Grace was soon running, up the stairs and onto the catwalk, looking at the rows and rows of books lining the walls of the machine. She was just in shock that this thing was even here, and how it could even exist. She was extremely excited to stay here, even for a night, and was ready to look into every nook and cranny she could find.
Kobra Kid and Jet Star gave each other a look, Kobra cracking a rare smile as they both chatted silently with each other, each coming to the same idea. Hell. Yes. Even is it was for just a night, this seemed like luxury compared to the body bags in the freezing night that smelled faintly like rotting corpses and squeaky clean, almost sickeningly, plastic. It was extremely cold at night, and even though it felt cold in here it was much better than the below freezing that the night had to offer. And the Power Pup. Both of them didn't care what they had, if it was anything besides Power Pup they would all be extremely happy.
"Where are they, exactly?" Fun Ghoul spoke up, Kobra looking back at him. "The bedrooms? I'm dead tired." Ghoul yawned for effect, glancing around the place, shock still setting in. But he was more focused on a soft bed than what was around him. Party Poison nodded as well, wanting to get a quick nap before inevitably staying up all night.

"Careful!" The Doctor yelled after Grace, though he didn't really expect her to listen. It wasn't like there was anything dangerous on the shelves, but he didn't want her knocking down anything. River's old books were up there now, and he didn't like people touching them. Clara glanced at the others, up the catwalk to Grace, and then said, "I can show you. It's kind of easy to get lost in here." She'd done it, Courtney had done it, well, just about everyone had done it except for Jack, but that was because the TARDIS most definitely had a crush on him, as did all the woman and The Doctor. "Come on," The Doctor opened his mouth to say something, "it'll only be a minute. Come on, Ghoul." And with that, she was off, leaving the others in the console room. Jack looked in between the remaining men, up at Grace, and then asked, "How long's it been since any of you watched a movie, huh?"

Party Poison and Fun Ghoul followed Clara up the stairs and to wherever she went, Ghoul actually tired and Poison just wanting a quick cat nap. They both didn't mind if they had to share a room, they've done it before, and gladly would do it again just so they could get some z's.
Kobra Kid's eyes widened and so did his smile, Grace tearing her eyes away from the books and looking down right at Jack. "Oh damn... it has to be a good six, seven years." Kobra said, looking back over at Jet Star. "What's that one moviethat I used to love... about space... and the main character's name is like Lucas? No... Luke! That was it! And it was called something like... Star Fights? Or something?" Kobra said, tapping his temple with his finger in thought.
Jet suddenly clicked his fingers. "Star Wars!" He exclaimed, and Kobra's face lit up like a lightbulb.
"Star Wars! That was it! Do you have those movies?" Kobra said, Grace getting even more excited. She was three when the Fires happened, she doesn't even know if she's ever seen a movie.

"Yeah, yeah, definitely," Jack replied with a grin, gesturing for them to follow, jogging towards the opposite staircase to which Clara, Party, and Ghoul had gone up. Ashildr and Courtney followed without prompting, but The Doctor was sulking. "Doc, bring some popcorn if you stop pouting!" Jack called as he disappeared into the hall, the two girls stepping aside to let the Killjoys and Grace through in front of them. It wasn't a long walk. Soon, Jack rounded the corner into a room that was basically a full sized movie screen. "Here we are," he said, voice echoing off of the walls, "I gotta go and find those movies..." As he spoke, he disappeared into a little, curtained door next to the one they'd come in. That was where The Doctor kept his stash of what Jack believed to be every movie ever made, and then some.

Grace bounded through the room, sitting down right in front of the TV, ready to see these so called 'movies'. But just as she got herself situated, she shook her head and stood back up. "I forgot something!" She exclaimed, making mental note of the way to get here, and ran out of the room and towards the door to the outside.
Kobra Kid, feeling a little worried about Grace as she proclaimed she forgot something, sat down where she was sat and looked up at the huge screens. He kept on smiling, remembering the times when Party Poison and him were young and would flock around the TV to watch a show or a movie. Good times, when the BLI was just an obscure pharmaceutical company and nothing else. When everything was right with the world.
Jet Star sat right next to Kobra, smiling just as brightly as his friend as he looked around at the room, and the area where Jack had disappeared into. A faint part of his mind wondered if Dr. Death Defying was here yet, but he guessed that the man wasn't. He was never here on time. And neither was his crew. Show Pony? Definitely not.

