I'm reading her in this arc, and I'm finding her an enjoyable character to read about. I think people from the fandom should put aside their hatred toward her because of how treated and judge Squirrelflight as a character as her own. I understand how some people feel because I felt the same about Ivypool but once I put that hatred for Ivypool aside because of how the fandom treated me, I really enjoyed her as a character. Squirrelflight is loyal to her clan and cares about everyone a lot, and I like how she was willing to put things right even over situations that aren't her fault. She cares about the clans a lot, and she's loyal to her clanmates. Squirrelflight is a good character.

While I personally think that Squirrelflight's behaviour during TBC in regards to keeping Bramblestar's body intact was more selfish than selfless in this regard, her love for him really is admirable. And then again, she already had enough to worry about with the return of her crazed ex so wanting to hold onto her mate no matter what is understandable as well. She's a great character overall, in my opinion.

well developed over time, sure. but i still call her a bad character bc i dont like what she's developed as and who she is overall (self righteous, antagonistic, stubborn, hard-headed, etc.)

Objectively, Leopardstar and Mudclaw are good characters from a writing standpoint - and I still hate them both
