buy him flowers
one of my best friends is r gay, and he's got it real bad for this guy who works as a mechanic and fixed his car for him (its a real life cliche its like a bad fan fic) and they started dating a few months ago and my friend was so excited and happy, he went out and bought a bunch of flowers yesterday for their lil four month anniversary.
My friend is really camp, but the guy he's dating isn't, he's handsome but he's v stereotypically straight (actually the waitress on their first date started to flirt with him and my friend went all knife emoji he was so jealous so quickly, he's very dramatic), and i was a bit scared at first that they'd clash because of this, but no, they balance each other out, and they're a really sweet couple, they're v happy.
I wasn't sure how i felt about him at first, he's quiet and v masculine and while in a girl those are attractive to me, in a man they're warning signals, due to personal experiences. Also my friend has been tricked and hurt before by men pretending to be gay just to make a fool of him and have broken his heart, so he was very nervous about dating again.
I was sussing the mechanic out, interrogating him, like a good friend does, and eventually, he got my seal of approval. He's not a jerk, he's just reserved, v nice guy, likes big dogs, old planes and pasta. But he's not very emotional, hardly ever smiles or frowns or does anything other then neutral. Not out of nastiness or boredom, he's just stoic.
my friend makes up for this because he's very emotional and highly animated tho. So i like this new guy and im glad they're together, we hang out together lots when they're not "together". this new guy is now one of the family ive basically adopted him.
so they met up yesterday, and i was third wheeling because my friend was scared he might get jumped and wanted me to be his straight cover on the train into the city, so i parked the Lesbian t-shirts and pretended the flowers were for me if anyone asked. (We live in a small village, they're v noisy) Then we got off the train and went to the bf's place.
so we walked up to his appartment and knocked on the door and when he answered my friend just gave him the flowers and was all 'roses for my rose!'
and this guy
went so red
i swear i thought he was going to faint all the blood in his body rushed to his face at 100 miles per hours
he just stammered and blushed and i nearly died myself because it was so cute.
ive never seen this guy so much as wink or pout and here he was
as red as a tomato
it was the cutest thing ive ever seen, this muscular masculine man brought to weak and red knees by his boyfriend handing him a bunch of roses, the most cliche move to pull.
then i made myself disappear sharpish because i didn't want to infringe on their evening, but i was told the next morning that he was a big fan of the flowers and just kept saying 'no one's ever bought flowers for me before' and they basically held hands all night, and every time my friend brought up the flowers in teasing, his bf just *zoom* red again.
so anyway if ur ever stumped on how to bring a boy to his knees, buy him flowers and dominate his mind and emotions for the next eight hours, at least