The Doctor was still seated in the console room as Grace came bounding in. He raised one bushy eyebrow, moving a bit from where he was leaned on the console and calling, "Where you going?" He was sure she was very self sufficient, but he still didn't like the idea of the girl running out there alone. What would she be doing anyways? Kids loved movies. Meanwhile, back in the little theater, Ashildr and Courtney had made themselves comfy a couple of seats down from the two men, whispering among each other. Jack appeared after a minute with a remote, pressing one of the buttons and kicking the screen to life. It was on the Star Wars title screen, and he said as he plopped down right next to Kobra Kid, "Tada."

Grace looked back at the Doctor as her hand gripped the handle. "I have to go back in the Diner for the Boom Box. I'll be quick I promise!" Grace said, standing on her tip toes to peer out of the windows to the old Diner. She knew where she had left it, in the old kitchens, and she knew why she had to get it. Never be too far from it, she has been told. Dr. Death Defying's radio broadcast, whenever it goes live, transmits to the Boom Box and all other systems calibrated to pick up the old signal it gives off. That's why she had to get it.
Kobra Kid was nervous yet excited to finally watch a movie, his big hazel eyes glued to the cover for the movie. Luke has been his idol and Party Poison's hero, so he was especially excited to watch it again, even though they've seen it a thousand times. Jet Star was excited as well, but not as much as his blond friend because he didn't have any emotional attachment other than love for the movie. But damn, he was ready. And he hoped Grace would come back soon, so she could indulge herself in this once popular type of media.

The Doctor sighed, glanced at the hall Grace had come from, and then got up with an, "I'll come with." He cracked his neck, walked over, and gestured for her to open the door, with a mumbled cue to lead the way. It wasn't like he thought she couldn't get it, but it was dangerous out there, especially for kids. "Do you want me to wait for Grace?" Jack asked, turning his head to look at Kobra with a small raise of his brow.
[[ blah sorry. ]]

"Okay!" Grace exclaiked, opening up the door an stepping back a bit at the blast of heat that entered into the TARDIS, including a little bit of sand from a breeze blowing by. Grace smiled, all too used to this weather, and quickly ran over to the front door of the Diner, where she yanked it open and ran in to find her Boom Box.
"Yeah, we should probably wait. What is she getting anyway?" Kobra Kid said, looking over to Jet Star, not really knowing why. It's not like Jet would know everything. Jet, as expected, just shrugged and looked back up at the screens. Kobra snorted a little bit and turned back to Jack with an amused raised eyebrow.

The Doctor followed after her, elbowing his way into the diner and standing near the door as he waited for her to get back with the boom box. He hadn't seen one of those in awhile. He was sure that he had one laying around somewhere inside the TARDIS, but he had no reason to look. If he wanted to listen to music he'd play it on the guitar or on the piano for himself. Jack smiled back at Kobra, leaning into his own seat and throwing his feet, which were still clad in his boots cause it just felt weird to not have them on in a virtual movie theater, up in front of him onto the seat. "I was there when Star Wars premiered," he informed the two guys, just a bit proudly. He'd kissed Harrison Ford. It was a bit of a blur though. He'd been more than kind of drunk.

('He had kissed Harrison Ford' im-)
Grace ran down the hall and into the kicthens, looking around wildly for the familiar beat up, painted, and dust scraped Boom Box. The kitchens here were actually pretty big, for a kitchen at least, so it was a while, or more like a couple minutes, before Grace finally found the Boom Box sitting pretty on a counter in the back. She smiled as she hugged it close and ran out where the Doctor was, grabbing her helmet as well. "Got it!" She said, holding up the Boom Box in victory.
"Oh that's awesome!" Kobra Kid said, smiling like a lunatic as Jet Star finally brought his attention back to the conversation. "How was it?" Kobra faintly remembered when the later movies, and the prequels, were premiering and were still in theaters, but faintly.

[[ gotta love jack harkness. ]]
"Good," The Doctor said with a faint smile, opening the door up for her, "come on, you wouldn't want to miss any of that movie, right?" He didn't think she was old enough to have ever seen one anyways. Mickey and Martha's kids only ever saw them in his ship as a rare treat, when he could be around. As they headed back to the TARDIS he shoved his hands into his pockets, only reaching out to open the door and hold it open with one shoulder for her.
Jack laughed. "Oh, I mean, the movie was fine. After party was better," he replied, with a wink. Ashildr let out a noise of disgust from where she was sitting to his right, and he turned to smirk at her. "What?" She didn't answer. "What?" Still no answer, just a near audible eye roll. "She hates me," Jack informed the two Killjoys, which earned another scoff and a slap on the shoulder.

