I got this idea after I saw the "fandom's favourite characters" thread, but what ships do you think the fandom likes the most? TallJake, RavenBarley, BlossomIvy, and Mothpool come to mind, possibly even FireGray and FireSand. Oh and GraySilver though I haven't seen many shippers lately. I probably forgot some though.

TallxJake, RavenBarley, FireGray, MothPool, JayxKestrel, LeopardxSunfish, RiverGray and basically any other LGBTQQIP2ASS Pairing or individual gets a significant amount of attention due to a large portion of the community being as such, and having a tendency to leap at the slightest inclination of representation( this post is entirely observational, and not intended to be slanderous or homophobic, so please don’t take it as such or me for it.)

SquirrelBramble obviously. Nobody can stop talking about it. /s But more seriously, idk, shipping has changed a lot and I don’t pay a lot of attention to it. I remember CrowLeaf, AshSquirrel, and BrambleSquirrel being popular in the distant past.

It's changed a lot over time. And it depends on what area of the internet you're in. The youtube warrior community seems to have very different interpretations and fandom darlings than, say, here or twitter.
like i've never seen anyone ship fire x gray but apparently that's a thing. mothpool used to be pretty popular but it's kinda died out in the last 5+ years.

I think CloudBright has always been pretty popular, as well as JakeTall and RavenBarley.

TallJake, BarleyRaven, MothLeaf, HollyCinder, BlossomIvy, FireSand, CloudBright are still quite popular in the fandom.
Out of them all I personally only ship TallJake, BarleyRaven and CloudBright although both MothLeaf and HollyCinder were also on my favorite ship list in the past.)

mothpool used to be pretty popular but it's kinda died out in the last 5+ years. Mothpool is still very popular on Youtube and continues to get a few MAPs and PMVs created about it on more than one occasion each year. It probably doesn't hurt the ships ongoing popularity that some of the most popular Warrior Cats content creators on that platform support it as well (Blixemi, BGA and so on).

True. I don't either. It used to be one of my favorite ships back when I was a teen but since then I'm now more inclined to see Mothwing as aroace but still think Leafpool at least had a crush on her for a little while. Their genuine connection continues to be one of my favorites though. Just not in a romantic sense anymore.

people like to ship "rival" love interest characters together sometimes, I've seen plenty of nightcloud×leafpool or feathertail×leafpool, sometimes it'll be all three
i think it might just be a trend with the women because i dont really see anyone shipping brambleclaw×ashfur unironically

However I’d say it’s probably closer to about 80% from my experience I'm lowballing it to account for ships that are just a platonic friend pairing, sibling ships, cross-franchise from series that are only vaguely related, crackships, and everything else. Honestly Warriors is pretty tame compared to some of the outright horrible stuff I've seen in other fandoms. A lot of the ones I've seen from this fandom just seem like a stretch or done for the sake of diversity, but nowhere near the level of PhineasXLuca.

At least the ones in Warriors have some semblance of chemistry or development between the 2 characters, whether being shipped platonically or romantically. Some fandoms will ship characters that actively despise eachother in canon, and are never seen interacting cordially with another, which literally feels like grasping at straws out of desperation for representation. Which there’s nothing wrong with it, though they should have some chemistry, relationship development that’s healthy between them established beforehand just like with any hetero ship or other. Although it’s pretty funny watching people adamantly defend some ship that feels like they just took 2 people and randomly shoved them together for the simple sake of being a LGBTQ ship, even if it makes zero sense.

I almost want to derail this thread into "worse non-Warriors ships" since the whole bit of characters that actively despise each other reminded me of KH ships where thanks to how roundabout that series is people will ship a character with what's basically their own clone some Bulbapedia ships that were... out there. Stuff like a hetero ships that are not only rival characters but outright... (can I say that here? Uhm... better codeword it...) a Thistleleaf-like situation.

WLW ships seem to get more popularity in this fandom in general tbh.

TW: Don’t read if Spottedleaf’s Heart Makes you squeamish and you just despise it all around yeah there’s definitely some extremely creepy and inappropriate fandom ships out there. the Lilo & Stitch Fandom is the most cringeworthy one I’ve been in, as they take “Child Grooming” and “Beastality” to a whole new level of Horrifying

I've seen cats shipped that hate each other before. Like I saw several people shipping HawkfrostxStormfur I guess because they are the same gender and both in RiverClan, even though Hawkfrost got Stormfur exiled. Less commonly, I've even seen FirestarxTigerstar, though I've seen just as many people freaking out about that ship and cancelling people who shipped it.
