The best part of starting a new arc is always the names for me. It's always fun to see what the team comes up with. ThunderClan
Bristlekit- Should have been Frostkit. Honors Bristlefrost without giving her the same name. There's also very few suffixes that work with Bristle. 2/10
Stemkit- Same opinion as Bristlekit, though there's better options for a suffix. 4/10
Graykit- Shouldn't have been named after Graystripe. He wasn't nearly as significant to Spotfur that Bristlefrost or Stemleaf were. That said, color prefixes work with virtually any suffix. He could end up with a really cool warrior name. 6/10
ShadowClan
Rowankit- Shouldn't have been named after Rowanclaw. She also looks nothing like her grandfather. I particularly like Rowan as a prefix. 7/10
Birchkit- At least he looks like his namesake. But he also deserves his own identity. 6/10
Firkit- This name feels...wrong somehow? Objectively it's a decent name, so idk why I dislike it so much. Missed opportunity to reuse Cedar, my favorite tree name. 4/10
Streamkit- I was hoping they'd use Stream again. 9/10
Bloomkit- Beautiful name. I generally prefer specific species names over the generic ones. (i.e. Rose instead of Flower or Hawk instead of Bird). But there's a certain elegance to Bloom that I really like. 10/10
Whisperkit- Please stop with the action prefixes. Whispering would have been better, though I'd prefer something else entirely. 2/10
WindClan
Songleap- I swear they pick names by throwing a dart a board. This name is proof. In what world does this name make ANY sense? Just reuse Songbird! Absolute worst name of the series. 0/10
Flutterfoot- Another terrible name! Flutter does have limited options, but there were still better choices than -foot. Flutterwing could have been nice. 0/10
Stripekit- All you have to do was add a D and it would have been a nice name. 3/10
Brookkit- Nice name. 7/10
RiverClan
Fognose- Cute, though I am reminded of Runningnose for some reason. 7/10
Splashtail- Pretty generic name. Don't hate it. 6/10
SkyClan
Wrenflight- Pretty name. 10/10
Ridgekit- Experimenting with new names is inherently risky. It rarely works out well for Warriors. This is a rare one that does. 9/10
Duskkit- ANOTHER honor name! It's objectively a great name. But he should have been named something else. 8/10
They really need to chill with the honor names.

ThunderClan
Bristlekit- 4/10. i expected it so i have no strong opinion Stemkit- 5/10. i expected this one too. Graykit- 0/10. it ruins the whole theme of the litter. screw graystripe. i dont care if he was stemleaf's grandpa. i dont like graystripe and i hate how he now joins the club of honor naming. Overall Thoughts: graykit ruins the whole theme. we already have frostpaw (pov protag) who has a sibling with the same prefix of gray-. bristle could be a stand in for stalks, since bristly stalked plants r a thing. and stem is already a part of plants. and the fact graykit RUINS THE THEME! it makes me so mad. he should have been named sproutkit or gladekit. what a waste.
ShadowClan
Rowankit- 5/10. i only rate it this high because she's not male like her namesake. i live for that mix-up. other than that, no strong opinion. i hate rowanstar but oh well. Birchkit- 4.5/10. birchfall representation (dustxfern kin rep) is much needed now a days. but again, birches are known for being silver. not brown...they failed on that department. Overall: i'm getting sick of the honor naming crap, but they did ok here.
Firkit- 10/10. the best new name on the whole list JUST because it's super unique. they should start using more unique plant/tree names like this from now on. i am expectig to see a sprucekit soon if this is any good indication! Streamkit- 7/10. unique using a common suffix as a prefix. it doesnt fit shadowclan, but it's ok. Bloomkit- 5/10. im indifferent. we've had tons of blooms and blossoms in the past. Whisperkit- 3/10. we already have whistlepaw in windclan...this is too similar to that. it's boring and over used. Overall: Shadowclan did better than Thunderclan thus far just because of the unique prefixes of Fir and Stream.
WindClan
Songleap- 0/10. horrible suffix...it makes no sense. it's just lightleap 2.0. both names suck and make no sense. they wasted a pretty prefix just to throw it in the garbage. Flutterfoot- 0/10. this is the worst offender on the list if u ask me. windclan has practically monopolized the suffix -foot. flutterfoot now makes the 4th cat in windclan. it's baffling...they also wasted a good prefix because flutter was unique until they slapped the most generic, overused suffix in his clan onto him...poor baby... Overall: they did whistlepaw's siblings so god damn dirty. this is as big a crime as breeze x heather's second litter getting stupid crap suffixes as well...windclan, harestar, im gonna have to ask u to step it up...
Stripekit- 6/10. i'm rating it high because it's unique just like whiskernose (even though whiskernose isn't the father. i'm HCing their father is slightfoot). Brookkit- 8/10. excellent! bonus points for a cat named brook being male this time. Overall: pretty unique. larkwing (and im HC'ing slightfoot) did good on names!
RiverClan
Fognose- 6/10. it's ok. i have no complaints. Splashtail- 3/10. boring and generic. Overall: meh...
SkyClan
Wrenflight- 4/10. we already had a wrenflight in TR. we didn't need another one in the main series timeline.
Ridgekit- 10/10. AMAZING UNIQUE PREFIX! next best after Fir and Stream! Duskkit- 5/10. i'm indifferent. blossomheart is old, but it's still nice to see her think of her dead brother all this time later in life anyways. Overall: Ridge as a prefix makes them the absolute winners in my book.