"Thank you!" Grace said, beaming up at the Doctor as she put on her helmet and raced out of the door towards the TARDIS, hugging the important piece of tech close to her body so she didn't drop it. Not like it wouldn't survive a drop. It's been through bombings, fires, shoot-outs, hostage crises, theft, skirmishes, and more Zonerunning than all of the Killjoys combined. A measly drop wouldn't do much to hurt the box.
Kobra Kid just snorted in plain amusement as he watched the interaction, tapping his chin slightly impatiently as he waited for Grace to get back. He could faintly hear her, or maybe that was something else. He wouldn't be surprised if it was something else. This ship was weird. Jet Star itched above his eyepatch as he cocked his head, furrow ing his eyebrows slightly. "What happened then?" Jet felt heat blaze at his cheeks. "Or do I even want to know?" Jet added on quickly.

"Yeah, yeah, you're welcome..." The Doctor mumbled, closing the door behind her as she raced inside. He was gonna go and make some popcorn, find Clara, and be nice and watch the movie with his band of idiots just this once. Just this once. So, he turned, heading up the opposite staricase from the theater that did lead to the bedrooms and kitchen, disappearing down the hallway with his hands shoved deep into his coat pockets.
"Well..." Jack began, a smile spreading on his face, like he was a little girl about to tell all of her friends some big secret. "Jack, no," Ashildr slash Me slash whatever she wanted to be called said, in a tone like she was talking to some kind of overexcited puppy who was jumping on everyone and everything. Jack laughed. "Well, looks like I can't tell you with this party pooper in the room. Sorry."

Grace ran throughout the TARDIS, finding the theater room quite easily, and she congratulated herself on good memory. As she entered the theater room she slowed down to a fast walk, holding up the box to let her friends know what she had forgotten and what she had brought.
Kobra Kid looked back at her, snapping his fingers as he came to the realization. "Ah! Yes! The Boom Box! Well, can't really leave that behind." Kobra said, Grace smiling at him as she plopped down next to Jet Star, setting the Box carefully on the seat next to her, so that if any signal did go through she would hear it. She was expecting one soon, as it was more than likely once Dr. Death and his crew got back he'd do a radio broadcast explaining everything and what to do. Grace was more than excited.

"Alright, we good?" Jack asked, not waiting very long for an answer before he pressed play. The screen roared to life with the logo, making Ashildr jump, just like it always did, and the story of the first movie of the original trilogy started to scroll. Jack leaned over towards Kobra, settling his elbow on the armrest and reading along. He probably could've recited the whole thing if he'd tried, but he didn't. People who talked in movies were annoying.

Kobra Kid jumped slightly as the opening notes played, and suddenly it was like he was put under a trance as the screen displayed the words that were his childhood, telling the story of the Sith and the Rebels, and most importantly the Jedi. These words combined with this song brought back so many memories of the good times, when all they had to worry about was if the next Star Wars was going to be as good as The New Hope. It almost brought a painful tear to his eye. Jet Star was thinking the same, enjoying this movie even though he wasn't as into it as his companion was. He's seen it before, I mean, come on, who hasn't, but he still enjoyed it.
Grace was absolutely fascinated with this, her wide brown eyes reflecting each and every word on the screen. She was sure she had never seen this kind of stuff before, the only thing she had was the radio broadcasts and occasionally some music Dr. D would pop in to the old vinyl player. Music was all she had. Dr. D told her that music was art, and art could be dangerous for the BLI. And that means art... art is the weapon.
(I hate myself for making that reference)

(Okay)
It was the end of the movie, the credits were rolling, and Grace was giving a standing ovation to the movie while Jet Star continued to cling onto the - also clapping - Kobra Kid. His hands gripped at his friend's arm, pulling at his red jacket just slightly, his single eye widened and jaw hitting the floor. From what he remembered from the movie, he didn't expect something as awesome as this. He was bloody ecstatic, and almost wanted to watch it again. Not that Kobra Kid would object to that idea. It was good to see Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader once again, after being deprived of the sight for seven whole years.
"Again! Again!" Grace exclaimed, hopping up and down as she kept on clapping. She loved this movie, and although she had heard whispers of it out on the desert she never got to see it. Nobody had a copy, surprise surprise. Let alone a DVD/VCR player.

