Unfortunate. I had a couple scares against Fantina, but that battle went fine for me. Thank you!

Breccianose jokingly called herself a furry again, so I made her make a fursona. She is now a pink hyena named Lady Loud. version 1: small evenly spaced dots version 2: large unevenly spaced dots

Cute! but couldn't you kinda say her comic cat is her fursona hmmm

You could, but I think Lady Loud wins out since she created her. She can have two!
Update: she prefers the second version, so that one is canon now.

added new cats Asterleaf (torbie) - part of Breccianose's friend group, someone I've sort of known since freshman year but didn't talk to much until recently. She was Athena in the Greek god group costume.
Callacloud (longhaired harlequin) - in my Italian class.
Chinchillatail (mediumhaired chinchilla) - in my Italian class.
Cilantrofur (brown) - sat in on one session of D&D last semester.
Cloudypelt (gray, looks like rain) - was a math, um...helper? last year, is now in my physics class. She appeared with black text in a comic from last year (I think it's called "Some Sort Of Conflict").
Evewhisker (dark purply-brown and white) - was in my physics class last semester and earlier, although not now. She is in a different physics class, so she still does the homework at the same time and place as I do.
Guavapelt (greenish-gray colorpoint) - in my Italian class.
Gulchpelt (yellow tabby with stripes on just the tail) - in my Italian class. One of the bros (not the same as the STEM bros).
Jacamarclaw (greenish-gray and white with curly spots on face) - the youngest of the people I call the STEM bros. Similar to Evewhisker I have had physics classes with him before, though we are not in the same class this semester, and he still does the homework at the same time and place.
Jinxwhisker (black and white mottled) - part of Breccianose's friend group. She was supposed to participate in the Greek god group costume as Hermes, but she didn't.
Jitterstripe (orange tabby with wiggly stripes) - in my physics class this semester. Established friend of Cloudypelt.
Kangarootail (brown) - Adderbite's former and soon-to-be-again coworker and friend. I've never met her in person.
Ledgeleap (yellow tabby) - in my Italian class. The other of the aforementioned non-STEM bros.
Loesswhisker (bright yellow-gold) - I have had physics classes with him in the past. He's Herringsplash's friend and a nerd. We toured this college on the same day, and I remembered him because he has a really cool name (not so much the first name, but his last name, and the combination of the two).
Manateefur (gray tuxedo) - we have had some physics classes together, and we talked a lot in physics last semester.
Phoenixfoot (bright orange tabby with stripes only on the tail) - in my Italian class.
Quailnose (brown checkerboard with black stripes) - I think Breccianose originally met her through D&D. Part of Breccianose's friend group.
Rubblestep (brown tabby longhair) - part of my D&D group last semester.
Sedgenose (torbie) - DM of my D&D group last semester.
Sweetclaw (frost tabby and white) - someone I've met twice, presumably a physics major since both times were in the physics lounge.
Webwhisker (frost and white) - Sedgenose's assistant from D&D.

sea slug legendary Pokémon x5 All have the regular ability Pressure. Each of their signature moves is STAB, 100 BP, and 95% accuracy. Aphemer (Normal) Mercury, Berghia coerulescensHidden ability: Nimble - its Speed increases by one stage each turn it has a status condition. Signature move: Meteor Blast - special, high crit ratio, clears the skies. Vencyth (Poison) Venus, Chromodoris kunieiHidden ability: Ruthless - its attacks increase in power by 20% when its target is under half their total HP. Signature move: Toxic Slam - uses Physical Attack but Special Defense, super effective on Water. Joriwe (Dark) Jupiter, Cyerce nigricansHidden ability: Free Rein - immune to the negative effects of its own moves. This is different from Mold Breaker/Turboblaze/Teravolt because it does not protect against, say, Iron Barbs, or circumvent Levitate, but it does protect against recoil and stat drops from the its own moves. Signature move: Moon Beam - special, 50% chance to inflict paralysis Cronex (Flying) Saturn, Ancula lentiginosa, Glaucus atlanticusHidden ability: Gravity Well - imposes Gravity on the field. Signature move: Air Cannon - physical, high crit ratio, clears the skies. Gadesune (Water) Neptune, Nembrotha kubaryanaHidden ability: Coolheaded - its attacking power increases by 20% when it is below half its total HP. Signature move: Storm Surge - uses Special Attack but Physical Defense, super effective on Poison. Gadesune and Vencyth are rivals, while Cronex and Aphemer are allies, and Joriwe is the ruler and most powerful of them.

