So one of my biggest pet peeves about this series is how the clans are all like. The same. So every now and then I rotate some thoughts about how each could be different (I'm a busy person with a lot of projects so these are not by any means complete and some are obviously more fleshed out than others)
Anyway.
General:
Okay I think it'd be fun if about once a season the is a full day of a truce between the Clans with, like, controlled mingling. Borders and other territories are still to be respected, but it's a time of sharing and strengthening cross Clan alliances.
More specific:
-Much like WindClan has the moor-runners and tunnellers, ThunderClan has various Jobs in the Clan. Cats are expected to be able to do anyone else's job in a pinch, and everyone is expected to patrol, but apprentices spend their last few moons of apprenticeship learning their picked job (everything before that is Gen Ed). This includes things like Hunting, Fortifying The Camp, Nurse/Medicine Cat Assistant.
-Relatedly, each Job has a cat in charge and they are really just the senior warriors who the leader and deputy confide in for wisdom and to make sure things are running smoothly.
-WindClan is the most pious of the Clans, and as such any deputy MUST be picked via a sign from StarClan. Leaders and medicine cats have faked signs before for one reason or another, but almost all of them wait for a sign before making an announcement to the Clan.
-RiverClan has a bartering system of sorts. They collect little trinkets to decorate their dens and camp, and cats can trade one another for various things (favors, a good story, taking their place on the next hunting patrol).
-RiverClan has cats stationed at the river throughout the day to make sure no one falls in, and sends warnings to ThunderClan if there will be no one stationed there (still patrols of course but they'd rather cats not drown)
-ShadowClan has a huge storytelling culture. They gather together in the evening for sharing tongues and someone will spin a tale, be it an old legend or something wholly new. Every Clan has their own unique stories and legends, but ShadowClan uses them more than most for morality and to keep each other safe (they have a lot about eating crowfood).
-Clan holidays maybe ???
