What do you predict will happen in this arc and in the first book?
I think it will be about, as cats deliberate changes to the warrior code, it will become very apparent that the Clans are too big and different to come to a consensus on what the rules should be. At first the Clans will dispute them (as a Clan) and potentially go to war, with then eventually realizing that losing lives over this difference isn’t worth it and will agree that the Clans themselves can decide their own codes. Then they will discover that they can’t even agree within their own Clan, some threaten to leave and a couple Clans might have civil wars. The Clans then realize that they ultimately have no choice but to disband, the cats will leave in groups based on their beliefs, but all agree to maintain the traditions of belief in StarClan, gathering as one every moon, and to not attack or fight each other except in the case of self defense

I hope the removal of a Clan leader suggestion gets used on Mistystar, and that that'll be the crisis in RiverClan. These past two arcs have demonstrated she hasn't had the best forethought and has been on the wrong side almost every time. She's getting old, and exhibiting similar symptoms of paranoia as her mother I can't imagine Mothwing would really stop an impeachment given how terribly Mistystar has treated her for her heritage and beliefs. Many cats would also have reason to dislike her, from those imprisoned by the Kin to those exiled this arc.
Reedwhisker might refuse to take his mother's place, and it could create a power struggle in the Clan.

Reedwhisker might refuse to take his mother's place, and it could create a power struggle in the Clan. It talks about a tragedy, so I feel like it’s likely they will both die at the same time. From what I remember, the removal group is for younger leaders, so I’m not sure she would be eligible.

Here are all of my theories from past post and threads
(More ASC Plot Theories Thread) ASC River:
- At the gathering, the clans are split as to if they should fix the code. Some cats go home angry that night - The next few following weeks, cats mysteriously go missing. One of the cats being mistystar - Frostpaw, Sunbeam, and Flamepaw go on a secret mission to try and find mistystar after frostpaw finds begins to worry. - Together they find a secret camp with a bunch of missing clanmates - They are able to escape with Mistystar, but at the end of the book a mysterious figure looms over the RC medicine cats den before disappearing. There is an inside threat that wants the codechangers and codebreakers to be gone
Overall ASC theories:
- Whistlepaw and Finchpaw are helping the mysterious cat - Mistystar and Reedwhisker will die, leaving frostpaw to choose the next RC leader
(Frostpaw, Flamepaw, Sunbeam personality headcanons Thread) Now that we are less than a year away from the new arc, what do you think the characters will be like?
Here are my predictions:
Flamepaw: Determined, Cares what others think of him, a bit of a pushover Sunbeam: Taking a little after her sister needletail she is loud and fun. Flamepaw and her a good friends and she likes to tease him a little. In her clan she tries her best to be mature, but her childish side sometimes gets the better of her. Frostpaw: Confident, Cheerful, Curious
I'm a bit surprised, but I'm really hoping to like sunbeam.
(Whistlepaw and Frostpaw thread) At the mid-beginning of Darkness within kestralfight said that whistlepaw might make a good apprentice, and that got me thinking.
So here comes my theory,
Whistlepaw and Frostpaw start off as friends in the books river and book 2, yet as the looming threat continues to engulf the clans frostpaw can't help but notice something off about her friend.
As the arc continues it it reviled that Whistlepaw has been helping whatever force is taking over the clans. In the 4th book Frostpaw has to realize that what her friend is doing is wrong.
When she tries to convince Whistlepaw one last time to stop helping the force, Whistlepaw denies and Frostpaw ends their friendship. In the last book, Whistlepaw and Frostpaw have to face off. Whistlepaw being a former warriors apprentice as able to beat her, but is unable to kill her friend.
It's not a well developed theory yet, but hope you understand what I'm saying. What are your thoughts?
(New Theories not posted in a former thread)
- Ivystar - Finchpaw is partners in crime with Whistlepaw
____
Those are all my recent post in the last few months on my theories. They may change with new knowledge though

I wouldn’t be surprised if a leader died in each book this series. I’m guessing river is the start of a pattern with each book being named after a clan and that culminating in the last book, star.
but I predict we’re gonna get the leader of the title clan on the cover of each book, and said leader is going to die in that book.
it could be a good way to give each of the leaders a proper send off too, though I do live in constant fear of crowstar happening lmao (I don’t feel too strongly about crowfeather as a character, I just really don’t think he’s be an interesting leader. his character has already had so much happen to him, I think crowstar would get old fast)
it could also be a very interesting conflict, perhaps a murder mystery or something?
I have a bunch of different predictions for the book (most of them I might reuse for oc stories), but this one popped into my head today so I thought I’d share it
