minutes later, they were pulling into the base of what appeared to be the tallest building in the entire city. It was a bit worn down, but much of it was glimmering spires and houses so tall that they could've been skyscrapers. The ceiling of the hanger that they pulled into was low for the precedent that the rest of the city had set, but it was still freaking huge. The car pulled around to a set of double doors, and soon Clara was hopping back out again, as was The Doctor, who had been furiously typing on his phone this entire time. Or, maybe not furiously. Clara knew he always looked like that. "Okay, come on, I have to go and talk to someone about letting me into my vault to grab the guns," he said after a moment, shoving his phone into his pocket, nodding to the driver, and starting towards the elevator. There were fewer people here, but the ones that were still glanced at them and mumbled. It was still unclear whether they were looking at The Doctor or at the Killjoys or at the human girl, but maybe it was all three? They didn't have to endure the stairs for long though. The Doctor stepped through the sliding doors, which immediately led to an elevator, which he pushed the button to wait for.

They all soon followed the Doctor, until they were momentarily stopped by Kobra Kid, who was standing at the door shaking in his damn boots. He honestly didn't exactly know why he was so nervous, almost scared, but he knew it had to do with this place being a city. Living in the ghetto part of New Jersey growing up already instilled some bad experiences, but Battery City made it even worse. He's only been there a couple times, but that was enough to make him never go there again. Scarring, what they do to people in that city. And they were about to walk right into one.
Jet Star soon took him by the arm and almost had to haul the slightly shorter Killjoy out, Kobra quickly latching onto his friend and getting into sync with his walking cycle as they continued to follow the Doctor. He found it calming, and was relieved his friends were here, even if this was embarrassing. At least they couldn't see his red face behind his helmet.
They soon stopped in front of the elevator as well, Jet letting out an awkward cough as Kobra just clung tighter and much closer. He felt bad for the rebel, what he had to go through in that awful city. Well, cities if you count wherever he grew up in New Jersey. He was actually surprised Party Poison was doing well, but came to the conclusion he was hiding most of his nervousness. Jet knew himself was.

The Doctor didn't say anything, but Clara looked pityingly over at Kobra as they began into the lift. "No one's going to hurt you," she said softly, trying to say it softly enough that The Doctor wouldn't butt in like he always did, "trust me, you're safe here when you're with us." She was really hoping that he wasn't going to panic in the upcoming confined space as they got inside, The Doctor jamming his thumb on one of the buttons as he continued typing. She could tell he was getting irritated. He was probably thinking something along the lines of, 'why are they scared if I'm doing something nice?' She just really, really hoped he wouldn't say it. He didn't know how to keep his mouth shut. But, thankfully, they made it to their floor after a brief stop for a retinal scan from The Doctor at a certain point. The room they stepped into was one Clara had been in before. It was like an ornate meeting room. Normally, more people were here, but today it was just the woman she knew as The General. "Hello, Doctor," the woman said evenly as they filed in, not batting an eye at the masks or the nervousness, "how are you?" Clara found her gorgeous, to be honest. They were around the same height, and just... she was just beautiful. Maybe Time Lords had a thing about them. "Fine," he said shortly. "How's Earth?" "Screwed. How's Gallifrey?" "Still struggling since you, as our President, neglect every single one of your duties." "Eh," he replied, "can I have the keycard for my vault?" She sighed, and then nodded, turning and heading towards the far door, throwing a, "Yes, wait here," over her shoulder.

Kobra Kid clung on tighter, trying to stifle his shaking by using his sturdier friend as a support. His helmet wasn't helping, but even thought it was kind of being a nuisance at the moment he still kept it on. Fun Ghoul looked over at Kobra through his Frankenstein mask with sadness in his eyes, knowing exactly how his blond friend felt. Cities were scary for the Killjoys, one, not being used to all of the people, and two, the absolutely appalling things that the BLI do behind closed doors in Battery City definitely leaves a nasty mark. Ghoul just sighed as he stepped forward, and then back as he didn't want to embarrass himself.
"Woah." Party Poison let out, finally taking off his flight goggles and stuffing them in his jean pocket as his now exposed hazel eyes darted around the place. It was definitely something you would only see in a movie, not even the BLI having this. They went for a more simplistic kind of style. Black and white, nothing ornate or fancy. Not that they had the funds or the place to mine for gold and whatnot in the first place, no, that space was taken up by rebels already.

"This is the room the High Council meets in," The Doctor informed after turning back to the group, gesturing to the table and walking slowly around it until he flopped in the tallest, most ornate chair, "this is where I sit. They wouldn't listen to me when I asked for a LazyBoy instead, but this is okay." "What are you doing?" came a sigh from the door on the other side of the room. The General was back with a keycard, walking over and handing it to him. He snatched it with two fingers, looking it over before sitting up, removing his legs from the arm of the chair and saying, "I was showing off my chair. It's a pretty nice chair, right?" "Well, Lord President, I have to stand, so I really do not appreciate the chair all that much," she smiled, before finally looking at the Killjoys and asking, "how do you know him?"