I’ll just do the kits as it was the only thing I paid attention too. I’ll also be looking at their descriptions more than a cursory glance. Bristlekit-Boring, expected. She’s orange and white, which makes me think of her father instead. Stemkit-Also boring and expected. Just a plain old orange tabby. Graykit-Now that I look at his description, I’m more partial to this one. He has gray spots, so his name should hopefully be Grayspots. Which is nice and I don’t remember seeing the spots suffix anytime soon.
Rowankit-Always loved the Rowan prefix. Birchkit- Would have swapped his fur color with Rowan’s to vaguely resemble a birch tree. I like the Grandpa theme, it’s less tacked on like most honor names. Especially since Birchfall is still alive.)
Firkit-Don’t care for her fur color too much but decent plant suffix at least. Streamkit- Bloomkit Whisperkit- Love all three of these. I’m also a sucker for prefixes like Bloom or Blossom in general. Whisper as a prefix is also nice but it needs specific suffices to paint the best picture. Whispersong or call would sound nice here.
Ridgekit Duskkit -Love both of these and I completely forgot Dusk was an honor name. I was just excited to see the prefix again.
Stripekit-It’s not my favorite prefix but there have been worse. Stripe is decent. He’s also a tabby which is good. Brookkit-A more pretty prefix that I’m surprised is not in RiverClan. Also just now realizing Brook is a boy along with Stripe. So nice on the typically feminine prefix being masculine.

ThunderClan
Bristlekit- 5/10 - I like that one was named after Bristlefrost Stemkit- 5/10 - I like the prefix and Stemleaf Graykit- 5/10 - Graykit and Graypaw should be best friends
ShadowClan
Rowankit- 7/10 Nice Prefix Birchkit- 7/10 I like tree names Firkit- 8/10 Such a cute name Streamkit- 8/10 I love this prefix Bloomkit- 5/10 It's a good prefix I just don't like it as much Whisperkit- 8/10 I love this prefix
WindClan
Songleap- 8/10 I like it Flutterfoot- 8/10 Makes sense, it's a cute name Stripekit- 5/10 Reminds me of this book that used to scare me as a kid Brookkit- 9/10 I love the prefix brook, and brook the cat
RiverClan
Fognose- 7/10 I love the suffix nose, haha Splashtail- 5/10 boring but not bad
SkyClan
Wrenflight- 6/10 cute name Ridgekit- 8/10 I LOVE Duskkit- 8/10. I like day and night cycle names

