the saffron rose water didn’t taste like it was meant to be eaten (melted it was pretty good, but frozen I didn’t like it)

- Jacanafeather made us a mochi cake and it would probably be really good if I liked mochi ( how and why does a cake have that consistency) - Martenclaw is in a circus? - a horrible alarm went off today and we’re pretty sure some HOOLIGAN knocked the plastic case off one of the fire alarms - Kittiwakepatch came in and made noodles but it got smoky because of stuff stuck on the burners - Stoatwhisker(?) and Juglanstep(?) are learning to use the devil sticks - so many things I wish I could say but they’d be against forum rules - Earwigtail came in and was like hey you’re in my philosophy class  - Martenclaw worked at a haunted house once - fun times |

got a B+ on my physics midterm and feel really confident in math midterm!
I want to make a joke about the thing here that’s supposed to be good luck, but I think if anyone googled it, you’d find my school in about half a second, so just know that I have done the thing that’s supposed to bring you luck, by chance

It’s almost 1:30 A.M., and I’m listening to Martenclaw’s ukulele.
One memory I have that makes me nostalgic is the time I was on an overnight ferry that used to be a cruise ship, and while I was lying in bed, I could hear the music playing from somewhere down the hall, in one of the (for lack of the right word) common areas. The only song I recognized was The Cave by Mumford & Sons. Explains my attachment to the song.
Anyway, this is my long way of saying I really appreciate Martenclaw’s late-night ukulele and I’m in LOVE.

they brought back ice cream for Martenclaw but not for me and like I get that I’m not really part of the group and I don’t want them to spend money on me but it still makes me sad when they make it this obvious
I mean he was invited but didn’t respond in time whereas I was never invited so I get it! but they know it’s my favorite ice cream place too, and my roommate went...
I’m only staying right now for Martenclaw’s ukulele and I’m wondering if that’s even worth it because I just know he’ll be playing it at 1 A.M. anyway so I’ll get to hear him then
I don’t even care about the ice cream I’m just tired of, like, friends who don’t even like me and probably only tolerate me because I’ll help with their homework

tonight Kyanitefang sang Oops!... I Did it Again and Martenclaw played Viva la Vida on the ukulele at some kind of open mic night
it was a good time but it kind of makes me even sadder that we’re not really friends

Martenclaw and I have the same favorite flavor of ice cream which is mint chocolate chip from a regional ice cream chain (which strangely has a location near here) (well, I guess it’s only my second favorite chain/store, but that’s beside the point)
also no worries about Sloefern it was just funny to me

I wrote 1100 words today for a fanfiction I don't even plan to write and I can't muster 750 about a really cool painting for class what's wrong with me
(I'm not going to say what specific painting it is but it's a Neo-Impressionist one so you can get an idea)

hey, I'm adulting! kind of! I bought stamps at the post office and envelopes at the five-and-dime
also one of the envelopes I got was an excellent one to put Adderbite's birthday card in...now, I don't have a card yet, nor is it even a reasonable time to be thinking about a birthday card, but it's a gray envelope (she likes gray) with a very passive-aggressive-looking "yay, YOU!" on the side that you tear open
(adult points diminished for also buying marzipan and having so little self-control that I've already eaten it)