"Isn't it your bed time?" Jack chuckled, watching as Grace bounced off the walls. The Doctor had come after awhile, bringing popcorn, drinks, and Clara. The Time Lord and the girl had sat behind them, huddled together. If The Doctor hadn't just lost River, Jack would've thought it romantically cute, but he knew that right now The Doctor needed more comfort than he did romantics. "I'd watch it again," Courtney informed from where she sat. "Isn't it your bedtime?" Ashildr questioned, smirking. Courtney rolled her eyes. "I'm just sayin'."

"She doesn't have a set bed time. Nobody really does. Sleep when you can and wake up when duty calls." Kobra Kid explained, gesturing over to Grace who had now sat down, breathing heavily as her big brown eyes stared up at the screens. Kobra looked back over at Jet Star, who was still clinging onto Kobra. "Hey, Jet, could you let go please? This costed a ton of carbons, you know." Jet blushed as he ripped his hands off of his blond friend, Kobra just letting out a laugh at his companion.
"Are there more?" Grace asked, looking at Jack while she swung her legs excitedly. These movies were awesome. And for a first movie she thought she had started off quite right.

Jack sighed, but then smiled a, "Yeah, squirt. There's a lot more. Does everyone wanna watch another one." There were a bunch of affirmatives with a singular no from The Doctor, but Jack elected to ignore it. He squeezed past Ashildr and Courtney, and appeared again a minute later as the title screen was lighting up once again. This time, he just leapt over the row of seats behind his own and sat down, pushing play and throwing an arm over Kobra absentmindedly. He only realized he'd done it when Courtney snickered, but he ignored her. No use in moving it now, right?

Jet Star found himself throwing a mean look Jack's way as out of the corner of his eye he saw the other's arm be thrown around his friend. Shaking his head a little bit, he focused on the movie, and on Grace who was taking in everything before her. He smiled at the ten year old, before looking back up at the infamous title crawl. Kobra Kid was a little confused as to why Jack had done that, but took it anyway. Things a lot worse than this have been done to him, so this was nothing and something to be forgotten about.
A not-so long time ago in the TARDIS far, far away...
Once the opening notes had played downstairs in the theater, Party Poison found his eyes shooting open as his ears were alert in picking up faint, but oh-so-familiar notes of his childhood. Although drowning it out was the sounds of Fun Ghoul's light snoring from in front of him. The raven haired Killjoy lay next to Poison on the large bed, fast asleep, both of them insisting they'd stay in a singular room to avoid being more trouble than they already were. It felt nice having a bed again, and not smelling rotting corpses and plastic everytime you breathed in.
Poison sat up extra carefully, as to not wake the sleeping Zonerunner. He understood that Ghoul was extremely tired, and it was a miracle he had stayed awake for that long. Must be grateful that he wasn't taking the post of guard for once. That was Poison's job this time.
Carefully he got out of the bed, stretching his tired limbs as his ears tries once again to pick up the notes. And he did. Ruffling Ghoul's hair gently, he then walked out of the room, being as silent as humanly possible, and shut the door behind him. Without his friend's snoring he found it easier to pick up the noises. As Poison looked around, he noticed that the halls looked... oddly different. Even though he didn't really care to remember what they had looked like before, it was like they had changed while he was asleep. Definitely strange.
Poison walked down the hall to where he remembered there was the exit to the room, mostly following the sounds, and found it quite easy to navigate through and get to the main control room. Still continuing to follow the noises, he walked down another hall, smoothing down his messy bedhead with each step of the way. He soon stumbled across the theater room, and almost fell over in surprise as he saw the title scrawl along with the beautiful sounds of the infamous theme song echo throughout his ears. Poison was more than happy to see this yet again, and glancing down once he saw Kobra, Jet, and Grace sat in the crowd. With a couple bounds as was plopping into a seat next to Grace, making sure to move the Boom Box so he didn't sit on it. The rest of the movie was spent staring at the screen, not even looking at anything else. He was entranced by this, just like he was when he was a young boy seeing this for the first time.