Bristlekit- I feel like this was expected. This kit makes me think of a dreamsicle honestly, very cute.
Stemkit- I'm not a fan of using Stem- as a prefix, but Stemleaf Jr is alright.
Graykit- His description is adorable! I will be very disappointed if they name him Grayspot, that name sounds so boring, but very likely.
ShadowClan
Rowankit- Cute! I do wish she wasn't a dark grey tabby like Shadowsight though. It would've been nice if she took after Tawnypelt or Whitewing.
Birchkit- Cute!
Firkit- I love this name
Streamkit- Ehh, there isn't many good names I can think of for Stream-? Streamwave? Streamcrash? Streamshade?
Bloomkit- It's ok.
Whisperkit- This sounds like an OC name from the late 2000's, but it's fine.
WindClan
Songleap- The name is fine, I see it like jumping ahead in a song. There are prettier options I wish they went with though.
Flutterfoot- This does not give me good visuals. He should've had his sister's suffix.
Stripekit- Basic, but fine for a background character.
Brookkit- It's alright.
RiverClan
Fognose- Cute!
Splashtail- Boring, but it's alright.
SkyClan
Wrenflight- Please stop using the exact same name for multiple characters. There are so many other options and you go with the one already given to another character. This one is my least favorite just because no effort went into it.
Ridgekit- I love it, keep trying fresh ideas Warriors
Duskkit- Aww her brother! I love it.

Ah here we go.
ThunderClan
Bristlekit - 6/10 I don't hate it, honestly, Bristle- is a unique prefix and her death was tragic. Tired of legacy names but this is okay
Stemkit - 7/10 This was the one I saw coming the most so I don't mind it, would've liked Sproutkit better but beggars can't be choosers
Graykit - (almost mispelled as Garykit) 0/10 hate hate hate that they named him after Graystripe. The last kit should've had a unique name, I hate that her entire litter is legacy naming
ShadowClan
Rowankit - 6/10 more legacy naming, here we go. At least it's used on a she-kit I guess.
Birchkit - 7/10 Only gets more points because of Birchfall, it's sweet that Dovewing still remembers her family from ThunderClan fondly even if she's in ShadowClan now
Firkit - 8/10 unique and I like it. Nothing much to say
Streamkit - 8/10 I just like it.
Bloomkit - 10/10 best name on this list. I LOVE the prefix Bloom- hopefully her suffix is unique and not -heart like the last cat with the prefix Bloom-
Whisperkit - 8/10 just- don't let them become a medicine cat and we'll be fine
WindClan
Songleap - 4/10 Her prefix was GREAT, I love the prefix Song, honestly, it's just nice, but it's a terrible suffix, there are better names out there, like Songwhistle or Songcloud. Songleap is just... boring
Flutterfoot - 2/10 These were some unique prefixes from this litter, Song, Whistle, Flutter, all pretty unique (Song less so but still), Flutterflight would've been a better name, even like... Flutterheart, this is just a bad name and I hope they don't do Whistlepaw as dirty as her siblings
Stripekit 6/10 - Y'know, this could've been Graykit's name if you wanted to name him after Graystripe
Brookkit - 8/10 Give Brookkit a good warrior name Erins
RiverClan
Fognose - 6/10 Meh
Splashtail - 4/10 please stop using -tail as a suffix it's worse than -heart at this point
SkyClan
Wrenflight - 9/10 I love -flight as a suffix and this name actually makes sense
Ridgekit - 9/10 unique and I like it
Duskkit - 8/10 it's a nice prefix, honestly

