From what I remember from the earlier Warriors fandom (so around 2008-2012-ish), people mainly disliked Daisy because she was a nursery queen. There was also the fact that she was accidentally rude to Brightheart and kinda-sorta flirted with Cloudtail, but it was mostly her choosing not to be a 'proper' warrior that made her so disliked.
I'm glad that the fanbase has mostly moved past hating characters who choose to raise kits full-time. Daisy is a lovely character, and her not fighting or hunting shouldn't mean that she's automatically 'useless'. She raised generations of kits and provides guidance to new mothers; that's a huge contribution.

i like daisy, but i disliked her novella. i like her a tiny bit less because of the rude things she said in her novella to smoky. besides that, she's fine.

I like Daisy. I definitely don’t love her, but quite frankly I don’t think we were ever given the opportunity to really know her very well. I think she’s a good character and I definitely recognize the value in the role she plays, but I don’t think I can feel anymore than neutral/like when we don’t really know that much about her.

Daisy’s Kin let’s us know her well It does give us a chance to know her better, but after reading it I still didn’t feel like I knew her that well tbh. I feel like it lets us know who she is now in the series, but I’d like to know more about her from the beginning. I’d like to know her as more than the annoying queen who had a crush on Cloudtail and joined the clans to keep her kits safe that became a respected member of her Clan. I don’t find her annoying or anything anymore, but I’d like to know more about her motivations and thought processes from the time we met her. Daisy’s Kin gives us a chance to know her now that she’s old, but I wish we’d had more opportunity to get to know her as she aged, like we did with other background/supporting characters.

She's fine. The initial drama with Cloudtail/Brightheart was annoying, but queens helping care for the clan's kits is always a positive thing. The fandom hate for her, and Ferncloud while we're at it, was unwarranted.
Only thing is, I wish she would have taken a proper clan name. Something like Daisypetal sounds nice. To be fair it's not an issue specific to her, just in general, names are such a huge part of clan culture that I always find it strange when former loners/kittypets keep their old name. Like, there's a reason Firestar isn't still named Rusty xD

I think Daisy and Millie had the same underlying issue on why they were so disliked, overbearing mothers. A large portion of the warriors fandom was and still is children, and to be honest, I feel like being in that inbetween phase of teenager-child where adults treat you both like and adult and kid really influenced the dislike for both those characters. More than likely I feel that a lot of kids related "overbearing mother" = "not having enough freedom" = "Millie and Daisy". I could be super wrong though lol.

I love her. She is there for any kit if they need her and that's really special. Making it such a welcoming place for any younger cat, while still making sure they don't get into trouble. Honestly Daisy is just such an amazing cat and I can't give her enough credit for what she's done for Thunderclan. Thunderclan would never be the same without her.

I'm neutral/like on her. I appreciate her being a mother to the young Clan cats, but that's honestly about it.

I like Daisy a whole lot now due to her loving nature, taking care of so many kits for ThunderClan and helping/guiding other queens through motherhood with her knowledge. But back when reading her introduction for the first time and how she was in a short love triangle in regards to Cloudtail and Brightheart (adore that couple) teen me simply hated her just for that even though it was forced drama to make the latter half of TNP more interesting.

I like Daisy a lot. For me, it's her kindness and unconditional love that makes her an awesome character and helping to raise young ThunderClan kits to be great adult cats.
