So, I was just thinking about Ivypool and Mistystar super editions and how those probably would’ve gone given context from ALITM ALITM spoilers below I think an Ivypool super edition would’ve focused on Ivypool dealing with her grief over Bristlefrost’s death. It would’ve also had a focus on Ivypool rekindling her relationship with Dovewing, and bringing that drama to an end. It could also give some insight into the period between TBC and ASC.
A Mistystar super edition likely would’ve focused heavily on RiverClan and the changes to the code, setting the stage for ASC. In ALITM, Mistystar is tasked with changing the code, and seems to be dedicated to that. Her super edition could be interesting in giving us insight into the exacts of the code changes. It seems odd, with the recent article on the website about the code changes, that these events happened almost entirely offscreen. I really wish that ALITM had come out before the poll ended (or started really) cause that book provides a better idea of what the other non-Riverstar options would be. I still probably would’ve picked Riverstar, but it feels unfair to not have the context behind Ivypool and Mistystar being considered for a super edition. So what do you think? Does your opinion on the super edition poll change with added context from ALITM? Or are you still fine with sticking with who you initially picked?

Honestly yeah, my pick would still be Ivypool, and then Misty over River, even though I like River more. I just don't have faith in them keeping River in character after the mess that happened in the final TBC volume.

I still think Ivypool will at least get a Novella, perhaps even next year or a Super Edition some other time if her role after TBC is potentially expanded on.
In regards to Mistystar, she already has a Novella but I'm actually hoping for a Graphic Novel that could feature modern RiverClan preferably in two or three years which is still while the ASC arc is getting released if they keep up the pacing of two main series books per year coming out.

I'm conflicted on a Mistystar SE. It could add some real depth to her relationships with Blackclaw, Stonefur, Reedwhisker, and others; but there's also the high chance that the authors would instead focus on more boring periods of her life in order to tie it in better with the more recent arcs. It also seems highly likely that she'll be a central character in River. Ivypool still doesn't need an SE, imo. If anything I think Fernsong should have a novella, despite my personal dislike for him. I'd prefer that they flesh out a bland character than reiterate a protagonist's story for the billionth time, and their grief for Bristlefrost can be explored there. I like Riverstar and am glad to see him get some time in the spotlight, but I don't know if he can fill out an entire SE on his own. A novella-length book would have suited him better. Honestly, I don't think any of the choices were very strong this time around.

I feel like an Ivypool SE would be extremely boring. I'm not interested in Mistystar at all, and Riverstar needs way more attention, so no, my opinion has not changed.

Is it confirmed it's Cherith?? Cause if it is then thank goodness, I have no faith in Kate's writing style, especially with her track record of SqH.

My choice wouldn’t have changed. I voted for Mistystar. I would have liked to see Mistystar’s POV post ALitM.

Cause if it is then thank goodness, I have no faith in Kate's writing style, especially with her track record of SqH. being that Kate and Cherith have done a rotation basis for who writes the SE since Firestars Quest came out, and being that Leopardstars honor was written by Kate, I believe it’s safe to assume that Cherith is writing it, unless the new editing team decides to do something screwy and change things around . Edit: yeah her Butchering of Squirrelflights Hope and Tigerhearts shadow are unforgivable. but at least the New groups of cats introduced in Tigerhearts SE were enjoyable and interesting to read about, unlike the sisters.

I would have been fine with either of them getting an SE and after ALiTM, my opinion hasn't really changed much.
