Whenever there's a new attempt at a Warriors animated series, rewrite, audio drama, what have you, it seems like all of them universally start off at the opening. And that wouldn't bother me since it's pretty logical, except for one little problem. Since basically 90% of fandom works die an early death, the opening of Into the Wild up to the Longtail fight (if you're lucky) is basically ALL you see. And you see it on repeat, over and over and over again. Good grief, it makes me almost wish people would start off with a smash-cut to the Longtail fight.
Not blaming any of the creators involved, btw, obviously making a fanwork is super hard and letting one drop is totally fine, just saying it's coincidental how all of them basically tread over the same ground and tend to die at a similar point.

Honestly agree. Like I get its the whole idea of an introduction. But there are so many other introductions to look forward to and try out!! Like at this point I have the entire first 100 pages of ItW plotted out in my mind. But I'd love to see a crack at Midnight or The Sight! Funnily enough my favorite Warriors introduction I've seen was the Fourth Apprentice (this one) and I don't even care for the first half of OOTS that much.

It's boring. I stopped caring about ITW partly because of this reason. It's a good book, but so many other people start off with that one. It's why I loved that one person who at least attempted to animate Bluestar's Prophecy - the style was cute, and even though she couldn't finish the book, at least she tried something different! I don't remember the username, but I watched her YouTube specifically for that reason.
I know another person who tried to animate Tallstar's Revenge, and that was pretty good too! I believe they animated the prologue and an episode of chapter 1.
But so many other people start off with Into the Wild and I just don't care about that book at this point. It's boring, and we already have TribbleofDoom who finished the entire book, so do we really need anyone else to start it all over again? Blegh. People can do whatever they want, but that's just me.

I never even knew about the TR animated!! ill have to check that out! (Honestly though I'd love to see a project animated like map style where there can hopefully be a bunch of animators and every person animates a part and there are of course vas, and then it gets put together! Like Tenelle's Better Days map.)

I kind of agree but I'm also still excited to see different interpretations by various content creators of the original first Warriors book. One new version I'm especially looking foward to is the developing WCAnimated project of Into the Wild with over 100 artists bringing the beginning of this series to life. I really hope they will at least be able to finish production on the entire ItW source material: wcanimated.carrd.co/Here is the already incredible teaser trailer for good measure which someone (I believe Cinder) made a thread about when it was released back in September of this year: But seeing Midnight, The Sight, another attempt at The Fourth Apprentice, The Sun Trail, The Apprentice's Quest or even Lost Stars get animated one day would be wonderful as well. And who knows, if the first book of ASC (arc eight) manages to make enough people excited and perhaps even inspired, there might be a chance of River getting this opportunity too.

I follow WCanimated on Instagram and it's always exciting to see what new characters they've got, in different art styles since so many artists are working for them. I really do hope that they'll be able to branch out soon.

I’d definitely would love to see some of the newer books get animated, any book from TBC anesthetically would be pretty sick to see animated. Though I can certainly understand why Into The Wild gets the most attention with animators, being the introduction to the series, by far the most recognizable book, and has the potential to grasp the interest of the widest audience, cause you the newer readers, those that have been reading only for a few years, the older readers that have been reading for awhile that still get nostalgic fan service from it, and even the dusty fossils that stop keeping up with the series years ago, we’ll still potentially garner some nostalgic satisfaction from seeing yet another animator animate Into The Wild for umpteenth time.

100% agreed. I don't bother watching fanworks anymore because it's always the same thing over and over
Nobody can beat SSWarriorCats, the art style, animation, voice acting and music was so good and unique
So I just don't see the point in looking into any other attempts to animate Into the Wild
