As the series progresses and makes it clear that it takes place in America-Europe, I think it'd be interesting to introduce armored prey to the series. Armadillos, skunks (not exactly prey actually, but you get the idea), and porcupines would be cool to see as animals that would be big and tough enough that they can hold their own without teeth and claws being their primary tool.

I agree. I'd love to see a larger variety of animals in the series. I wonder which Clan would be the best at catching armored prey?

I would think Shadowclan in theory, since it requires a certain cleverness to avoid the armored parts or to trap them. A direct approach doesn't work when it gets your face spiked by quills or your claws just glance off of armor plate, so one has to be indirect.

In that case WindClan might be better too with their speed, even if they are generally weaker.

That actually sounds really challenging for the Clans and would definitely be cool to see happening in the series.
Edit: Although they might just give up on hunting such armored prey if the effort proves to be too much.

Hedgehogs would work too. They're not big, but the quills would still pose an interesting obstacle to seeing them as prey.

I'd be pretty interested in seeing what new hunting techniques they'd have to develop and new healing techniques to help heal wounds from armored prey, especially from hedgehogs.
