Hmm... So I'm a bit torn. I like the marbled background because I feel like it adds decoration. But, part of me also likes the less busy, solid color.. I'm just worried about it not being.... good enough decorated enough(?) since I haven't found any pictures I could use for the second one to kind of break up the purple... 🤔
And that was definitely the idea, Feather! Runningstar (thinking of changing her name, it doesn't really flow...), the deputy, and medicine cat are all deceased and there are only six cats of HazelClan left. I was thinking of making them young warriors and apprentices, since I think they'd have the best resilience and immune systems? So there will absolutely be conflict with leadership and their faith in StarClan, whether they should even remain a clan, etc. ^^

Hmm... is there a season that the story would start in? I'm trying to think of something.
"- There's discord between the remaining clan cats and or the rogue group - which causes a divide and maybe the splitting off into two different groups?"
That's a good idea you got.
What if the tensions get high enough that a huge battle (Spoilers for DOTC #3: The First Battle) like TFB's kinda battle were to happen? In the aftermath the 2 groups would have to learn to live together and HazelClan would gain some new cats and become a true Clan again?

We're starting in late leaf-fall. There's about a week (in character) before leaf-bare sets in. c: Because you gotta love the struggle of a dying clan fighting for survival in a relatively new place with prey shortage... xD
That's pretty similar to the idea I had! I was going to suggest some discord between both groups, just spats and tensions that can grow into bigger problems. If we decide to take the rp in this direction, I'm thinking two different territories, the lavender fields (and a small portion of the forest to fight over) and the forest territory. ^^ Adding on the struggles with finding their connection to StarClan and I feel like there's going to be a lot of potential for drama and conflict ~
itd be p interesting to have it split into two small clans (maybe even some of the original clan cats end up on different sides) if it goes in that direction ngl

This is exactly what I was thinking! The group currently has lost so much, so even while they bicker, I don't think they're at a place to think of separating but somewhere down the line, if some of those bonds break and the original six split up in some way... it could lead to a lot of fun issues and situations!