Bristlekit, Stemkit and Graykit - I love all three names and I'm chill with honor names being used.
Rowankit and Birchkit - I LOVE them!!! I'm so happy they're named after Rowanstar and Birchfall!!
Firkit, Streamkit, Bloomkit, and Whisperkit - Love them all, especially Firkit and Whisperkit.
Songleap - It's pretty. I like it.
Flutterfoot - Eh, admittedly not really a fan of this one, but it's not bad.
Stripekit - I'm not a fan of Stripe as a prefix, but I hope he gets a cool warrior name.
Brookkit - Brook, on the other hand, I LOVE as a prefix, so I'm happy about this one.
Fognose - Cute
Splashtail - Just a nice, simple name with a prefix that I love
Wrenflight - Good name, I like it
Ridgekit - Very interesting prefix that I really like, but whatever suffix she gets will end up making or breaking it for me lol
Duskkit - Pretty! I'm glad Duskpaw has a namesake now.

Potentially unpopular opinion, but I don't mind body suffixes, if it makes sense for a descriptive prefix. E.g. if Bristlekit's warrior name was Bristlefur, or Stripekit was Stripetail, that works for me. I don't think it makes sense for names like Flutterfoot and Splashtail.
I also don't think noun prefixes must be reflected in the cat's physical description. A few times now I've seen complaints that Birchkit isn't silver and Rowankit isn't red/brown. That's kinda strange to insist kits can only be named after nouns the same color as them. Their names are also incomplete -- a suffix like Rowanshade would make perfect sense for a dark gray tabby, or Birchleaf for a brown cat.
I am fine with most of the kit names. I'm not a fan of Bristle or Stem as prefixes in general, they're kinda clunky. The tree names are all adorable imo. Most honor names are after cats who died heroically or whatever, but these feel more like loving gestures to kin rather than making a statement.
Songleap is a really awful pairing, what were they thinking? There are a bajillion suffixes that would actually make sense with it (breeze, feather, light, whistle, even ear). Warrior names over the last few arcs have gradually become increasingly abstract, and I don't care for it.

Yellowfang was named before her teeth started yellowing, she was just named Yellowkit, her eyes are orange and her pelt is gray, they didn't really have a great reason to name her that she just was. Names don't always need to match descriptions and imo they're funner if they aren't

ThunderClan
Bristlekit 8/10 I wished for one of Spotfur's kits to get named after Bris and like this prefix Stemkit 8/10 once again I hoped for one of the StemSpot kits to be named after their father and like it Graykit 8/10 now I want a Graykit/paw in every Clan and for Graypaw and Graykit to be friends
ShadowClan
Rowankit 10/10 in honor of Rowanclaw (Tigerstar's dad) Birchkit- 10/10 in honor of Birchfall (Dovewing's dad) I think/hope Firkit 10/10 loving all of the tree names for ShC Streamkit 8/10 I just love it Bloomkit 9/10 I adore this prefix for some reason Whisperkit 10/10 lovely
WindClan
Songleap 7/10 can be described as the sound of wind either growing louder or ebbing away Flutterfoot 6/10 cute but Flutterwing would have been better Stripekit 5/10 it's fine Brookkit 10/10 that's a good one
RiverClan
Fognose 0/10 big nope from me Splashtail 7/10 could have had a better suffix but oh well
SkyClan
Wrenflight 8/10 solid Ridgekit 10/10 I'm digging it Duskkit 10/10 finally another one since poor Duskpaw

But we do have plenty of cats like Eaglewing, Cherrytail, Stonewing, Plumstone, Toadstep, etc who are named after objects/animals but clearly do not share any physical resemblance to their namesakes. Like yeah sometimes a prefix is inspired due to color resemblance (usually white cats) but it's far from the norm. So I don't get why people hold the opinion that a few specific prefixes must be used in reference to pelt color.

I don't get having hard and fast rules for naming. There's always exceptions. This is also the first I've heard of people hating body part suffixes. They generally make the most sense.
I personally dislike the trend as of late towards really over the top names. Songleap, Shadowsight, Harelight etc. If a character already has a unique or interesting prefix, then they don't need a unique suffix. Sometimes it works out great like Rosepetal or Sunbeam, but they often fall flat. But the opposite happens too. Sparkpelt fits these rules, but is a terrible name. Sparkstorm breaks the rules, but is a great name. It truly comes down to the individual prefix. That is the most important aspect of a warrior name. If you have a bad prefix, then a suffix isn't going to do much.