bird Pokémon and mentions of death Bellbill (Normal/Flying) - Vespell (Ghost/Flying) Regular abilities: Bellbill with Big Pecks becomes Vespell with Aftermath. Bellbill with Keen Eye becomes Vespell with Cursed Body. Hidden ability: Bellbill with Early Bird becomes Vespell with Prankster. The male Vespell is more brightly-colored than the female, but their behavior/battling abilities are the same. Bellbill sings in a very loud voice that carries a long way. Once it evolves into Vespell, it has only one song (unique to each individual), which it repeats forever. The song is almost always somewhere between 20 seconds to 2 minutes long, and it is often but not always similar to the last thing it sang as Bellbill. Vespell with particularly beautiful songs are sought after by collectors. That whole scene got so bad that many towns near large populations of Bellbill have specifically had to outlaw stealing another trainer's Vespell. Also, if a trainer who has a Vespell passes away, the Vespell legally goes to a Pokémon sanctuary rather than being passed to another trainer, due to cases of suspected foul play.

Mostly okay. Every day I dread going to Italian, but other than that I'm doing fine. How about you? squirrel Pokémon plus more mentions of death Nekropesh (Ghost/Steel) Regular ability: Cursed Body Hidden ability: Defiant I actually didn't think of it as a squirrel until after I drew the sketch. Now it looks like a furry Grim Reaper. Nekropesh is said to have the power to animate the dead. Many of those who train Nekropesh seem to have evaded death before, but it's probably a coincidence. Some old legends even say Nekropesh itself is a former human who cheated death, but certainly that isn't possible? Its eyes are glassy and translucent. When it attacks, its blades gleam with an otherworldly light. It gets the signature move Shade Blade, which is Leaf Blade but Ghost-type, as well as the non-signature but generally-associated Steel Slash, which is Slash but Steel-type.

cat Pokémon Grat (Normal) - Omin (Normal) - Sparkin (Normal/Electric) Regular ability: Pickup (Grat and Omin) -> Static (Sparkin) Hidden ability: Normalize (Grat and Omin) -> Galvanize (Sparkin) "Oh great, how is this one horribly cursed?" It gets over it! Grat is a friendly little kitten. When it evolves into Omin, it remains mostly friendly, but it will catch all manner of strange pest, from creepy bugs to horrifying abominations that don't seem to be from this world. Exposure to a Thunder Stone causes Omin to evolve into Sparkin, at which point the strange pests cease, but it also gains electric powers. Newly evolved Sparkin may unwittingly unleash their newfound ability on random humans and Pokémon in the vicinity, so caution is advised to any trainer planning to evolve their Omin, especially at higher levels. However, most Sparkin find their footing within a day or two and can keep the electricity under control.

Doing well! Mostly just been chilling! But I've been having a fun weekend. Also, I found a song and now I'm bound and determined to set it to animation. But it's gonna have to wait in line.

Is it a regional variant Dragonite?

Post by tiger beetle on Nov 10, 2019 0:10:08 GMT -5
I haven't officially put it into either of my fakemon regions (regular fakemons go to Riosi, ones based on horror manga go to Aorim), but I guess it would be considered a regional variant. Unlike Alolan/Galarian* forms the difference is purely aesthetic.

I have already seen more spoilers than I would like, but shockingly I have avoided seeing the final forms of the starters.
I actually just recently thought I was spoiled on the starters, but it turns out they were just convincing fakemons (the art itself wasn't, but I thought it was fanart of canon designs).

rat king Pokémon Rozumi (Electric) - Radaroi (Electric) Regular ability: Static Hidden ability: Tangling Hair Rozumi is a curious and intelligent Pokémon, but wild Rozumi tend to be shy. Their tails are very long, but not fragile; pulled taut, the tail can slice through various materials like a cable saw. When multiple Rozumi become tangled together, their tails fuse, and they become Radaroi. There is very little visual difference, but they act together as one organism. Radaroi are usually composed of three former Rozumi, but larger numbers have been observed. In the process of studying shininess in Rozumi, scientists have created a strain that reliably breed shiny about 20% of the time.

pterosaur Pokémon Sorded (Dark) - Rhanchor (Dark/Fire) Regular abilities: Rivalry, Anger Point Hidden ability: Guts Sorded is a secretive Pokémon whose personality is often thought to be unfriendly, but it is not too difficult to get along with once you meet one. Sometimes it becomes angry in battle, and eventually it may erupt into a rage that causes it to evolve. This evolution, Rhanchor, is known for having a temper that makes it difficult to train. It is unlikely to hurt someone intentionally, but because it now has fire powers, it can still be dangerous when it rages. It is widely appreciated for its colorful wing membranes, but it is not widely trained due to its temper tantrums.
