for me, itโs simply giving violetshine purple eyes. people whine when a cat is named after their eye color before they even open them, yet purple-eyes violetshine is incredibly common. also, it gets rid of her and twig having the same eye colors as their parents.

It feels off for me when Scourge and Squirrelflight get drawn with more white markings than just their one paw. Freckles on Squirrelflight is acceptable though.

Colorpoint Darktail.
I don't know why exactly I dislike this interpretation of him, since I really like colorpoint Finleap, Molewhisker, Blackstar etc. but I just think Darktail looks a lot better as a Turkish Van.

Giving Cloudtail markings. There's a point in the books talking about how he's lucky he's not deaf even though he is a pure white cat with blue eyes, so I guess it just doesn't make sense to me why he would be given markings.
Of course, people are more than allowed to do so. Just because I'm not a fan doesn't mean people can't draw him how they'd like!

Different eye colors than canon is certainly a thing I dislike. Using Violetshine for example as she has a more unique eye color than most main protagonists, let alone cats in general. Replacing her yellow eyes with purple. Also never liked Shadowsightโs red or the purple for Ravenpaw.
Squirrelflight crying during the fire scene, I re-read her dialogue multiple times due to how cold I imagined her sounding. She even starts this dialogue, ending with the kits line with โKill them then,โ
Thatโs all I can currently think of.

As everyone else has said, Squirrelflight crying during the fire scene. Tbh I feel like if all the MAPs and AMVs about that scene portrayed her correctly, I feel like she'd look cooler and braver in that scene.

This is not really an issue so here goes anyways: Tigerclaw never gets shown when Silverstream dies in fanart and videos despite being there during the scene in canon. Not even in the background. Probably to keep things centered on the main drama but still. I just want to see him lurking in those scenes confused at first and then getting angry upon realizing what Graystripe did. Him swiping at Gray while he is grieving for his dead mate could also make for such good "beat drop" moments.

Some people mentioned small Squirrelflight, so I'm going to throw large/chubby Shadowsight in there.
He has been described as small and/or skinny on more than one occasion, but most fanart I see of him, he's large/chubby.
The art is really cute, but I'd like to see more artwork of the cats as they're described in the books, fandom interpretations are cool, I love some of them more than the canon designs, like dilute tortie Bristlefrost, but I also find it nice to see art that accurately represents how the characters are described.

Maybe Jessy is just really short or somethin like that I guess
While I think Moonkitti's representation of Squirrelflight is really cute, I definitely never thought of her as that tiny, just average size with shorter-than-average legs

I think my biggest gripe is the absolute retelling of the entire scene where Mapleshade and her kits drown. Some even going as far as to have it so Frecklewish apparently sees Mapleshade and her kits being helped by the patrol, when that...just never happened at all. It baffles me how many misinterpretations come from Mapleshade's novella in general tbh. Like how she kills Appledusk is another example.

I remember that, I feel like people forget both Spottedleaf and Cinderpelt pretty much told Tigerclaw off at one point or another in the series, and I think it's kinda funny that it's seemingly skimmed over. |

Someone has to make a animation meme like this now with some fitting audio, maybe bleachwaffle could be good for that.
