I'm always wondering how these dragons eat when there's like hundreds of them and they're all the size of houses. In the series it's shown that humans are incredibly small. They easily fit into the palm of a dragon's hand or on top of their heads. Judging by these descriptions, I've always had the implication that humans are relatively small compared to the cast. I imagine, say, the size of a small kitten?
With this in mind, why on earth am I hearing things like Clay comfortably dining on a single cow, or Arctic munching on hawks? And somehow Darkstalker ate a strawberry instead of accidentally inhaling it or something. These thoughts are plaguing me. How much do these dragons eat? Do they farm their food? I've only seen these dragons hunt. There's tons of these massive dragons surrounded by a bunch small food. In order to get a single meal a dragon would need to hunt around three elephants, and that's only for one meal. Can you imagine a family of Mudwings converging upon a single forest for thanksgiving dinner??? No life would be left in that place once by the time they leave.
I'm a nitpicker and I know it, but surely someone else here must've wondered how the existence of all these dragons hasn't somehow created a global mass-extinction event, or that the food is either way too big, or humans are far too small.

I guess the food matches up to their size? But yeah dragons are massive lol.

Tui already confirmed that the animals in the dragon earth are bigger than our average animals. Yeah dragon earth this is not our planet to begin with. If animals were the size of ours it would be an extinction just like you said. Even farming takes its time.

I think a blueberry was also once described to be the size of a humanʼs head, so I suppose that most animals, fruits and vegetables are simply larger than in our world. It's a completely different world after all.

omg I forgot about this thread
The animals and vegetation being larger than earth's makes sense, but now I'm wondering how the medieval-era human race managed to farm cows the size of houses? Or maybe after the Scorching, the food started to grow?
Maybe the food is all animus-touched??
