Jess's eyes brightened as he talked about the rouge "I knew it!" she said before looking around and then continuing to talk in a lower tone "I knew the rouges weren't bad people, my parents used to tell me all about the rouges and the outside world." she said, a hint of sadness showed in her eyes for a split second before disappearing. "Sometimes I have to wonder who's the actual bad guys.." she said. She has never trusted or liked the sanctuary and would do anything to get out.

Sebastian shrugged, "I've only ever met one. People aren't perfect so I'm sure there is some bad rouges out there. But there are also some bad people in the santuary. Rouges are just like us, they are just on the other side of the wall." He studied Jess for a second before asking a sudden question. "Your the one who is always trying to break out aren't you? I see it in the papers all the time. They never mention a name, but you seem like the type for it" He said curiously.

Jess blinked in surprise at his sudden question before fixing a strand of her dirty blonde hair "oops, I guess you found out" she said with a sigh. "But yeah, that's me, I'm probably the most hated person in the sanctuary right now, so if I were you, I would stay away from me... like most people do." she said with a slightly pained expression mixed with annoyance. Most people, once they find out who she really is, how she doesn't like the sanctuary, and is pretty much a rebel against it stay far away from her. That's how she lost most of the very few friends she had, even people she actually trusted.

Sebastian grinned and shook his head, "I've got no intention of staying away from you just because of a stupid reputation" He said lightly. Sebastian glanced back out at the people swimming. After a few more seconds he added, in a much more serious fashion this time. "Everybody's got a past and mine definitly doesn't make me want to shun you" He said seriously, then turned to look at her. "Curiousity about the outside shouldn't be considered a bad thing and I don't understand why everyone acts like its bad"

Jess nodded in agreement "yeah" she said. She was curious about his past, but she didn't dare ask him since they had just met. "I honestly think the sanctuary is hiding something from us, they shouldn't lie about the outside world and the people living there, if what your saying is true about the outside world is true, and right now I trust you way more than the sanctuary" she said honestly.

Sebastian shrugged, "I wouldn't surprise me if they are" He said thoughtfully. He looked around a bit more, thinking about the situation they were in. He definiflty knew about the outside world. He'd only just come to the santuary, the world couldn't have changed much. He glanced over at Jess. "Why are you so curious? Most people are content with having things easy. If they aren't hiding anythig from us would you still try to leave?" Sebastain asked curiously.

Jess bit her bottom lip "maybe... I don't know.." she said looking down at the ground. The only reason why she has been trying to get out, discover all of the sanctuaries secrets, is because of her parents mysteriously vanishing. If the sanctuary didn't have secrets nothing would have happened to her parents, she wouldn't be like this today. She looked back up at him "have.. have you ever had a family member or a loved one just vanish? Or leave you? With out them saying anything or explaining why they left?" she asked him

Sebastian felt something lurch inside his stomach. No. He'd been the one to leave without really explaining. Not her. His stomach felt sick at this new view of his sisters perspective. She must hate him so very deeply. Sebastian tried to shoved the sick feeling of guilt aside, but it weighed on him heavily. Suddenly, the fresh air wasn't helping him think at all. Realizing he'd been silent for almost a minute straight he answered her questions softly. "No.....but I-uh-....I know someone who had a loved one just leave. They left after trying to take her with them. When she didn't want to come they eventually just left." He said with a small frown, but managed to look up at Jess as though everything was normal. "Have you?"

Jess had a slightly pained look on her face, as if trying to fight her emotions as she nodded. She gulped and got a hold of herself "When I was a little girl my parents would tell me about the outside world and how the rouges weren't the kind of people the sanctuary tell us about. But.. one day they just vanished, without telling me anything or giving me a hint of where they went. Of course the sanctuary covered it up so it wasn't that important to anyone but me, people quickly forgot about them, thinking that they just ran away, leaving their daughter here..." she said. She paused, she shook her head she did a small smile as she looked up at him "sorry, I didn't intend on telling you a story about me" she said.

Sebastian nodded along, listening intently to her story. He didn't speak up intil she had finished. "Maybe they didn't leave at all. Maybe the santuary thought they needed to be shut up." He thought outloud. "Or, maybe they were forced out of the santuary. Maybe they found out about something outside the snatuary and were forced to leave so no one else would know. Or maybe they found out about something inside the santuary and they were kicked out. Or.....silenced" He continued to think outloud, almost forgetting about the girl beside him. This was definfitly some sort of mystery.

