That StarClan gave the three their powers. I see this one all the time, people talking about how the three are blessed by StarClan or how Hollyleaf was cheated by StarClan or headcanons about why they chose to give the three their powers, ignoring that the whole point of the powers was that they came from beyond StarClan and had to do with the ancient cats, that StarClan had no idea what to make of them and in fact genuinely believed that Hollyleaf was one of the three at first.

because it doesn’t conform to someone’s personal headcanon of a priorly uncharacterized character. I believe sometimes many people seem to forget that just like there’s nuance and differentiating opinions and perspectives for characters among the readers, the fandom likes to play fast and loose with the term "canon", often subbing it for when they actually mean "personal but unconfirmed interpretation of xyz that i like best"

As much as I love them so much and headcanon them- Minnowtail and Mousewhisker are not mates. Minnowtail had been hyped up for so long by the Fandom, not even by the books, to the point where when I was early in the Fandom I thought she was this important RiverClan cat. Turns out she's just a basic warrior. I still see people to this day say they want Minnowstar or for she and Mouse to be revealed- and again while I love it as headcanon and I'd love it if it WAS canon, it is not canon.

One of the worst cases of "Warrior cat facts" videos making up disgusting facts and presenting it as true: That Tigerstar forced atleast 9 she-cats all across the Clans to have his kits whitout consent and that Badgerfang was one of his sons.

I could he wrong here but didn't YS play out around a similar time to BP- wouldn't Tigerstar be Tigerpaw around this point or something similar? How would this even make sense timeline wise😭

Okay, sorry for being so sudden with the comment. That was one of the "facts" you would find in those "Warrior cats facts" videos, a "confirmed fact" similar to Sweetpaw being buried alive. In many videos it was presented as true.

That Stormfur and Brook are a result of Stockholm Syndrome. Arguably that one has grounds though, but it's more like a theory and not a stated canon since the Erins never stated it themselves. Beauty and the Beast is a romantic movie, but at the end of the day it still had themes of Stockholm Syndrome, so to speak.

I remember the "Bramblebad" art thumbnail portraying it like Bramble was towering over Squirrel, and abusing her or something when it came to their relationship? So since, notably, a lot of people have pretty much portrayed him as an abusive, heartless jerk, that never cared about Squirrelflight. While Squirrel is a "girl boss" that can do no wrong and deserved better. Honestly, one of the worst eras to go through in the fandom. As a member of the "Bramblebad" gang myself I wouldn't say all of us are like that. I'd definitely disagree with anyone who raised those arguments. In my opinion Squirrelflight absolutely isn't perfect. Far from it. And Bramblestar isn't heartless. Abusive sure, but heartless no. He just didn't treat Squilf the best, it's definitely not like he just doesn't have the capacity to love. I'm not angry and I don't want to start a huge debate, I just wanted to get my opinion out there

I'm not angry and I don't want to start a huge debate, I just wanted to get my opinion out there The issue though is that people were also equating Bramblestar reprimanding his deputy for insubordination = to abuse. Which it isn't. Because if he didn't punish Squirrelflight as his deputy for her behaving like a wayward apprentice, would that just mean he's giving her "special treatment" instead, just cause they happen to be mates? Imo the abuse allegation situation just felt like a repeating circle that went no where, and a lot of the times Squirrelflight's behavior was never called out, criticized or discussed about at all. It was usually "Bramble is bad, Bramble is abusive" hence the "Squirrelflight can do no wrong" narrative that came from that side. There are many, many examples of that issue on the forums here, from past threads, where even the creator of the video themselves has also popped in a few times. They weren't pretty situations overall either, becoming so mind-numbingly toxic to the point where even people suggested banning the BrambleSquirrel discussions all together at one point, to the mods. And that was just on the forums, where there is actual moderation, on other sites, such as youtube, tumblr, or twitter, it's 10x worse. Even leading to incidents where Bramble fans were being harassed for making Bramblestar positive related content, it was a ridiculous time to go through in this fandom, and one of the biggest more nauseating fanon misinterpretations to deal with when concerning his character.

Beauty and the Beast is a romantic movie, but at the end of the day it still had themes of Stockholm Syndrome, so to speak. this i think is one of those aforementioned situations where the canon depiction can have multiple interpretations, and none of them are strictly canon. readers can choose to read their relationship as somewhat stockhold-syndrome-esque, i think, as long as they don't insist it's the only canon-compliant way to interpret it.

gray wing's fanon portrayal is nothing like how he is in the books. for the record, i'm not saying he's evil or anything. just that he's way meaner sometimes than the vast majority of portrayals i've seen ever bring up. like...dude literally watched bumble die and was thinking about how admirable clear sky was when he could've been the one to kill her. again, he's not evil. i don't think he's evil. i just wish people actually brought this up because it makes him far more interesting than just him being a "sweet wise dad" or whatever.

"dude literally watched bumble die and was thinking about how admirable clear sky was when he could've been the one to kill her." Gray Wing is still Clear Sky's brother, and there was reasons why they all gave mixed responses to Bumble's death, because no one knew the real story, and how she actually died. Clear Sky claims he didn't do it and is even noted to look horrified at the suspicion, and Gray Wing thinks he's more admirable than that, meaning he wants to give his brother the benefit of the doubt. But at the same time he's also upset, because he's aware that yes there is a possibility his brother IS lying to him. This also predates the first battle, so things between Gray Wing and Clear Sky weren't nearly as bad yet. Clear Sky was still on "okay"/neutral terms with everyone at the time, but slowly got more worse over time later in the book, and into the next one. Bumble's death was just one of the incidents that made Gray Wing begin to question his brother and what he was capable is all.

I completely agree that that part of the fandom is pretty bad and I'm fortunate to have never witnessed any of that sort of behaviour in my groups. I'll leave the discussion here as I'd rather not be pulled into a debate about a sensitive topic such as this, so I'm not going to try to change your mind and I hope that we can agree to disagree about this issue.

Did anyone say snowfurs death yet? Cuz in the book she was actually chasing shadowclan cats off thunderclan territory and everyone draws it differently. Also hate the way the fandom portrays blackstar and sol relationship. Sol was a manipulative ****.
Also idk if this counts but I feel everyone forgets that tigerclaw was there when silverstream died lol

Tigerstar being killed by Scourge because he was "off-guard" is one I hear a lot, usually coupled with the idea that Scourge used his own momentum against him to kill him when Tigerstar jumped over him.
Of course, this misconception is driven by popular fandom art portrayals where Tigerstar leaps at Scourge and is torn open by Scourge ducking under him, but this is not remotely what happens in the books.

Hollyleaf as a "girlboss". She's my favourite character, and she is absolutely not one. She's a pathetic meow meow who cries when the baby fox bites her.

Snowfur in every single fanart I've seen is portrayed as some gentle opposite to Thistleclaw, who didn't have a mean bone in her body and was just full of love and an innocent lamb as she died. People forget she once fought so hard in a battle that she was covered in blood to the point that Bluefur thought she was badly wounded, and naturally that she ended up getting killed chasing a Shadowclan patrol because she was hungry for a fight.

People owo soft boy up so many male characters, graywing, bumblestripe, crowfeather and bramblestar are the first that come to mind. Ashfur used to be a common one too but with the broken code out people have been more normal about him.
