The discussion about abuse aside (since there already have been countless of them on here and elsewhere), Kate thinking that two fictional cat characters would have bullied her back in school for being awkward is insanely funny to me. She is quite obsessed with talking about two characters she seemingly dislikes rather a whole lot. This comment from BlogClan is not even that old (from March of last year) so there's that. But I guess both Bramblestar and Squirrelflight being popular in highschool AU settings is pretty accurate after all.

I don't get what's insane about this? It's a pretty funny jokey comment and I personally got a kick out of it. Bramblestar the chad jock and Squirrelflight the daddy's girl cheerleader is not exactly unfitting either. Is the implication here that Leafpool is a nerdy emo kid though?

The word "insane" is also sometimes used to convey how funny something might be. Although I might just add it on so more people do not get confused by my previous wording choice.

Just by itself, it sounded like this was some sort of weird call-out post or something. But yes, it is insanely funny, I agree.

"Let's just accept that he zigged off the path for a moment, zagged back on it, and move on."
I'm not sure why but that's the most persuasive thing anyone's ever said to get me to like Brambleclaw again after SQH.

Pretty sure Kate Cary is still simmering over the fact Vicky decided to not make Brambleclaw/star follow the same dark path as his father, or at least stay a much more morally ambiguous character. And will continue jabbing at him until the writers make him snap and become morally gray, and start making him do much more questionable acts, become more focused on self-preservation of his own clan, greedy and overall uncaring and indifferent to the well-being of everyone else. Since that’s Kate’s definition of quirky. While I certainly think that Kate has some kind of hilariously weird vendetta against Bramblestar, I'm very much doubting there will ever be a complete turnaround of how his character is presented currently in the books. Even though his portrayal was definitely not executed as consistent as they (the old editors) were probably planning it to be, neither Kate nor Cherith (the one who came up with Bramblestar in the first place) have much say in what actually happens to the fictional cats in this series. The new editors (who are now in charge of outlining the various book plots) have already messed up big time with how he acted during Squirrelflight's Hope and seeing the backlash that book got (mostly because of his behaviour towards Squirrelflight), the current editors have already been and will be more careful with Bramblestar's role in the books. Or at least that is what I'll keep on telling myself for now.

Hmm, imagine if Cherith had retired before SqH, and Kate had more control over that plotline, I would imagine it would have gone completely in a different line lol.
