The time it takes for leaders to revive and the condition they return in has been noted in-universe to be inconsistent, with Jayfeather pointing out that sometimes it's a decent pause, other times it's so fast that it's barely noticeable between breaths. With that established, what is your personal preferences for lost lives? Should it be so fast that before the blood finishes falling from a wound, they're healed and ready to continue fighting? Or should being killed take them out of the action and require them to heal for days? Or somewhere in between?

I always imagined it was a few minutes. Enough time so that others could acknowledge the leader died but also so the leader could return to life relatively quickly without needing to be unresponsive for days. I picture when Bluestar lost a life in Into the Wild and Firestar lost his first life in The Darkest Hour as good examples.

I prefer the depiction of losing a life from TPB where it took Bluestar and Firestar a few minutes to come back. It seemed to take Firestar a considerable less amount of time in TNP during both Dawn and Sunset respectively but then more time again in PoT during the Greencough outbreak in Long Shadows and OotS at the end of Fading Echoes/the start of Night Whispers.

10 minutes exactly, no more no less. /j
Enough time for everyone to have a decent panic of "oh no, what if they're dead for good" but not so long that they start making burial arrangements.

I'd say it depends on how severely the leader was wounded or how severe their sickness was, but I guess it'd take 15-20 at most.

While I think it varies, I generally imagine it only takes about 5-15 minutes.

I presume it’s loosely dependent on the severity of the wounds that were terminal will determine the length of time it takes to heal them. And how long the leader will have to wait until he’s able to reclaim his body and resume with his next life(whether or not this is implemented consistently in any capacity is not something I can confirm, nor intend to put any research or analysis into to figure out if there’s any validity to it, though I’m sure it can be perceived to have some in-universe relevance, consistently? really doubtful). This, pretty much. Like for instance, Tigerstar bulldozed through his lives in moments, if I recall correctly, and later on Firestar seemed to have been enough for Scourge to believed he had killed him. We also have that one death of Firestar's in Eclipse, where he seemed to have only been dead for moments. I'd say like one minute for severe fatal wounds, and five minutes for normal deaths like sickness or punctured throats