The last part about him saying about them being silenced gave her chills down her back, she shrugged it off though. "Maybe, I always thought they found out something they weren't supposed to know and the sanctuary threw them out or... you know.." she said, not wanting to say or think what else they might have done to them. Jess raised her head to look at a huge clock on a wall in the middle of the building. It read 3:00. She looked over at Sebastian "well looks like the guards are about to switch out.." she said. "I'm gonna go see if I can find any new information" she said as she stood up a brushed some grass off of her "your welcome to join me if you want" she said smiling as she looked down at him.

The iron rattling of the gates made Elizabeth rattle around inside of herself as well. The white walls and building around her was towering above everything nearby. She had been living on the outside since the beginning, and why she stopped to join a group now, was beyond her. She ha made it this far, why second guess herself? But why second guess this decision either? Elizabeth pushed away the thought, this should only be for a few weeks to see if she was better off here or not. Like a test almost, hopefully they let her leave if she wanted to. If not, well Elizabeth was not about to play 'nice' with them. She has her Colt Python in it's holster on her side, and if these people were smart they wouldn't try to take it away from her, Elizabeth has more than ome trick up her imaginary sleeves. She took a deep breath in before starting forward into the building, assuming a guide would be presented to her later like they said one would when she first entered. The thing that stuck out to her the most wad the lack of windows, which in her opiniom would be essential to being alerted to immediate threats, but maybe they had a good reason for doing so. Guards were crawling all over the place like it was Area 51, were they trying to keep something out...or in? Elizabeth wasn't sure but the risk was worth taking. The guards opened the doors that led to the enterance of the building, it was quite nice for a foyer in the apocalypse. Too nice...she narrowed her eyes before deciding to show herself around. She looked around and saw what appeared to be an indoor pool. Beth wasn't sure if such things exsisted anymore, well before now anyway. Many heads turned to look at her, and the state that she was in. What did they expect? She just came from out there, obviously she was going to be dirty. But instead of saying so, Elizabeth just froze like a deer caught in the headlights.

Sebastian smiled a bit and stood up, dusting off his pants. "I've got nothing better to do" He said lightly. But his heart and mind still hung heavy with the latest comversation. What had happened to Rowan when he left? The rattling of the gates caught his attention and he turned. "Hey! New comers!" He said with a bit of excitement. Sebastian grabbed Jess's hand and started pulling her toward the gates. "C'mon, lets go check them out" He flashed her a lopsided grin over his shoulder and continued forward.

Elizabeth was darting her eyes left and right to different people but when she heard footsteps from a different area she turned around and put her hand on her Colt Python, ready to use it. She gripped the handle and put her finger behind the trigger as to not shoot herself. This was the last thing she needed, people looking at her like a lion in a zoo. She narrowed her eyes in the direction of where she heard them coming from, and noticed that the people around her started slowly backing away. Obviously they had noticed that she was armed. *That's right you better back off.* she thought to herself. Beth clenched her jaw, ready for an on coming attack.

Jess was surprised when he grabbed her hand and started to pull her towards the gates. She glanced back and bit her lip before sighing "okay!" she said as she turned back to him and smiled. When they got there it was a girl and a couple other people, they who was dirty head to toe. Curiosity started to take over and she took a step forwards while other people moved away from the new girl as if they were disgusted and afraid of her. Jess looked over at the gates to maybe catch a glimpse of the outside, but the gates were already closed. A girl from the group caught her eye and she just stared at her, but she couldn't walk over to her since some guards were asking her questions at the moment, like where and why did she come here. (too lazy to delete that why this is there X3)

Beth didn't look at the guards but kept an eye on the people around her, she answered them however, "I will answer these questions when I can meet with your leader. For now, leave me alone." She hoped the guards got the idea. To make sure they didn't think of her as a threat she slowly and hesitantly removed her hand from her gun. There was a girl and a boy who seemed the most curious about her rather than frightened like the others. She kept her gaze narrowed, everyone here was very jumpy. And some seemed more naïve than the people that she had seen outside of the city. Elizabeth didn't move until the guards stepped away from her, someheading over to the opposite direction and spme staying on the main floor. Probably making sure she wasn't going to hurt anyone.

The guards glared at her before walking off to go back to their posts, one mumbling something under their breath. Jess looked over at Sebastian "let's go say hi" she said before she started to walk over towards the girl. She stopped near the girl , curiosity and excitement were shining in her eyes and she was trying her best to hide it "hi" she said with a bright, friendly smile.

