Announcements -Leader is still open. I might take it if we need to take to drastic measures, but we're not there yet, are we? Please help by either taking leader or finding someone who might take it. Thank you! -Thanks to everyone who joined! I think we might be at a good start here! Let's try to keep this clan active and alive! -We still need a plot, so if anyone wants to suggest one feel welcome to do that. Again, I'll throw together one as a drastic measure. But I'm pretty positive most people are gonna come up with better plots than me. -It's greenleaf (summer), so keep that in mind. The sun should be pretty fierce, so if your character is doing something that involves sunlight, that light is going to be near blowing. Pretty much the only cool spots will be the water and the forest (Garden of Herbs included). |

I have a small idea. So maybe we can play off there being no leader. So say the prior leader just disappeared and has been gone for a while. So naturally by the code the deputy would be needing to take over. But with the brought and the moonfalls dried up he can't receive his nine lives. Just would be something fun I would feel with the clan having a lot of uncertainty

Yeah, a drought sounds fun. It would make life really difficult for the clan. It would also affect the prey and plants so there'll probably be less food and Cloudsight would be unable to properly stock up enough herbs. Ember's idea sounds interesting too. We'd need an explanation for the leader's disappearance though. And to add to dawnrose's idea, another option could be an evil medicine cat apprentice. Or we go with the 'evil leader' idea.
Also, maybe the clan thinks the drought is a sign from Starclan. As in, they think they're angry at Tideclan for some reason. And now some cats are trying to figure out why, thinking that one or more of their clanmates are to blame. Maybe a kit being the only one of its litter to survive? Or a loner that was allowed to join the clan? Or if Cloudsight is in a forbidden (and probably secret) relationship before the drought maybe someone could find out about it and blame him and his mate.

Yeah, there's so much we can do with it! The drought will affect the clan in so many ways!
As for the evil leader or medicine cat apprentice... If we do the latter maybe the cat turns evil over time, either having some Dark Forest cats corrupting them (if the DF is a thing in this rp) or the apprentice having their own reasons for becoming bad. Or they could be a well intentioned extremist. Also, once Cloudsight gets his forbidden relationship his apprentice could find out and become disillusioned with the cat they looked up to so much. Of course, there's also the option of the apprentice simply having chosen the position as a medicine cat because it gives them so much power over their clanmates, both because of their connection to Starclan and because with all this knowledge about herbs they can pretty much decide who lives and who dies.

I love all of these!! And cloudsight would never be able to see his apprentice turning to the Darkside and the apprentice can easily fake being fine. And cloudsight would have no way of really telling through their voice

And perhaps if we are/could incorporate the forbidden romance for cloudsight, maybe that could be another reason as to why he's not noticing his apprentice turning to the darkside because his mind is slightly distracted by the relationship and worrying on trying to make sure it stays secret.

Okay so how about this! It's a hard time for Tideclan. The leader has disappeared along with the water. The Moonfall has dried up, forbidding Brambleheart from getting his nine lives and the medicine cat to communicate with Starclan. Cats are going crazy, some not accepting Brambleheart as a leader, some begging him to stay in camp and stay safe, because there's no way for him to get his lives. Still others insist that he can't appoint a deputy, saying that he's not a leader yet. A mysterious kittypet has turned up in Tideclan's territory, and they're unsure whether or not she has anything to do with the drought or the missing leader. Meanwhile, Cloudsight hasn't noticed anything, having plunged himself into a forbidden relationship. Dark forces are rising, and one question remains: Is there anything Tideclan can do about it? If you guys can word that better than me (probably yes), just blurt it out! |

Sounds good so far! Also, since Brambleheart can't get his nine lives maybe some cats are wondering if they can really accept him as their leader. Not many, of course. And others will be a little paranoid, begging Brambleheart to never leave camp because it's too dangerous since he has only one life. And maybe some will think that he can't appoint a new deputy since he technically hasn't been accepted as a leader by Starclan yet.

Jasminedusk maybe for some added drama the leader is a she cat and when she returns is expecting kits to further add to the illusion that something is going on between her and vanilla, since she sent him to watch out for the clan till she can get back there