I finally finished the territory! Sorry that this took me so long everyone! The last big thing to come up with ( i think ) is some traditions that HazelClan used to have? c:
---
Other herbs and bushes have encroached on the once orderly rows, providing not only shelter for prey but for the felines as well. Large boulders are strewn throughout the field, some sitting all alone - probably placed there by a two-leg seasons ago - and others huddled in a much more natural outcropping. The largest of these rock formations, and the most protected by far, is where the tattered remains of HazelClan make their camp.
To the west, is a large and lush deciduous forest, that the clan considers loosely as part of their territory - seeing as there is no actual boundaries at this time. There are a group of rogues that make their home in these woods, however, unknown to HazelClan. Wide streams that lead into a large lake to the south-west, flow within, providing both fresh water and places to fish. An abandoned two-leg cabin is where the rogues currently make their camp, hidden deeply in the trees and almost overrun in ivy and brush. The undergrowth is very thick in the forest, so it can be difficult to navigate, even for the rogues who've been living here for a few moons now.
-- quick note ; the clan is still settling in and the rogues haven't been here too long, so the territory is still being discovered! if you have an idea for a new landmark in either area, speak up and we'll discuss as a group, before possibly adding it! we're building this together! c:
❀ Lavender Field Landmarks High-Rocks ; Specific boulders at the north-eastern edge of the territory that are stacked high and set upon a hill, altogether elevated. A good look-out spot near their hesitantly-placed eastern border and climbing to the top can allow some privacy for conversations. The clan is currently using it as a place to get some space, to be alone and grieve. The rocks get an excellent amount of sunlight and have the potential for a future sunning spot.
Herb Pond ; Just to the south of the High Rocks, is a small pond that sits alone, abundant with reeds and water-based herbs. The waters are murky and there is evidence that ducks nest here in new-leaf, so there's hope for more prey opportunities. Though the water doesn't taste the best, the cats are using this and the small creek that runs by the abandoned two-leg nest for drinking water. If brave, a feline could attempt to catch a fish here.
The Old Two-leg Nest ; Further north, at the edge of the lavender field is where the dilapidated old two-leg cabin sits. The wood is rotting in most places and the roof has caved and fallen in, leaving the inside exposed to the elements. Great source of both catmint and cobwebs. Mice are easily caught here but rats are a very real danger. Outside a small creek can be found that yields much clearer water than the Herb Pond.
The Rabbit Tunnels ; One of the first discoveries in what HazelClan hopes will be their new home, are the holes that appear all over the field. With observation, they were discovered to be a network of rabbit tunnels and burrows, that run underneath the ground. The felines have begun to try and set traps beside these holes, in order to more easily catch rabbits, and there is some talk about trying to dig into a few tunnels to make more shelter or secret passages.
Bramble Wall ; A thick, intimidating wall of brambles that runs the perimeter of the forest to the west. Though they had originally used this as a pseudo-border in the past, the remaining clan cats have decided to edge farther into the forest - especially with leaf-bare coming. So now it's a barrier they've worked holes into for easier access to the forest.
Red Orchard ; To the north-west of the lavender field, after a few fox-lengths of grassy clearing, is a small copse of apple trees that have grown tall, clearly left untended for many years. The clan-cats haven't really explored this area yet, only glimpsing the orchard from time to time but the brilliant red color of the leaves in leaf-bare earned the copse it's name. There's potential food there but the reek of the Thunder-Path that lies around it makes the felines wary.
❀ Forest Landmarks Abandoned Burrow ; In the western side of the forest, amongst the undergrowth, is a hidden entrance to an abandoned badger den - from what the rogues can tell. They're a bit wary of the lingering scents of the fierce black and white creatures but prey sometimes hides down there. Since it's mostly blocked in, with only one exit and entrance, this can make hunting easier. If a feline is seeking privacy, this is a good place to get away from it all.
The Lightning Oak ; Up into the north of the forest, the rogues have found a tree that has been split and burned by lightning in two places - almost as though the lightning struck the oak twice - hence it's nickname. Birds are easily caught here, along with smaller rodents. Younger or smaller cats are told to be aware of owls and not to wander in the area alone.
Winding Path ; An old hiking trail, that's well worn and runs through the northeastern side of the forest, close to the lavender fields. The rogues have found herbs along the path and rabbits are seen most often here. Deer and elk are more common in this area as well and the rogues are cautious of their hooves and antlers.
The Log Bridge ; There are many streams that run throughout the forest, some leading to Gray Lake and others to the Thunder-River to the south. The biggest of these streams, has a distinct log-bridge made from the trunk of a fallen maple. The tree trunk is wide enough that two cats can walk together side by side but the bark is slick with moss. The rogues have found it challenging to cross, especially after rain, but it's the quickest path to the Lightning Oak. The stream it crosses over is a good supply of fish and even frogs.
The Thorn Circle ; Aptly named, for it's a small, circular hollow that is enclosed by thistle, rose, and hemlock bushes. The center is a great place for small rodents to hide and quite a few herbs can be found here. The Thorn Circle is located in the east, about seven bear-lengths from the southern edge of the Bramble Wall.
Gray Lake ; In the southwest of the forest, some of the streams empty into a small, natural lake. The water is normally gray-hued, hence the nickname the rogues have given it. The water gets deep relatively quickly so only good swimmers are recommended to fish here. The shore has lots of long, flat rocks that make great places for felines to sun-bathe. Snakes are more common in the reeds and among the rocks here.
❀ Lavender Field Camp -- The HazelClan refugees are settled into the largest of the natural rocky outcroppings and also the most protected. Near the heart of the lavender fields, sharp, jagged rock peaks rise out of the sea of purple flowers and thick green brush. The circular hollow created by the tallest rocks provides shelter from the elements and some protection from predators. The walls of the hollow, between rock, are made from thick bushes and thickets that grow high. The group is still settling in and sleep mostly piled together for warmth, safety, and comfort. At this time there has been no talk of dens.
❀ Rogue Camp [forest] -- In the abandoned forest two-leg cabin that reminds them of home, the former kitty-pets have made their camp. There are holes in the walls to allow cats in and out, and a lot of the two doors have rotted and fallen over. This lets in a draft that the rogues aren't too adjusted to. There are still some closed rooms, but the doors and hinges are getting weaker every day, so there's a chance that they'll be exposed soon, giving the felines more space and possible shelter from the elements.
❀ Neutral Landmarks (landmarks that exist just outside the main territory but are still important) The Thunder-River ; To the south of both territories is a wide river. The current is fast moving and the water is deep, which is already off-putting. Swimming against the current isn't an easy task and unless a skilled swimmer, felines are likely to drown. There are aquatic two-leg monsters that zip by from time to time. The Thunder-River is something the felines usually avoid altogether if they can help it.
The Thunder-Path ; On the other end of the spectrum, to the north of both territories, is a long thunder-path. Monsters pass by more often than not, which can make for tricky passing. Rats and bad smelling water are common here, but so is a large supply of dandelion and yarrow.
( future ) Moon Grove ; Our future spot to communicate with our ancestors. A small grove of trees that smell like fresh dew at all times and reflect moonlight brilliantly, until their leaves appear white and their trunks silver-hued. Water drips between their roots, and the drops look like stars when light reflects off of them.
apprentice competitions - when theres many apprentices at once, mentors will have competitions as opportunities to have their apprentices use their training (and to show off their teaching to other mentors). competitions can include mock-battle, hunting, climbing, tracking, and races.
communion with ancestors - all cats, when first apprenticed, are expected to share tongues with starclan. this is a hold-over from when there were concerns over finding an apprentice medicine cat. by having each apprentice meet with starclan, they could see who had the best aptitude. nowadays, it is a way to not only test their aptitude to spirituality, but to receive early advice and encouragement from their ancestors and strengthen their belief in the code.
queens claim - when kits are born, queens are expected to either state who the father is or claim a "queens silence". should silence be claimed, no cat is permitted to pester the queen about the father or spread rumors/gossip. punishments for violations of a queens right to silence usually involve being put on apprentice duties.
test of resolve - on the rare occasion that an outsider is allowed to join the clan, they will be put through tests to make sure they are dedicated. this includes being put on a patrol with a clanmate who will suggest breaking the code in some way (passed by the outsider refusing to do so), having them patrol the border alone under the secret watch of a warrior to make sure they complete their duties properly, and a communion with starclan.

Sorry about the poof, I was out to dinner! Oh jeez, Thistle, you're a god-send! I was seriously blanking on traditions but I love all of the ones you came up with!
The communion with the ancestors one is so fascinating to me, and I think really valid because their second to last leader was trained as a medicine cat, so he could have been the one to introduce the tradition? Especially now that the six are probably feeling pretty abandoned by their ancestors, it'd make it so interesting to see whether they continue that tradition or not! c:

I have everything ready... I think. I've double checked but somehow I'm still doubting myself. xD It's technically all ready to post, joining page included, but because I couldn't decide, I wanted to see which background to go with! c:
