Yooooo
EDITS:
I'd like to try a roleplay in this style:
- Abbreviated - Instead of action-by-action, we go play-by-play style, where only the most important things that happened are noted in a more omniscient POV style. This allows the roleplay to move faster and get more actions done. Kind of like the history of a Clan games, but not quite that fast and with a little more detail. We can choose to each have our own set of characters/Clans, or simply control the entire Clan in turns.
lmk if you're interested in trying this style of roleplay with me! I'm open to trying this for a long-term or short-term arrangement; if you only have time for a few days/weeks we can roll with that too; I just want to get a good beta-test of this idea!
(Four example plots. More conversation starters than anything. Feel free to suggest your own.)
- The Clan(s) have recently settled in a new territory after their old one had been destroyed by twolegs expanding the city. The new land is much more removed from twolegs, but is filled with new dangers, as well as constant disputes over the new border.
- A not-so-small group of cats (from both Clans) decided to leave the Clan life and create their own group after being dissatisfied with the way the Clan(s) were being run and the constant petty skirmishes. Tensions arise as the leaders struggle with morale and a split between the cats that sympathized with the leavers and those that felt their actions were betrayal.
- A group of starving loners takes refuge in the land close to the Clan(s) territory. Once they are told of the Clan(s) borders, they are respectful of them and haven't crossed or stolen prey since. But that doesn't mean the Clan(s) are happy with their new neighbors, who bring illness and other potential dangers to their home.
- Illness sweeps over the Clan(s), decimating their strength. Those that survived are left weakened and the spring thaw is still distant. Do they survive? Or will they crumble?
Some notes in bullet form so I get everything down:
- 1-2 people; I'd prefer a 1x1 so that it's easier to keep up, but if we find a trio that meshes that works too
- A full-Clan rp; you play half, I play half. I like lots of characters each with their own subplots. (maybe multi-Clan?)
- Romance NOT the focus; I don't mind doing a cute romance plot inside of the roleplay, but not the overarching plot.
- Activity; I would love to have someone that could do a post a day, even if they're short or just checking in.
We can do the roleplay in three different ways:
- Normal rp - Back and forth, the usual style.
- Abbreviated - Instead of action-by-action, we go play-by-play style, where only the most important things that happened are noted in a more omniscient POV style. This allows the roleplay to move faster and get more actions done. Kind of like the history of a Clan games, but not quite that fast and with a little more detail. We can choose to each have our own set of characters or simply control the entire Clan in turns.
- Disconnected - Most of the roleplay is told in separate narratives, where only a few scenes are roleplayed back and forth. This will work best if we each control a single Clan, and then roleplay only the interactions between the two (gatherings, borders, ect), where the rest of the "roleplay" inner-Clan drama is told either in short-story-esque form, or in the abbreviated style. I'd recommend this for writers; it won't feel like a roleplay most of the time, but it lets you have more control over your own Clan's narrative and allows for periods of activity and inactivity more easily than the other two.
