Basically as the title says, who's your favourite character and what do you like best and least about them (if you had to critique something)?

Jayfeather is my favorite character.
I love how deeply attached Jayfeather gets to those he cares about, such as Lionblaze, Briarlight, Cinderheart, and Alderheart. It shows that Jayfeather might have a rough exterior, but once he warms up to that cat, he'll truly be kind and caring. I also like his sarcasm and dry humor.
I dislike how his character has been declining now, reduced to not a cranky but secretly compassionate cat, but to an outright rude, flatly mean cat. Also, there are times when his rudeness gets to me.

I adore Leafpool personally.
She was so sweet from the start to me and while her romance was cheesy, I have to admit I ate it up XD a good girl and bad guy is just a fun trope to me. And when she almost left the clans I found that I relatable. How she acted after, knowing she was in the wrong for breaking the code and immediately punishing herself felt like (at least to me) that she was taking responsibility for her actions, and she didn't go back to being a medicine cat on her own- I think- I thought it was Firestar who repromoted her. Though it always sucked how even after everything went down she was treated as a "promiscuous" cat in her death trial, when about half the cats judging her and Squirrelflight had committed the same crime Leafpool had. Which only gets worse since there's no StarClan border between the living 5 clans apparently so she could take a WindClan mate in StarClan. So like...what was the point-
If I had to critique her it'd be that she was gonna run away with Crowfeather. As much as in my head I can relate and understand and emphasize- it wasn't a good move in her situation. And no this isn't because of the badger attack, she only found out about that after Midnight told the two; but because she was quick to leave her entire life behind living only on hope and another cat, which never would have turned out well, plus, ThunderClan would have sent out patrols eventually to find her after determining her missing, which would hurt her entire clan and family. I feel if she really thought she was gonna do this that a notice could have been better. Had they kept the "sister telepathy" maybe Squlif could have gotten a few signs and slowly began to realize what Leafpool was doing. Or just have a better transition in general between "living life with a crush" to "I'M LEAVING BEHIND EVERYTHING FOR YOU LET'S GO BE MARRIED PAST THE HILLS-" it'd just make more sense to me.

My number one favorite character is Firestar.
I adore his kindness towards others and his selfless bravery. This series started with him and would not have been the same without him leaving his mark in Clan history and the fandom as an iconic cat. Some might say he is boring or that having him as a favorite is "basic" but I strongly disagree and do not care. When it comes the the relationships he formed with those around him there are so many great ones to remember as well. His rivalry with Tigerstar, his friendship with Graystripe and former one with Onestar, his motherly connections with Yellowfang and Bluestar as well as the bonds he formed with his three former apprentices Cinderpelt, Cloudtail and Bramblestar are all memorable in their own right.
I despise his completely unnecessary romantic plot with Spottedleaf after her death and how utterly disrespectful it was towards Sandstorm (despite me not really liking FireSand as a ship). His denseness (Cinderpelt) and judgemental attitude in certain situations (Bramblestar) can be forgiven and even used to help shut down anyone still labelling him a Mary Sue/Gary Stu though even if it became annoying sometimes. Not to forget mentioning how such a "perfect character" trope would usually be overall beloved and invincible in their universe something which Firestar most definitely was not.
