So, this one video got recommended to me yesterday on Youtube and I thus found out about a new tier list trend for this series like it was the case with the characters and books previously. Fair warning that this will probably take some time to actually complete since there are 150+ canon and fanon ships to be sorted into their individual categories.  I realized I dislike a LOT of ships. And that I really like a lot of canon pairs. Behind the obnoxious watermarker is BriarDove, DustFern, and AlderVelvet Also, I know a lot of people don't like NightLeaf or MapleReed on this site, but I like them a lot in an AU setting. Nightcloud seemed to have respect for Leafpool prior to the secret, and I feel like they could have been nice friends who balance each other out. Likewise, I like the idea of Reedshine standing up for Mapleshade because she feels empathy for Mapleshade as a queen |

Although I'm not a huge fan of shipping "love rivals" together. The whole FeatherxNightxLeaf just seems really awkward. |

In regards to your "Who even ships this?!" section: Both BrambleStorm and TawnySquirrel are pretty old fanon ships at this point which have been favorites among quite a few Warrior Cats fans for years (I adore both of them).
HollyHazel or HollyWillow (I still ship the latter) were also at least a little known at some point due to a lot of people seeing Hollyleaf as being more interested in other she-cats than toms although these days it has become more popular to headcanon her as aroace.
AlderPuddle is lesser known due to not as many fans actually reading AVoS but there are quite a few people who also see him as gay (similar to Hollyleaf) and usually ship him with Puddleshine since he was pretty much the only tom similar to his own age he ever really interacted with on a closer level (so I ship it).
Shipping LionIce and HawkLeaf was quite common among a specific group of people back in the 2010s who did not like how canon went and wanted different ships to happen. I shipped the former for a little bit because of my dislike for how LionCinder was handled but was more among the MothLeaf crowd in the latter case back then (not anymore because I see Mothwing as aroace these days and Leafpool calling her beautiful more than once as a one-sided crush but that's just my interpretation). Although most people just thought it would have been interesting to see what would have happened if Hawkfrost was the actual dad of the Original Three (since the TigerFire prophecy could have thus also been fullfilled instead of making it about BrambleSquirrel) and not because HawkLeaf was in any way a healthy alternative to canon.

Regarding people wondering why some of these ships exist, I've seen someone shipping the FrostfurxYellowfang one, and the idea is they bond over having both lost their mates and raising Cinderpaw together, with Frostfur initially judging her (blaming her for stealing the kits) but growing to respect her.
There are some ships I've definitely seen but aren't on the list. Like WhitestormxTigerstar, I've seen two MAPs on it, or Clear SkyxPetal, which I've seen a lot of people say is preferable to the canon ships. I've also seen FeathertailxBrook, LionblazexHoneyfern, StormfurxHawkfrost, FirestarxMistystar several times, occasionally BramblestarxFeathertail, JayfeatherxFoxleap and IvypoolxBriarlight twice, and I think a bit of PinestarxGoosefeather, and I've seen WhitestormxLionheart in two or three ship MAPs. I've seen some SquirrelflightxHawkfrost and FirestarxGoldenflower too, mainly on this site. I feel like all of these ships are at least as common as some of the more weird/obscure ones on this list and should probably also be on it. Then there are ships that I know were a thing at some point but I don't see them at all now, like IvypoolxBumblestripe (this used to be really popular back when OOTS first came out), IvypoolxTigerheart, IvypoolxHollowflight, IvypoolxBreezepelt, I think even IvypoolxAntpelt was a thing, FirestarxCinderpelt used to be really popular, and then there are the main character x villain ships that used to be big but are now hated like IvypoolxHawkfrost and HollyleafxSol. Then there is JayfeatherxCinderheart (used to be really popular, more so than shipping him with Poppyfrost, and part of why people were mad at LionxCinder but then I guess everyone dropped it for his other patient Briarlight?), StormfurxTawnypelt, and HollyleafxMousewhisker, which I still see occasionally. I mean if we are including AshfurxScourge which no one does anymore, then we should include these. There are also background character ships like HazeltailxFoxleap, HazeltailxThornclaw, and IcecloudxToadstep which I've definitely seen quite a bit (I've seen IvypoolxToadstep too for that matter. And then there are the ships that are popular but they turned out to be related, like DovewingxFoxleap (actually really closely related, like he's her uncle), Hollyleaf x Ivypool (second cousins once removed, which is like less related than some ships on that list like WhitewingxBirchfall, but everyone talks about it more because they are Firekin with a prophecy, I personally think it doesn't become any more or less incest depending on how often the narrative talks about the relationship, and this one isn't that big a deal), JayfeatherxFlametail (ok, neither all that popular nor biologically related, but I've seen it a bit and since they are adopted cousins who thought they are biologically related everyone cancelled a map about them a while back).
