If you could bring back any character to impact the story, who would you bring back, and how would you have them impact the story?

Mudclaw so he can laugh about Onestar's leadership. Honestly, I feel like Firestar would know how to handle the more recent situations. I would bring back Feathertail because I love her but I don't know how she would impact the plot. Assuming that this is talking about dead characters and characters that aren't in the story anymore

Snowtuft. He would have been the first Dark Forest cat to join StarClan.

Berrynose so he can reclaim his rightful claim to ThunderClan's leader rank

Graystripe, because I want to watch the world burn.
Nah, probably Hollyleaf. She deserved better. I'd make her leader, she's learned by now that the warrior code isn't the only thing that's important, and that breaking it isn't necessarily bad. That was her biggest flaw, her blind following of the code. Now I think she'd make a good leader.

Tigerstar! So he can be a menace to (Clan) society for another four arcs until getting permanently killed off once more only to return repeating the process all over again on an infinite loop.

I despise the notion of resurrecting or bringing back previously deceased characters. But I suppose if I could bring back one, it would be Cinderpelt, so I wouldn’t ever had to put up with Cinderheart. I strongly agree with the first part of your post. I remember being so glad when Tigerclaw finally died, and then being so annoyed when he came back. I also hated the fact that Ashfur came back and made TBC POT part 3, but at least POT had good character moments for more than just the protagonists and a few cats in their families. I don't think TBC is that badly written, and it had a lot of interesting elements but I just hated the direction they took it, I think it could have been much better if they had focused more on the code, and less on annoying romance stuff, and I wish they would have picked a villain that would have better reflected that. That's just my opinion though, everyone is entitled to their own, and this thread isn't about how much I dislike TBC, so I'm going to stop this post here lol.

Honestly I was able to dismiss the fact it was Ashfur they brought back, but even with pushing that aside and disregarding all the inconsistencies and in-universe rule changes and such………. everything felt inorganic, stilted and “forced” majority of the time, and most times was completely predictable, and kind of long-winded and redundant with them going in circles reiterating the same points of the story repeatedly. I’ll commend them for the new elements and premise, and having the guile to approach a horror genre storyline………. But at the same time it feels very watered down for the sake of the younger audience, so it’s not too frightening which frankly defeats the purpose of horror??. Personally, I think TBC would of benefitted immensely being written for YA or heck even an Adult audience if they actually had some experience handling the genre and can make it suspenseful and thrilling enough, though considering the umm… sensitivity of this fandom, there would probably be some backlash for attempting something remotely on that scale….. and making your villain so transparent and predictable that almost everyone knows who it is after the 1st or 2nd book in a 6 book trilogy is usually not a good thing. But I’ll give them kudos for trying.

Mudclaw, Beetlewhisker, Feathertail, Foxleap, Toadstep, Icecloud or Cinderpelt. But's less of me wanting to bring them back, and more of me wanting them to stay alive for the sake of the plot over being unnecessarily iced.
I wanna add Rowanstar, Dawnpelt and Berrynose too.

Toadstep, not necessarily for the plot but just so he could live a long happy life.

Technically she's still alive(at least as far as we know), but Sleekwhisker. Though that's probably just me wanting to see more female villains other than Mapleshade...

Tbh I wouldn't want any of my favorite characters to come back because there's a good chance they might get ruined by the Erins. I agree that Snowtuft had so much potential--he was thrown away too soon. I would love to see him have the happy ending he wanted.

Uh. Can we just have Tigerheart die in Dawnpelt's place?
Dawnpelt (to become Dawnstar) or Rosepetal (To eventually be Rosestar)

Less bringing back but more would've wanted to keep Snowkit alive. It really, really frustrates me that the only deaf cat we have in the series gets killed off early and has his death used as a means to forward some other cat's development. It would've been cool to see how he would have impacted Clan culture, and having a different disabled cat in the spotlight who might have had a refreshing perspective from Briarlight and Cinderpelt, who were just endlessly compassionate, and Jayfeather, who's a snarker, would have been nice. This especially would be interesting in that his way of communicating and thinking could be vastly different from the others as he would not be able to hear them speak to him.

I'm not a big fan of Tigerheartstar so I want to bring Blackstar back just to see what he would've done differently Blackstar ruled with an iron paw. I don't think it would have ever even got that bad under his leadership, if we're talking AVOS. Given he just kills traitors....