Bristlekit - Sounds tense. Name this child Bristlefur as an adult and it's like being name 'Angry'. Kinda cute though. Stemkit - I really love it when characters are named after characters. Also Stem is just. Adorable prefix. Graykit - We need more cats with color prefixes so good. Give me plain names like Graypelt and Blackfoot. Rowankit - ... I like when characters are named after other characters. c: Rowan reminds me of LOTR I always want to say Rohan. That is all. Birchkit - Not wild about the name Birch- but I like the sentiment of being named after grandpa. Firkit - Extremely adorable. Name hims Firfur please I beg your warrior cats editors. Streamkit - I automatically feel this is a RiverClan cat, not a ShadowClan one, but it's pretty and very classic sounding. Bloomkit - It sounds cute but I can't picture a good suffix. It just feels awkward to add a suffix too. Whisperkit - Cute. Might be awkward to suffix also. Whisperheart, name it after a favorite ghibli film. Songleap - I don't mind it but it's a bit odd. Flutterfoot - Super cute 10/10 name would steal for an oc. It is weird, but I like weird sometimes. Stripekit - Don't like 'Stripe' as a prefix. Brookkit - Very cute. Fognose - Also very cute. Splashtail - It is generic as OP said. But I like it, it's just. RiverClan name. Super RiverClan. Wrenflight - Beautiful. Ridgekit - I like this one and would use it. Duskkit - Alright. Not wild about Dusk in names.

I'll be adding what I think their full warrior names should be as well.
ThunderClan
Bristlekit- Even though this was expected by literally everybody, it's nice to see it. Nice tribute to her old friend Bristlefrost. I would call her Bristlefur. 8/10
Stemkit- Again, most people expected a Stemkit due to his father's untimely demise. Stemheart is a nice name. 8/10
Graykit- I don't think it was totally necessary to have a kit named after Graystripe but I don't hate it. Grayspots is what I'd call him. 7/10
ShadowClan
Rowankit- I LOVE that she is named after Rowanclaw, her grandfather. I'd call him Rowanheart. 8/10
Birchkit- It is really cool that he is named after her grandfather, too. Neat for a litter of two. I'd call him Birchfur. 7/10
Firkit- I don't really like the prefix. Firclaw seems like a decent name. 3/10
Streamkit- AWESOME prefix. Streamleap is a solid name. 10/10
Bloomkit- Good to see this one again. Bloomheart again. There are four Robinwings, there can be two Bloomhearts. 8/10
Whisperkit- It's...odd. I don't like the way it looks. It's not garbage though. Whisperwind. 4/10
WindClan
Songleap- Songheart would've been better. 5/10
Flutterfoot- Gross. Flutterwing was right there. "Foot" as a suffix is just gross for the "Flutter" prefix. 0/10
Stripekit- Nice name. Stripefur. 8/10
Brookkit- Very nice. Brooksong. 9/10
RiverClan
Fognose- Kinda weird but not too bad. 7/10
Splashtail- Very nice. Vibrant prefix mediocre suffix. 8/10
SkyClan
Wrenflight- Boring bird naming. Would've called her Wrentail or something. 7/10
Ridgekit- Meh. Ridgefur. 4/10
Duskkit- Yay! Not only is it a good way to honor his dead uncle, "Dusk" is such a great prefix. Duskfall. 10/10

