For me, it has to be Bristlefrost's. The fact that she won't be coming back to StarClan, and that she'll be essentially gone forever hits especially hard, and her last moments, with "memories" of her and Rootspring are especially heartbreaking. The series should have more permanent deaths like these, because at this point it's like all cats have 2 lives, instead of 1. I know Spottedleaf perma-died, but let's be honest- no one really cares about Spottedleaf anymore.

Leafpool's death. It was so shocking for me that she died so suddenly, and especially not in a main series book.

I loved how Bristlefrost's death was written. It's really distressing, especially when you think about Ivypool and Fernsong. And of course there are many deaths in Warriors that managed to make me sad, but I can only think about Feathertail's right now. It is no surprise, since Feathertail is my favorite character in the entire series. It just broke me, she was too young to die... And the fact that I love FeatherCrow just makes it worse, because I can't think of any other cat that ever tried to commit suicide besides from Crowfeather. He sure loved her a lot.

Badgerfang's death is very hardhitting. Poor baby is bleeding out and all he cared about was making Brokenstar proud. He deserved better

Leafpoolβs death made me cry because Leafpool seeing all of her loved ones again made me very nostalgic. When she realized Leafpool intended to stay dead, Squirrelflight flashbacking about the times she was with her sister in the old forest as she left for the living world was an extra kick to the gut. On top of that, there was the sad bonus scene with Jayfeather grieving over Leafpool.
Briarlightβs death was also really sad for me because it reminded me of a loss I experienced in real life.

Yellowfangs death is one of the saddest and most impactful imo. Almost 18 years later and Iβm still broken up about it. And has left Kate Cary quite salty and bitter as well, and has subsequently lead to her abusing the sacred powers of the mythical character assassination pen, and has lead to a very disturbing illness that lead to the coining of the infamous βOnestar Syndromeβ that has since duplicated and multiplied in prolific abundance, resulting in very tumultuous uproar among the fanbase and countless controversial debates over the spanning years proceeding Yellowfangs unfortunate demise. And while the ire and bitterness is to be expected, is it justifiable?? can we possibly be resentful towards someone so wronged?. While Kateβs Characters meet their despicable demise time and time again, Cherithβs are left alive and kicking for unprecedented eons and arcs to come. Can you explain more on this? But anyway, I agree on this too.

Turtle Tail hit hard, knowing how happy she and Gray Wing finally were. Bumble was surprising sad too. I know she wasn't a main character or anything but she seemed kind and it was an unfortunate series of events that could have been avoided. Gray Wing. Obvs.
From the moden era I felt sad hearing about Sandstorm and Leafpool but I haven't read past OoTS so I've not actually gotten to read it (or in Leafpools case hear about it). I honestly can't remember other sad deaths, other than Ferncloud (Dustpelt was so sad) and Sorreltail.

Gray Wing, I think what really got me was seeing his asthma worsen throughout the books, knowing it was coming, and how desperate he was to not have it interfere with his life

Really I should be sad for Firestar when he died but somehow I was okay with that
But I was really sad abouth Ferncloud and Sorreltail because Dustpelt and Brackenfur really grived for them. And Birchfall training in the dark forest made it even worse. Foxleap died too, poor Dustpelt. I really like this old Warriors who were there all the time (more then the younger ones). Sad that this happened to them in the end.

For me, the saddest deaths are Willowbreeze, Ravenpaw, Needletail and Badgerfang. All of these hit me super hard, even though I knew they were coming. Funnily enough, I didn't really care about the βbig deathsβ like Silverstream, Yellowfang, Bluestar, Cinderpelt, Firestar or Sandstorm. They were sad I guess, but I didn't cry when they died or anything. BristlefrostΚΌs death was also really sad, but only because she's double - dead and will never see her family, her friends or Rootspring ever again, since I couldn't care less about Bristlefrost as a character.

I cried rivers because of Gray Wing. Tell me about it :β( I thought about it for weeks I already knew he would die before I started Thunder Rising, but I didn't know his death would be so darn sad (. Gray Wing was my favourite character since I read The Sun Trail, emotionally connecting to him, and I already suspected that I would cry over his death. It may have been because it was from Gray Wing's pov, maybe it just was because of the reaction from his family, but god, I couldn't stop crying. He was my comfort character since day one, and I am so darn angry they butchered him in A Light in the Mist π

As far as actual deaths go, Feathertail's takes the cake for me. Though if we're counting implied death but actually just disappearances, both Graystripe and Hollyleaf were sadder for me.

Bristlefrost will probably be the saddest death for me. It was the last few chapters back with the living clans that really made me cry. Her family and rootspring's reactions were so heartbreaking, especially Ivypool's.

Bristlefrostβs was definitely really sad, but honestly I really liked it. It was a super unique thing.
Gray Wingβs death is probably the only one that still makes me cry after multiple re-reads (lots of them make me tear up, but I still full on ugly cry when Gray Wing dies and pretty much the entire like two chapters leading up to his death just knowing itβs coming)

Considering that Firestar's death made me quit the series for literal years he is the obvious first pick for me. I cried for a whole week and had my parents worried that in their words "something actually serious had happened" This was serious for me back then!
Other especially sad deaths to me in this series were those of Silverstream, Yellowfang, Stonefur, Gorsepaw, Whitestorm, Feathertail, Tallstar, Cinderpelt, Hollyleaf, Ferncloud, Sorreltail, Ravenpaw, Gray Wing, Turtle Tail, Sandstorm, Larksong, Leafpool, Bristlefrost and Graystripe.
