How do you feel about her? Do you think she was right to be redeemed? Personally, I would've liked it much better if she stayed "evil". Her telling Clear Sky he was a hero was a little disturbing, too.

Honestly don't like her. People complain about Breezepelt's redemption being forced when Star Flowers, imo, was 10x worse. The fact that she only got redeemed caused she got with Thunder's dad was pretty gross and unnecessary. And honestly, she would have made a much more likable and interesting villain.

I really don't like her. I recently reread DoTC and it made me love Clear Sky, who I previously hated, but it also made me dislike Star Flower even more. She doesn't even seem like a real character to be honest, and she didn't deserve her happy life after everything she did. I understand that she was fiercely loyal to her father (her loyalty is actually the one thing that I like about her, she was super loyal to One Eye and now she's super loyal to Clear Sky), but the things she did were still really disgusting and she never faced any consequences.

I love her. While she would have been interesting as a villain, I like her for what she is now.
I like her redemption, yet how she maintains her wily, self-assured, flirtatious ways instead of just becoming your typical nice cat. She cares for Clear Sky selflessly and is very loyal to her Clan, even refusing to eat when starving just so no one else, especially young Alder and Birch, wouldn't go hungry.
She is definitely very loyal, but still a cat who can stand on her own four paws--she chided Clear Sky to make peace with his mother, she left her kits to teach the Clans battle moves and seemed to be one of the few cats who treated Micah with kindness and gratitude. All in all, she's not perfect, and her redemption was a little rushed (considering she only had about two books to do so, lol), but I have a lot of respect for Star Flower, for being willing to see past the cats who have murdered her father, and for being a better, truer cat to them, yet still upholding her proud, cunning attitude.

Still hate Star Flower's redemption and would have preferred her as a full on villain instead of getting with Clear Sky and excusing his horrendous behaviour further by glorifying his terrible actions. Calling him "a hero" and such. It's just gross.

star flower and clear sky will always have the worst "redemptions" in the series. it was rushed and non sensical to me. adding on that star flower excused and justified clear sky's horrible actions as him being a "hero" only makes their redemptions together WORSE. in the last book of DotC, i was cheering when clear sky was crawling to others for help and no one wanted to help him. it was pure karma!

I haven't finished DoTC, but from what I've read from The Blazing Star I think she's awful. I still like her though, mostly because of how weirdly she's written.

Just. I wish she'd stayed a villain and not gotten with Clear Sky, or even more interesting, converted Clear Sky to be a villain with her.

She's the perfect example of the idea that villains don't always need to be redeemed.
I've always disliked that she became super loyal to Clear Sky, as if he needed yet another mate. She would have been more interesting if she stayed a villain.

I like her before she got with Clear Sky. I didn't finish DoTC but when she was using Thunder for information and it turns out she is the daughter of One Eye it was shocking and brilliant but then after they killed One Eye, Star Flower went after Thunder's father and keeps on excusing everything that Clear Sky did in the past which imo is annoying. They could have made her a villain and imo it would have been a better path.

Looooove her forever. She's such a fun character. As for her being redeemed, yeah, I also would've preferred it if she had been a straight-up villain, but I'm perfectly fine with what we got in canon too. I love all of her post-redemption scenes and I'm always hoping to see more of her in the books. I really hope we get the details about the second SkyStar litter one day.
