So, TNP is definitely my least favorite arc. However, I think a lot of it’s problems could’ve been solved had Tawnypelt been given Brambleclaw’s arc.
See, in TPB, Brambleclaw (then Bramblepaw) already has his arc about rejecting Tigerstar. Having him repeat it again over the span of six books just feels tedious and inconsequential.
But Tawnypelt‘s current situation at the beginning of TNP leaves her far more vulnerable to Tigerstar’s manipulation than Brambleclaw. She’s alone in a clan that she doesn’t really know that well, and her only tie to it is not only dead, but also everyone is actively trying to forget about him.
Tawnypelt left ThunderClan for her father, and now that he’s dead she can’t just stroll back into ThunderClan like nothing happened. But she also doesn’t know how to connect with anyone in ShadowClan, since they all see her as nothing but Tigerstar’s daughter (which is the exact reason she left ThunderClan in the first place).
Because of this, I think an arc centered around Tawnypelt rejecting her father would be far more investing than a repeat of Brambleclaw’s arc in TPB.
What do you think?

I think that makes enough sense. Brambleclaw's arc being repeated is definitely stupid, if he were to be given an arc, it should be about him growing past his father's legacy and proving who he is as a warrior instead of questioning himself and feeding into Tigerstar's bs. But yeah, as far as the whole Tigerstar manipulation thing, it probably would've fit much better with Tawnypelt than Brambleclaw.

Agreed! Tawnypelt would have been a superior option for the tnp tigerclaw plotline- plus, a tawny pov would provide an insight to shadowclan, when we already had multiple thunderclan povs in tnp.
I also think the battle between hawkfrost and tawnypelt would be more interesting because tawny could relate more to hawk and moth than bramble could, since she has the experience of joining a group you weren't born into, unlike bramblestar.

I do think that would be more interesting if it was a subplot with Tawnypelt. Having Brambeclaw suddenly dismiss everything his father did and reboot that character arc always felt like the laziest plot option.

i voted maybe because i dont see her having bramble's exact conflict...it makes sense for tawnypelt to reject tigerstar's dark forest training in TNP because she willingly joined her father and saw the horrors up close. she would be the type to reject it and move on from it.

I voted yeah kinda. I think that Brambleclaw's arc was interesting but seeing Tawnypelt's arc would be interesting too, but put in as a subplot.

I don't think I would have liked her sole POV, which is saying a lot because Brambleclaw/star is one of my most hated characters.
I would have much preferred reading from Hawkfrost's. His would make much more sense because he was only told of the stories. I would also have liked to have seen him not actually turn evil.
Tawnypelt is honestly annoying to read about. People give Squirrelpaw and Crowpaw a hard time for their behavior, but Tawnypelt acts very similar to them with her tongue at times and attitude. I caught myself rolling my eyes more at her comments and actions instead of Crowpaw's.