Elizabeth instinctively put her hand on her holster, but felt the guards watching her. She moved her hand again slowly, and stared at the new girl. She seemed bubbly, but that was what made her feel taken aback. She cane on very strong, people don't become friends within the first few minutes of meeting. But Beth decided to be nice and say something back, "Hi." She said slowly and cautiously. You could never be too careful. What did they want though? Valuables? Elizabeth had nothing to give except for the water bottles, canned food, and a flashlight in her back pack. She looked down at her feet, realizing the state she was in when being compared to these others. They were washed and cleaned with almost new clothes. But Beth was the complete opposite.

Sebastian followed along behind Jess and stopped behind her while sh espoke to the rouge. He was curious as always, but wanted to give the girl her space. He couldn't help but wonder if she'd seen Rowan out there. It probably wasn't likely, Rowan always knew how to stay away from the others. He studied the rouge for a second noticing her jumpy nature and the way her hand would fly to her gun. The pistol was probably her only weapon out there, but she wouldn't need it in here. He finally pulled himself out of his thoughts, deciding to actually greet the rouge insteadof standing silently. "You know, nobody in here is interested in fighting. That's why most of them came her in the first place" He said in a light tone, hoping to help her relax.

Elizabeth glared at the young man standing next to the girl, "If there is one thing I've learned out there, it's never trust anyone. So don't tell me that no one in here doesn't plan on fighting. You do realize these are people right? They were and are just as bad as before this." She motioned to where she had come from. Who does he think he is? Trying to tell her to calm down. He was just wasting his breath. People are people, in this world and the last. Maybe she shouldn't be here, but maybe she should. Beth pushed the thought away, she will find out if this is the right place when she meets with someone who is in charge. For now, she should familiarize herself with what kind of people were here.

Sebastian scoffed, "Your telling the wrong person about what's out there and how 'people' act here and there. I already know every bit of that information, you probably couldn't tell me something about the outside that I don't know. But it doesn't change the fact that these people in here are defenseless and came because they'd rather not struggle to survive out on their own." He said lightly. He wasn't being rude, just being his typical all information and talk self. "I don't know about you, but coming to not fight generally means, they don't want to pick fights with new people. That doesn't mean they won't stare or talk to you"

"And you're talking to the wrong person about people. I've killed before, and not just a few people." Beth shot back. This know it all, she hated people like that. And Elizabeth wasn't bluffing when she said she had killed. Nor were they random people, she has killed friends before and people even closer to her than that. But they didn't need to know that, nor was it their buisness. Elizabeth clenched her hands into fists slowly. As the beginning of a flashback was coming on, but she fought against it. Now was not the time for regrets or guilt. She needed to focus now more than anything.

hey! might be a little poofy)
Jess listened to the two of them, she looked at the girl "that doesn't really matter, if that's a threat. These days, who hasn't killed or tried too" she said. "But enough with all of this talk, my name's Jess, what brings you here?" she asked the girl.

Beth looked over at Jess, "I've heard about this place, and wanted to see if it was what people make it seem." She replied. Hopefully this place was like how she said it was. But her worst fear was that if she stayed, she would grow soft, like the others here. And in case of an attack she won't be able to defend herself like how she would be able to now. Was that the goal of this place? To make everyone soft enough so that they can't fight back if their leaders become dictators. The lack of windows was disturbing, why don't they want the people to see the outside,

Sebastian rolled his eyes at the rouges reply, fulling agreeing with Jess. Everyone had killed someone these days, there was no surprise or intimidation there if that's what she was going for. He glanced around, it seemed everyone had gone about their buisness now, but a few still casting glances in their direction.Pulling himself away from his thoughts, he joined back in the conversation. "Well, it's definitly safe and comfortable. But not exactly my kind of paradise" He commented lightly.
(Sorry for poofing on ya'll, I'm going to be very poofy the rest of the week and I will probably only be able to get on in the mornings. Feel free to roleplay without me I can always catch up when I get on xD)

"Why aren't there windows? Doesn't that make any of you paranoid?" Beth questioned. Surely that was something they questionef if they were smart enough. But, they don't seem too bright. After all, they most likely think that killing people, and too many for her to keep track of, was something she liked to bluff about. That surely was not the case. It was all too real, and if these soft people wanted to act tough, she would let them. But if they asked for help, she would not be the one to assist them.

Jess shook her head "I've grown up here so having no windows don't really bother me" she said "they do that because they don't want anyone to see the outside world, some believe if they see the outside world they will be corrupted or something like that.." she said. "But in my opinion, if we had windows, we all would know what's out there and know it's not such a bad place as some say" she said.
