I've realized through my research technically the only reason I believe Erin Hunter doesn't include lgtbq in the series is because there is a risk of the books getting banned from countries and whatever I love the idea of including lgtbq characters however but it seem likely that the Erins are constantly obliged to not include it I THINK Many younger audience (children) do read Warriors, . But is Homosexuality something to hide from children? Remember, Sexuality is a predisposition, you are born with it. Yes, it may change over your life, but most of the time that is because of your own body and not because of influences from the media. If a kid sees gay cats in a book series, it won’t make them gay. Plus, lets be honest, with the prevalence of the internet it is impossible for a child to not learn about Homosexuality.

I think they need to keep it so that it doesn't get banned, not just in other countries, but also banned by groups that would see that part of the content and prohibit their children from reading the books. You know, the same ones who tried to ban Harry Potter, claiming it was devil worship?

I may be biased, being part of the community, but I absolutely think there should be more LGBTQ+ cats in Warriors. Sure, we have Ravenpaw and Barley, but there's no reason that they can't expand that further, and it would be really nice to see some more gay or possibly trans or nb cats in the series.

Yes. There's Ravenpaw/Barley, I'm pretty sure it's canon that Tallstar is gay, Jake (Firestar and Scourge's father) is bisexual (mated with two different kittypet queens and was also in love with Talltail, to the point he was the one who guided Tallstar to StarClan).
Not to mention Rick Riordan has slowly introduced more and more queer characters into his fictional interconnected universe (Loki is genderfluid and bisexual, Nico di Angelo is gay, Apollo is bisexual, Apollo's son Will Solace is gay, Artemis is aroace, there's a couple of lesbian Hunters, Athena could easily be read as ace, Magnus Chase is pansexual, etc.), and his novels are all aimed at middle-schoolers/teenagers. The Erins should be able to add more queer characters, I think.
There's also a couple of series I could name that were originally published in the early 2000s in the YA bracket that had gay, lesbian, and bisexual supporting characters: SWEEP and Circle of Three. (Then again, said YA series also focused heavily on witchcraft/Wicca and paganism in general, and I am part of the queer community and pagan myself. Funny how there's quite a bit of overlap between the two communities.) Anyway, point here is that if YA novels published from around 2000 - 2004 could get away with having queer characters, then the Erins really have no excuse. My concern when it comes to the Erins writing queer characters is that there has already been a pretty bad track record with disabled characters when it comes to the writing in the series. On one hand, the introduction of them would bring them to more YA novels and thus would normalize their inclusion — which would, of course, lead to more attempts to write them. The double-edged sword of it all would come in the fact that representation isn't exactly the strongest suit of the novels. There's already overlooked theming issues that plague Warriors when it comes to the Clan cats pressing their way of life upon other cat groups and it being promoted within the narrative as a good thing. If queerness at all becomes a big focus within any of the books, I'm unsure it will be handled delicately.
With them having to keep it to subtext so far (with Tallstar and Jake, for instance), it at least guarantees those unconscious biases don't influence the grander narrative. The queerness wasn't the focus at all; Tallstar's emotional journey was, and that influenced the final product.
