What are your hopes for the new protagonists personalities? I really want Flamepaw to be desperate to prove himself, but constantly messing up, while Finchpaw does everything perfectly. I want Frostpaw to be mysterious and really hard to read, like she doesn't tend to show her emotions at all, but she's actually pretty nice once you get to know her (I also wouldn't mind her being evil, honestly). And I just want Sunbeam to be excitable and friendly.

Flamepaw - Kind, Brave, secretly self-conscious, goes with the crowd, a bit cocky, wants to be famous like Firestar
Frostpaw - Determined to be a good medicine cat, serious, tries to act older than she is
Sunbeam - Relaxed, Easy-going, Extroverted, Loyal warrior, very popular
Finchpaw - Catafied Azula from The Avatar

Also I would really love these to be their personalities.

Ah, well that would still be really cool! Azula is one of my favourite ATLA characters so it'd be nice if Finchpaw was like her personality-wise

I would like a sweet Sunbeam. I'm so tired of the stereotype that ShadowClan cat = Mean.
I would also like Flamepaw to have an attitude. Not a Jayfeather copy paste but I would like a cat with some edge to them. Because from the first blurb it sounded like he was just "Alder 2.0" with anxieties.

I don't care about any of her other traits but please make her nice! Just don't make her the stereotypical ShadowClan cat.

Frostpaw - at first excited to prove herself but gets distant and cold (possibly evil?) later on
Flamepaw - in the beginning anxious and worried but later does not care anymore (mix of Alder and later Jay)
Sunbeam - the opposite of what ShadowClan cats are usually known for (so open-minded and friendly)
(Finchpaw - evil with a possible redemption if she's lucky)
Personally, I don't want a repeat of the early AVoS arc for Flamepaw and Finchpaw, where Alderheart was anxious and failed a lot while his sister Sparkpelt was perfect at everything. But who knows what might happen.

Flamepaw: Someone who seems pretty arrogant at first, but is actually a very soft boy underneath it all. He has a great ambition to be exactly like Firestar, which leads to him trying to keep his emotions under control all the time, which does horrible things for his mental health. He is very insecure, and he struggles with self-worth issues after he fails his assessment. Nothing seems to work out for him. Because of all his insecurities, he goes with the crowd a lot, never voicing his opinion. He is also pretty reluctant to fight. When he fights, he always defends and never attacks. Flamepaw likes going to new places, and is a very adventurous guy. He also can get angry fast. He likes to make jokes a lot, but when someone makes a joke about him, he becomes very irritated and just ignores that person for a few days. He cares a lot about his family and friends, and he will always choose this seperate loyalties over his loyalty for the Clans. He is also very funny, and he does keep his emotions under control with humour. He also definitely gets an attidude problem later in the books, just like Jayfeather.
Frostpaw: Frostpaw is a very confident she-cat. She never shows any emotions, and lacks the common warmth most medicine cats have towards their patients. That doesn't mean other cats feel uncomfortable around her, though. She is pretty easy to talk to, even though she is a serious person. There is not a single insecure bone in her body. She is also very trusting, open for manipulation. Frostpaw does very bad things with the mindset that she is doing the right thing, even though she definitely enjoys doing those things while later regretting doing them. She likes to act older than she actually is, and she is very hard to intimidate.
Sunbeam: Your ultimate badass girl. She is fierce and very popular in her Clan. A persuasive cat who uses her extrovert personality to get what she wants. But she always uses it for doing good. She refuses to act selfish. Sunbeam is also pretty relaxed, she rarely stresses. She doesn't have much empathy though. She can have a hard time communicating, because she finds it hard to understand others. Sunbeam is also obsessed with having control. If she doesn't have control over her life, she falls apart way easier. Sunbeam is fiercely independent, not needing any cat to care for her because she cares enough about herself, often rejecting Berryheart's attention. Sunbeam can be very sarcastic, but is pretty easy-going most of the time, so a lot of cats like to be around her. She also really likes battling, taking great pride in her skills. But her biggest trait is her extreme kindness and thoughfulness when being around others.
Yes I know these things are pretty extensive but this is what I would be the happiest with.

I hope Sunbeam will be open-minded and friendly but also incredibly badass. I really want her to break all ShadowClan cat stereotypes.

No cross-clan romances, that's all I want, lol.
I think BristleRoot should be the last cross-clan romance tied to any protagonist in general. The way it was written was both satisfying, healthy, but tragic, and I feel like it's a trope the Erins should finally put to rest now.

The only way I would want to see it again is if it is de-criminalized and doesn't cause any drama.

If they're going to do a forbidden romance, at least let it be Frostpaw with someone in her Clan, it'd still be forbidden since she's a medicine cat. I'm so sick of them at this point.

I bet either FlameSun or FlameFrost will happen since this forbidden love trope has been used with new couples or at least was utilized for drama with old ones by the writing team in every arc so far except DotC for obvious reasons (GraySilver in TPB, CrowLeaf in TNP, CrowLeaf in PoT, TigerDove in OotS, TigerDove in AVoS, RootBristle in TBC). Although I do agree as well that it has become predictable and annoying at this point (or rather for a while now).

Which once youβve reached that destination, than what is even the point of having them anymore to begin with? Since theyβd hardly be considered star-crossed lovers anymore

Since theyβd hardly be considered star-crossed lovers anymore I would argue they still are in some way. ALitM Spoilers Although the way in which BristleRoot went was certainly more on the GraySilver side of tragedy in regards to one of them dying so who knows how future "forbidden" romances will be handled and in which direction the might go.
