There is currently a poll up on the official Warrior Cats website that asks almost this exact question. Initially, I wanted to also make a poll on here that included all of the revised rules to choose from. But there is a limit to how many words can be used in a poll option that makes this difficult. So instead, just write your personal pick down below.
Here is the, for now, only possibly revised version of the warrior code which has yet to be established in the actual books and is still getting discussed by the characters in this series:
1. Defend all the Clans, even with your life. Your first loyalty is to your Clan, but all cats who follow the warrior code are your allies. Each Clan must ensure that no other Clan falls. (reworded)
2. Nevertheless, each Clan is proud and independent, with traditions that must always be respected. (reworded; formerly Rule 16)
3. An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win their battles, unless they are outside the code, or it is necessary for self-defense. (formerly Rule 14)
4. Elders, queens, sick or injured cats and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted to feed the elders. (formerly Rule 3)
5. A Gathering of all five Clans is held at the full moon during a truce that lasts for the night. (formerly Rule 10)
6. No warrior can neglect a kit in pain or danger, even if the kit is from a different Clan. (formerly Rule 12)
7. A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice. (formerly Rule 5)
8. The deputy will become Clan leader when the leader dies, retires, or is exiled. (formerly Rule 8)
9. After the death, retirement, promotion (to a leader status), or exile of the deputy, the new deputy must be chosen before moonhigh.
10. Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to StarClan for its life. (formerly Rule 4)
11. Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil for one night after receiving their warrior name. (formerly Rule 6)
12. A cat cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice. (formerly Rule 7)
13. A warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet. (formerly Rule 15)
14. Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats—but a warrior must always remember that all cats follow the warrior code. (reworded; formerly Rule 11 and possibly Rule 2)

I think one and seven are important, along with six. I don't think that thirteen is very important, I've never thought it was extremely wrong to want to live safe and well-fed where there aren't as many dangers

in order of importance (imo):
4 (feed elders and kits), 6 (protect all kits regardless of where they come from), 1 (clan loyalty above all else. i dont like the wording of the revised one tbh)

Probably 3 followed closely by 6. I do however thing code 3 should change to say this instead
An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win their battles, unless it is necessary for self-defense.
I don't understand why they kept in if the cat follows the code or not.

6, 3, and 12. It's sad that 6 has to be a rule rather than common sense tbh.

I'm gonna go against the grain on this one (Rule 6 would definitely be my number 1 but looking past it...) number 5! If the clans don't have gatherings they have no way of naturally peaceful interaction/updates that aren't given in a last minute, hasty rushed manner- ex: let's say ShadowClan scents a badger in their territory and SkyClan is unaware and then half a moon later SkyClan gets a badger attack. I find gatherings incredibly important especially since warriors have to "challenge all trespassers" even if they do abide by the code, they still gotta be pricks for no reason.

I'll just list the ones I think are most important in general - it's hard to choose a first
3, 4, 6, & 7

You guys are sleeping on rule 10. If this rule was never created, many prey would be wasted because they would hunt for sport.

I didn't even think of that, all the times warriors have been like "grr I wanna get my claws on something!" I wouldn't even be surprised of that outcome had that rule not been made

Probably 3 followed closely by 6. I do however thing code 3 should change to say this instead An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win their battles, unless it is necessary for self-defense. I don't understand why they kept in if the cat follows the code or not. I always interpreted the "unless they live outside the code" to mean a cat who fights dishonorably, rather than literally any non-clan cat. I'd also go with 3 for this reason.

Yeah, that makes sense but I feel that would also just fall under self-defense. Thank you for replying though^^
