I’m talking about the most complex characters that display the best and worse traits of what it means to be human. I know they are cats, but they are basically people in cat bodies. These are my picks: Needletail, Hollyleaf, and Dovewing

You could make a case for a lot of characters, but the ones that come to mind are: Yellowfang, Pinestar, Crookedstar, Tallstar, Sharpclaw, almost any cat from Dawn of the Clans

ashfur is probably the most realistic villains wise, mistystar is a very complex and well rounded character to me and me only, and feathertail (in her graphic novel) is also pretty realistic and human. leafstar and onestar also stand out to me, but for very different reasons.

Dovewing, for sure. People say she's annoying but she displays a lot of humans traits imo. Unlike characters that seem just purely fictional. Also Rootspring and Crowfeather.

Definitely agree with Dovewing too. It's the reason why I love and relate to her so much.

While there’s plenty that encapsulate both the brighter, positive and dark , sinister and disturbing side of the human psyche. Here’s the ones that stand out to me the most.
Mapleshade( She’s a horrible possessive, sociopathic manipulative POS and honestly I love her as a villain for it). Thistleclaw(Lost count of the amount of his “type” I’ve had the displeasure of meeting in my day, but gotta say he’s pretty accurately portrayed) Rainflower, Sandgorse, Lizardstripe(gotta put some awful parents on this list).
Dovewing(Annoys the hell out of me majority of the time, but I’ll admit she’s realistic), Ivypool, Berrynose, Squirrelflight( Pre-AVoS Squirrelflight, beyond that she’s to flippant and just sporadic and everywhere I don’t know what to think) Ravenpaw( for all the anxious, introverts that undoubtedly relate to him, he’s spot on realism), Brambleclaw( Pre-AVoS mostly), Crowfeather( that poor estranged, bitter angsty boy, life’s been dirty to you). Crookedstar and of course are boi Jayfeather, couldn’t complete a list without him(another case of Pre-AVoS, since most of his soul and character has been sacrificed AVoS and onwards).

I'd actually pick Squirrelflight. I think she's a very realistic, flawed and consistent character, everything she does makes sense. She never feels out of character. And she's not perfect either. We see her bad and her good sides.

Onestar is actually pretty human.
Mudclaw's rebellion and Smoke make him descend into paranoid madness and he feels desperate to prove himself

Leopardstar, character who have both usually incompatible traits as arrogance, meanness, rigidity, ambition, heroism, mercy and the ability to repent, and her both moral fall and redemption for were the one of the most memorable and touching in Warriors.

Onestar, character who could be a hero like Firestar, but met with a harsh reality, and even though he stayed on the side of good.

Needletail is the embodiment of a rebellious teenager who made bad choices and paid harshly for them.
Crowfeather is just so incredibly flawed while still being a good person and heart.
Rowenstar because people irl can actually fail at being a leader very badly.
And even though I don’t like him, Onestar is very human(ly flawed). He looks out for himself first like a lot of people would do even if that means comprising his morals. Plus lots men who aren’t expecting to be fathers abandon their kids.

I'd say Crowfeather. All he goes through and the way he sees the world around him I feel is super interesting. Plus he's the only cat who makes the attempt to off himself and he does so because he feels he'll never feel happiness if not with Feathertail. Which- in his life? Feels super upsetting and scarily realistic. Honestly he's surreal to me. I feel he's very human to me.

The cats I consider the most human are Ivypool, and Blossomfall. They both are jealous over their sister and want the same attention their sister gets so they both went to the Dark Forest to try and get some attention from their clan mates.
Brightheart she has an injury on one side of her face making her very self conscious of herself. When Cloudtail started hanging around Daisy, Brightheart got very jealous.
Nightcloud she has a mate who's distant from the family so she does her best to try and keep her kit happy.
