How do you feel about her writing and her consistency? If you notice, she butchers a lot of characters in the series out of bias, and doesn't make them consistent. I honestly prefer Cherith's writing more because of this. While her descriptions aren't as detailed, Cherith's characters are done a lot better with more growth, while Kate butchers them based on her own opinions. An example of this would be Bramblestar refusing to heal Sunrise. We know Kate doesn't like Bramblestar, and in her writing about Bramblestar he was often written as "cold" in the book, especially when it came to that scene. She also ruined Dovewing's character and made her do things that felt... inconsistent to me, like manipulating Tigerheart. And don't even get me started on (TBC: ALITM SPOILERS) Silverstream and Feathertail feeling jealous. I'm not a fan of her writing tbh.

Cherith Baldry has always done a better job writing good/heartwarming emotionally moving Character interactions, and has crafted some absolutely top-notch Heartfelt scenes that I'll forever cherish. and she gives good focus on friendships, and family interactions/relationships. Kate Cary’s strong suit is writing Suspenseful, action filled battle scenes, and Bone-chilling, thrilling moments (excluding TBC, cause those fighting scenes have been flat as hell). I’ve always found myself gravitating towards Cherith Baldry's writing and books, there just so much more emotive and wholesome, and they just give me a very comforting vibe, like a toasty hot fireplace beneath the hearth on Christmas eve, just warms me up inside and I always thoroughly enjoy them.
Edit: Kate Cary's inconsistency and butchering of characters is probably partly contributed to her still being sour that Victoria Holmes Killed her character Yellowfang off so early back in 2004, yet Cherith's have Endured for a millennia (Brambleclaw & Squirrelflight) of course, that's just an innocent little, pernicious head canon of mine ''snickers''.

I don’t like that she tends to write characters based on her own views on them, since it butchers characters to a maximum (looking at you Bramblestar)
But I do agree with Cloudstorm, her battle scenes are really good, but overall her writing isn’t my favourite and I enjoy Cherith more

And this is exactly why I prefer Cherith Baldry's writing more.

I think they both have their own strong suits as you said, but I definitely prefer Cherith's writing over Kate's. Because whereas Kate is good with setting the tones and moods of suspense and fighting scenes, it will just feel jarring when the characters are butchered into high heaven, and pull a reader out of that immersion. After going through some of the books a few months ago, I also noticed just how inconsistent Kate writes characters in comparison to Cherith, who keeps them in character and writes them with more emotional impact. While Vicky, even if she's no longer on the team and I don't take her word for canon, her writing was easily the worst of the three.
There are just quite a few things I can't really forgive Kate for, I think my biggest gripe was with how she ruined Dovewing's character and dragged TigerDove back into the main focus of the plot with ThS, it was irritating. And Clear Sky is another character, he went from being well written in the first few books to falling off in the later half, and being absolutely unlikable in MV. Bramblestar is yet another victim, while BrambleSquirrel got dragged through the mud and ruined for "drama", I don't know what goes through Kate's head...but is she even aware of how awful she's writing some of these characters?
Like the reason Vicky's writing was so bad was because she was so out of touch with the characters, and she caused some pretty notable character inconsistencies that shook the fandom. I think Kate is slowly falling into that area too, it's just it's more of a slow burner, but it's becoming more and more notable, especially after AlitM.

Are they allowed to work on the books together? That might solve the problem.

I feel like they need to have proper notes of the characters and previous books. That way, it'll be easier to write. I also think that any inconsistencies need to be revised in later prints. I know some will make it through the cracks.

It's kinda difficult to attribute which inconcistencies are really on Kate given that she doesn't come up with the story - that's the story group of Warriors. So, I can't give a proper judgement on that issue.
But overall, I do enjoy her writing and especially her fight scenes.

While I prefer Cherith's writing, Kate definitely makes hers more dramatic and suspenseful.
