According to the Warriors Wiki, Shrewpaw (TC), was 18 moons old when he was killed by a monster. If he was apprenticed at 6 moons, that would mean he had spent an entire year as an apprentice. In The Sight (Po3), Hollykit mentions that Daisy’s kits, Berrypaw, Hazelpaw, and Mousepaw, had been training for nearly 4 moons, and would soon become warriors. Why is there such a variance between when these cats would become warriors? Why did Shrewpaw spend so long as an apprentice compared to Daisy’s litter? Swiftpaw (TC) who was killed by dogs, was also approximately 18 moons old at the time of his death? Why is there such a big difference between them and Daisy’s kits. Hollykit thought as if it were standard for apprentices to become warriors closely after being trained for 4 moons.

Usually, apprentices become warriors at twelve moons old, if that information is still considered as correct. Some just take longer or shorter because of different circumstances. But a lot of the times it has to do with mistakes the writing team makes because of the timeline.
For example, Firepaw was made a warrior at ten moons old by Bluestar as a reward for helping to drive out Brokenstar from ShadowClan while Swiftpaw was not made a warrior, despite being older than Cloudpaw who got his name sooner than him, because of Bluestar not trusting him and most other ThunderClan cats due to her paranoia caused by Tigerclaw's betrayal.

They normally train for 6 moons and become warriors at 12 moons of age. As BҽɾɾყႦʅσσɱ said, some just take longer or shorter depending on different circumstances. In the case of Shrewpaw, his age wasn't known yet in TNP considering FQ wouldn't come out until POT. And for Swiftpaw, Bluestar just up and refused to make him a warrior. It's why he and Brightheart went out looking for the dogs in the first place.

I totally forgot about Bluestar not naming any Warriors after Tigerclaw left. Thanks for reminding me, that makes a lot of sense.

They come warriors at 12 moons though an apprentice can become an warrior later usually because failing the Warriors trial (i don't know what it is called) or just stuck on training

But only because Cloudpaw had declared he did not believe in StarClan. Something which she approved of due to her own faith in them being very shaken up at the time.

Brackenfur gets his warrior name long before Swiftpaw, even though Swiftpaw was apprenticed a good while before him and Cinderpelt. And Ashfur and Ferncloud are originally stated to be older than Cloudtail as kits, but by the time they are made apprentices, it’s switched.
