I dreamed that I was in college (I think you were my roommate) and when I walked around the building I was trying to find slick in the crowd but instead I saw birdboy and whispered "birdboy" and had to explain why I said "birdboy" and then the dream changed

Being your roommate would be interesting. ;3 You'd have to deal with my large piles of books, though.
I often times have to use word association to remember someone's name, at least to begin with (for some reason, I can remember SNs just fine, even down to the numbers that people sometimes us). I have a slight fear that one day I'll say the word I use to remember someone's name before I say their actual name. >.<

large piles of books are great…you'd have to deal with me raiding them (…I'd give them back…)
I'm not too bad at remembering names, though I actually don't remember birdboy's name (update: looked in the yearbook and how did I forget that…)

that's true!
one time I had to admit to Riverlight ("my head is too small let's talk about that") that I still didn't know Silverstep's (rips mitts off "gingerbread man") name after we'd been friends for a week (that was another name I had no excuse to forget, not only because we'd been friends for a week but because it's a really common name)

It sometimes take a few years before I remember someones name... ^^' I got a bad case of 'forget names, remembers voices and faces' and 'goes into one ear, out the other'. I'm working on improving it, so it's not as bad as it used to be.

I'm pretty bad with voices (there are some I'll never forget, but in general I'm no good); once I learn a name I can hold on to it, but sometimes it takes a while to learn it in the first place…