Jack was actually getting tired by the time the second movie had ended. He was happy they were enjoying themselves (they were all adorable), but even immortals had to sleep. Besides, his arm had gone numb while draped over Kobra, and he knew that there was no way he was gonna be able to pop another DVD in with it. "Don't tell me you guys wanna watch another," he drawled, very painfully pulling his arm off from Kobra's back and stretching. He glanced over at Courtney and Ashildr. Both were awake, but tired looking. He glanced behind him. Clara was out, snoozing on The Doctor's shoulder, and the old Time Lord help up a finger for silence, smiling ever so slightly.

Even though she had been so excited, events from earlier today and the fact that this was all happening led Grace to snooze, leaning against Party Poison fast asleep. Kobra Kid yawned widely as he nodded, willing to watch another, his brother thinking the same thing. Jet Star was trying desperately to stay awake, using his friend's shoulder as a rather comfortable headrest as he yawned noisily, trying to keep himself awake. But the warmth pouring off of Kobra and sinking into Jet's toughened skin wasn't helping one bit. Wrapping his arms around Kobra's middle, he soon passed out, using Kobra as a pillow. Kobra smiled, setting his own head against his friend's and looking towards Jack.
It was then that Kobra's ears picked up on a high-pitched squealing noise. Wondering what it was, Kobra looked over at Poison to see if he knew. Poison nodded, seemingly hearing the same thing as well, and suddenly whirled his head around to look at the Boom Box, sitting on the chair next to him. He removed one of his arms to place his finger on the main volume knob, and turned it up a little bit. And yep. The squealing got louder. Must be picking up a signal! Poison said, a smile on his face as he turned it up a little more, his fingers flying over the controls to the tuners and trying to find the correct frequency. It took a little bit of messing around with other controls and a lot of static, before the one and only Dr. Death Defying's voice came through on the old Box.
"Alright children." Kobra and Poison gasped as they heard his deeper voice through the old speakers of the Box. "109 in the sky, but as usual, the pigs won't quit. The YoungBloods seem to be causing a ruckus in Zone 1 and 2, gathering rebels and dusting whatever white suits they can see. They are setting the example for us, so we need to upthrust the volume out there. Keep your boots tight, keep your guns close. And die with your mask on if you've got to. Here, is the traffic." The sound then cut to pure static, although Poison didn't mind much.
"They're back!" Poison exclaimed, waking up Grace. "Dr. Death Defying!" He said, and Grace was up in an instant, Jet waking up as well and awkwardly displacing his arms from around his friend. Kobra had his eyes widened as he looked towards the exit of the room, his bright hazel eyes excited to see the other rebels once more.

Clara jerked awake, and Courtney plugged her ears up until a voice broke through the high-pitched squeal. After that, Jack flicked the screen off, and left the room in almost-darkness as the TARDIS crew and the Killjoys all listened to the broadcast. "That mean your friends are back?" The Doctor asked from behind them, scooting a bit away from Clara as the voice cut out. Ashildr got up, popping her back and running a hand through her short hair before suggesting, "Maybe that means we should go and meet them?" "I'm all in for meeting more handsome gentlemen," Jack replied with an easy smile, ignoring Ashildr as she said blandly: "Well, of course you are." He thought he was pretty funny, she didn't, but that was okay. He didn't really care, as long as she didn't actually stop him from flirting . Then he just might die, or so The Doctor insisted. Maybe the old man was right, maybe that would be what finally broke his long, long streak of being-unable-to-die-ness.

Soon all the Zonerunners were up and put of their seats, Party Poison bidding a quick goodbye to go and get Fun Ghoul. Grace grabbed the Boom Box and hugged it close with one arm as she adjusted her helmet, the two remaining Killjoys zipping up their jackets and putting their bandanas over their mouths, Jet Star going one further and putting on some sunglasses.
"I think you’ll like these people, Show Pony and DJ Hot Chimp are pretty cool people, as well as Dr. D." Kobra Kid said, looking at Jack as he pulled up his pants just a little bit, jumping up to make the job easier. "Hopefully Poison will be back soon, he needs to get more sleep in." Kobra said to Jet, Jet nodded as he tried to calm down his crazy frizz for hair.

'Don't we all?" Jack smiled genially, shaking his head at his own joking as he began to follow the Killjoys out of the theater. Courtney and Ashildr were already up and out, as were The Doctor and Clara. Jack knew that they all liked meeting new people too, even if they weren't about to admit it. IT ws rare you got meet anyone out here, or on Earth in general.
