Oh god OH GOD I just had a VIVID flashback to when I made WoF OC's a long long time ago like probably 2014 era and I, unfortunately, didn't have any of the WRITING left from when I was using them but I did find them pasted onto a long character doc for other things (including frostclan and faolan cats, the first drafts of them at least)
anyways I want to rewrite the scene I most vividly remember from that era, which is a dragon border raid! The characters were terrible one-dimensional personalities and yes, they were WoF "breeds" (though I won't write them as such here, since honestly I don't remember ANYTHING other than the little chameleon one apparently was hiding poison and she was like really op and maybe a spy? Glory???
here's the old character sheets:
Fire splashed over Pebble's scales as she braced herself against the heat, her inner eyelids tinting the world yellow to protect her fragile eyes from the flames. The massive grey dragon snapped his jaws shut and leapt at her in a single motion, faster than she expected, and she barely was able to hunker down before he collided into her side like a boulder, rolling them both into the river.
Pebble sank like a stone, her heavy scales unsuited for swimming, but she grabbed the grey dragon's head and pulled him down with her, keeping his fangs away from her neck even as she used her wings to create a current to disorient him. The water slowed her movements and her shoulders ached with the massive force needed to push her wings through the heavy resistance. They landed on the river bottom with a muffled whoomp, sending dislodged sand up in a cloud, completely blinding her even as the grey struggled under her talons, trapped beneath her dense weight and unable to find any leverage with the water's resistance.
Even from the bottom of the river, Pebble saw the flashing fire and heard the battle raging overhead; she curled her claws into the grey's shoulders, but the blunted edges couldn't penetrate his scales and she couldn't bite him unless she wanted to be choking on water. Frustrated, she snorted, sending bubbles from racing through the disturbed silt.
A flash from upriver caught her eye and soon after came the slim form of a water dragon, his dark scales invisible except for the bright, luminescent patches on his shoulders and beneath his eyes. He flashed the two spots beneath his eyes as he cut through the water as gracefully as a wind dragon through the air, and he had no trouble grinning an open-fanged smile, letting the water filter through his gills. With a deft twist he cleared the water around Pebble, dispelling the last of the sand cloud, then dove down and ripped his claws down the grey's side. Now it was dark blood that clouded the water and the grey rumbled even as Pebble held him down.
Twice more the water dragon ripped through the grey's scales, then he bit deeply into his tail, shaking it like a dog might a rabbit, and the grey thrashed, sending up sand, blood, and bubbles in a cloud as he struggled. Figuring the grey had enough, Pebble used his shoulders to push herself off him and he quickly escaped downriver and out of the fight. She nodded to the water dragon, who flashed different patches on his scales in a pattern she couldn't decipher before swimming upriver to help another fight where two other dragons had fallen in like she had.
Pebble worked to pull herself up the side of the riverbank. Being too dense to really swim, it was easier to simply walk her way up, though she slipped and slid as the sandy banks gave way under her weight, she pulled herself out of the water with a roar. Acid splattered lines against the ground, stinging her paws as she surveyed the battlefield, locking onto a spiky, blue-white dragon firing bolts of ice into the sky from his spine, trying to snipe the aerial fighters where the fighting was thickest. She built up momentum, barreling into him shoulder first.

here's the old character sheets:
[ Pebble ] -- Dragon-- Female
--- Pebble is a typical Mud dragon with a large body and hard scale-armor. She is a ruddy orange-brown color with yellow eyes. Her wings are a bit lighter at a shade of yellow-brown. She has an unusually long tail for her species. She has short, muscular legs with long but blunt foreclaws. She is outgoing with a short temper that can easily snap. She is quick to defend her friends and is very open. She doesn't hesitate to tell you how she feels. She likes staying on the ground and is scared of heights though she will never admit it. She is stubborn and proud and is hesitant to speak out her shortcomings.
[ Innus ] -- Dragon -- Male
--- Innus is a flaming red dragon with golden streaks through his scales. He is long and skinny with large wings. He is an amazing flyer, even for one of his species though his agility on the ground is questionable.... He has large, curving horns with an odd shorter set just above his ears. The shorter set start out jet black before lightening to ivory at the tips. He loves being in the sky and enjoys flying fast and high. He is a dare-devil and loves to test himself to the limits. It takes a lot to dampen his usually good mood. He likes to talk to others and is a bit of a flirt. He is quick to trust a dragon and makes friends easily. He is known to speak before he thinks and it often gets him in trouble.
[ Warren ] -- Dragon -- Male
--- Warren is a deep blue dragon with dark green eyes. He has many light blue stripes running around his body, mainly on the sides of his neck, torso and tail, though there are a few running along the backs of his legs. The stripes are phosphorescent like a firefly’s hind and can shine very brightly in comparison to his dark scales when he ‘turns them on’. His scales are a bit harder than most Water dragons, which allows him to travel deeper in the ocean without fear of pressure. He has narrow, streamlined wings that are great for moving fast through the water and through a dive in the air though he must flap faster to stay airborne. He is shy and a bit pessimistic, believing everything worse than it actually is. He fears public embarrassment and being in large crowds. He takes a while to warm up to a dragon and is usually quiet until he gets to know you. He is more of an observer and likes to know a lot about the other dragon before confronting him. He is actually very smart and picks things up quickly.
