"There can only be one winner for each of the competition categories, and we're delighted to share hearty purrs of congratulations to Catriona (first place, Under 13s) and Bryce-Waterfeather (first place, 13 and over)!" - Warriors Official Site
That's right the official winners are as follows...
1st Place for 13 and Under: Catriona
1st Place for 13+: Bryce-Waterfeather
BUT, it appears that Vicky couldn't just settle for first place.
As follows second place...
"More deafening purrs to Lumina and Abby, who took the second places in each category. Lumina’s story featured Whitestorm demonstrating the qualities of compassion, judgement and courage which have kept him as one of the most popular warriors. Faced with loners desperately gathering herbs for their sick companions, Whitestorm allows them to take just enough, with a stern warning to stay out of ThunderClan territory from now on. Swiftpaw and Brightpaw are disappointed to miss out on a fight, but Whitestorm reminds them: “The noblest and most honourable warriors only fight when they have to. It is one of the most important lessons you learn when becoming a warrior.” I can absolutely picture Whitestorm saying this, so well done, Lumina, for capturing his character so accurately." - Warriors Official Site
"Abby’s story, placed second in the 13+ category, also centred on Whitestorm showing compassion to a stranger in need of healing herbs. But this stranger had a name many of us will recognise: Bone, Scourge’s deputy. “The massive black-and-white stranger whirled on Brightpaw, a growl rumbling in his throat as she scrambled back. His ragged pelt clung to his shoulders, and from his jaw dangled several tansy stems. Despite the purple collar that hung from his neck, he was clearly no soft kittypet. He loomed closer, and Brightpaw squeaked in fright.”" - Warriors Official Site
Following in Second place...
2nd Place for +13 Division: Abby
2nd Place for under 13 division: Lumina
BUT THATS NOT ALL!
Here's third place!
"In third place, special purrs go to Jocelyn in the Under 13 section for her sparkling story in which the revelation of the herb-thief made me laugh out loud. The cats are baffled by the unfamiliar creature munching on the catmint, “the size of a sheep, with short, stiff, gray and white fur, and black hooves.” After a few puzzled moments, Fireheart recalls seeing them before when he lived in Twolegplace. “What were they called…? Goat!” Fireheart yowled suddenly. “It’s a goat!” This was a great example of a story in which there was no earth-shattering action or mystery, but I was completely taken in by the charming scene." - Official Warriors Site
"And in the 13+ category, Courtney won my heart with her sensitive and gripping story about a lone queen named Pebble who is desperate to fetch herbs for her sick kits. The Clan cats are baffled by her lack of scent, but Whitestorm agrees to help the kits and they follow Pebble to her makeshift den: “There were four kits, mewling weakly. There was a pile of herbs in front of them, and beside them, the dead body of their mother. They turned to look at Pebble, but she was gone.” A beautiful example of a ghost story, deftly told." - Official Warriors Site