ThunderClan
Bristlekit, Stemkit - Given the utter tragedy and trauma Spotfur has been through, I think these names make SO much sense. They're cats whose loss has had a very strong effect on her, and she wants to honor them. Are they creative? No. But they're probably meant to feel like she is continuing the legacy that Bristle and Stem never got to. I'm not giving these a rating. I think they're fine and justified
Graykit- This one is a bit off? Graystripe is a GREAT cat, who did a lot in TBC. I feel this should have been like...a second Blossomfall litter or something. But I guess Graystripe is this kit's great-grandfather so...eh. Another name I'm not rating.
ShadowClan
Rowankit- I personally am thrilled Rowan is getting a kit named after him. Her not looking like him is the bigger issue, but I like the p1refix 8/10
Birchkit- I like the prefix Birch, but it feels weird naming a kit after a cat who is still alive and kicking? Idk.
Firkit- I like this name a lot. 9/10
Streamkit- I also like this prefix. 9/10
Bloomkit- 10/10. I really like soft, pretty names
Whisperkit- I like the prefix Whisper. I think it's cute and unique. 9/10
WindClan
Songleap- I think Songleap is an adorable name. 10/10
Flutterfoot- It's kind of silly, but I also think it's cute. 7/10
Stripekit- Boring. 1/10
Brookkit- Another very pretty name. 9/10
RiverClan
Fognose- It's pretty cute, but I'm neutral. 7/10
Splashtail- I like seeing a very Riverclan name, personally. 9/10
SkyClan
Wrenflight- It's really pretty. 8/10
Ridgekit- I like it. Works well for Skyclan. 9/10
Duskkit- I really like this name. 8/10
So, I actually like most of the names
The kits are kind of hard to judge though, as it's just a prefix. I'm excited to see what names they'll get later in the series.

ThunderClan
Bristlekit- 6/10 - I was never a fan of the Bristle prefix to begin with, it's a tough one to come up with a decent name for. But I really wasn't expecting Spotfur to name one of her kits after Bristlefrost, so it caught me off guard and made me a bit more emotional than I had expected.
Stemkit- 5/10 - This was a totally expected name, but it's another prefix that doesn't come with many good suffixes. I'll like it more if they can come up with a good one.
Graykit- 5/10 - It's a pretty basic name, and while there are a lot of great suffixes for it, I'm still not the biggest fan of the color names unless they're paired with a really good suffix. I did, however, get super emotional about this one being named after Graystripe - it hit me completely out of the blue and I did tear up a bit lmao.
ShadowClan
Rowankit- 7/10 - It's a good prefix, not super overused, has plenty of available suffixes. But I didn't exactly like Rowanstar that much, so.
Birchkit- 9/10 - I love that Dovewing named one of her kits after her father, who's still alive. I know a lot of people don't like the honor names, but I love this one.
Firkit- 8/10 - Awesome name, but I'm a bit skeptical about the possible suffixes that can be paired with it, so I'm holding out hope for a good one.
Streamkit- 7/10 - This is a good one.
Bloomkit- 9/10 - This is an awesome name, can't wait to see what it becomes once Bloomkit's a warrior.
Whisperkit- 10/10 - I find this a beautiful name. I love it. (I know people don't like the action names, but I love this one).
WindClan
Songleap- 3/10 - Song is such a pretty prefix, they could've done so much with it, and they chose this. At least "Lightleap" sounds pretty. Songleap is just... meh. It doesn't work.
Flutterfoot- 8/10 - I really like this name. It's pretty.
Stripekit- 4/10 - I can't really imagine what they might use to make this a good warrior name, but it's unique, so I'll give it that.
Brookkit- 9/10 - Love it. Beautiful name with plenty of possibilities.
RiverClan
Fognose- 6/10 - It's pretty good.
Splashtail- 2/10 - Splash is another one of those prefixes that had a lot of potential, and they chose to pair it with "tail"? Sorry, I'm really not into this.
SkyClan
Wrenflight- 3/10 - It's a nice name, but it's been used before.
Ridgekit- 10/10 - I love it. Love, love, love it.
Duskkit- 9/10 - Another great prefix, plus it's nice that Blossomheart is remembering her dead brother after all this time.
