In my opinion, Abalone fate is one of the saddest in the entire series.
He was determined to protect Coralʼs eggs, even though he was slowly getting sicker and sicker and refused to leave his position.
Then he became unconscious and got executed by Coral because he “failed” to protect her eggs, even though he was literally already dying in front of her.
And during all of this Gill literally BEGGED his wife to spare him.
I hate Coral, she's one of my least favourite characters and this scene just solidified my hatred for her.
I feel so bad for all of the poor dragons that got brutally murdered by her.
