Yep, Blu is back on her regularly scheduled bs, lol. Not sure what anyone expected honestly. -sigh- So... back to wherever I was going with this! I had an idea for... a clan? I've always fallen in love with the idea of building a clan from the ground up - as I know many of us have. My idea was of a fallen clan called HazelClan (name wip and will not remain the same once rebuilt) that went through a horrible plague. I mean awful and it wasn't just killing them, but the prey around them as well. Medicine cats couldn't seem to find an answer and were getting sick/passing away faster than they could be trained.
It seemed to be a hopeless situation so the clan decided to leave their former territory (currently thinking marshes). However, the sickness was still rampant within the clan and the clan was dying fast. It's been a year and their numbers have dwindled down to a handful - maybe five or six left alive altogether. But they've finally found a safe place - a lavender field with a forest (maybe?) - and the remaining cats have built up some kind of immunity. There will be a lot of grief and other hard emotions that they have to deal with but also hope and determination to keep themselves and all that remains alive.
The main focus, I feel, would be on a group of rogues who were former kitty-pets, that live nearby and their interactions with the small group of clan cats. Whether they decide to help the clan cats settle and adopt their ways... or maybe we could decide to go a different route? -shrug-
Other Ideas: - It could be fun to make it challenging for them to find a way to connect with StarClan? They probably feel like their ancestors have abandoned them already, so I imagine it would be difficult for them to reach out and find that faith again. - Maybe the only cats left are really young (maybe all apprentices even) and they're feeling especially lost without the guidance of their elders? They remember their way of life and they're struggling to hold on to it, traditions and all. - There's discord between the remaining clan cats and or the rogue group - which causes a divide and maybe the splitting off into two different groups?

Thank you all so much for the support! <3 The whole idea actually started from one of my inane ramblings that I just started writing -
There was sorrow in the air, heavy and thick. As though no matter how much you clawed at it, the despair wouldn't dissipate. This was a clan destroyed by an enemy they could not defeat, no matter how valiantly they fought. How does one fight what they cannot see? What they cannot feel with their claws and fangs?
The sickness had devastated the clan, this horrible plague wiping out feline after feline, indiscriminate of age, gender, or spirit. There were so few of you left, a pitiful drop of rain from the storm that HazelClan had once been. And you, their leader - who clung to life by a spider's thread - pushed them forward. As cats dropped like flies, you barely gave time for burials, afraid that the exposure would cause the disease to spread wider. Your medicine cat had died two sunrises ago, their apprentice lost near the beginning of this hellish time.
The marshes that had been home no longer sustained you, the air tainted with the putrid stink of sickness and death.
Since you had forced your clan from its home, convinced by Galeberry that StarClan had cursed the land, your rag-tag group had traveled through two-leg places, fields, and dead forests. It had been almost four seasons and HazelClan's numbers dwindled daily. There had been no word from your ancestors and you were beginning to think you'd been abandoned by Silverpelt entirely. Their silence was deafening. [ just a snippet ] - and kind of built from there. I am so eager to work on this idea, I've been fiddling with coding all morning. xD If any of you have a better idea for the former clan name - I am not attached to HazelClan - please let me know. Or if you have ideas for other smaller plot points? I'm thinking that I'll stick with the lavender fields for the territory ( at least for the first group - i'm leaning towards this ending in a split of two different clans, one more in the forests ).
Also, here's what I have of the coding so far, is it alright on the eyes? I might change it up yet, I'm not sure... 🤔WELCOME INDEX i. welcome, index ii. about, rules, history iii. territory, prey & predators, climate iv. traditions, news, plots v. allegiances, rogue group vi. relationships, members, credit
ABOUT HazelClan cats are former marshland cats. They lived in wetlands with lots of high-grasses and mud. Due to this, most felines have some sort of pattern on their coat, that formerly helped them blend in with the bushes and grass. Pure white coats are rare, the brightness of their fur gave them away easily in the marsh and prey and predators could easily see them coming. Many amongst the clan have a genetic mutation of webbed skin between their toes, which allowed them to swim much more efficiently in the murky water. Their bodies are trained to be lean, mostly, as agility was their most treasured ability. Now that the clan has settled in a new area, there are some adaptations to be made.
- - - The rogue group that resides on the edges of the forest are all former kitty-pets. Their neighborhood was taken over by some incredibly cruel alley-cats, which made even a trip out to their gardens dangerous. So the felines banded together and left home, traveling at least a moon across forested hills until they reached the giant forest they now reside in. The trees and undergrowth grow plentiful and thick and the rogues have been forced to adapt to moving through all the foliage quietly in order to feed themselves. Their cats of all different breeds and builds, their coat colors and patterns are diverse. There really isn't a rhyme or reason to them at all. A few of them do have collars around their necks but these are also the felines who never had bells or tags.

The background seems to not be big enough? But other than that, I would personally say the main font could be something more clear? It seems very small, but some fonts are typically that way.

Font size is much better! The background is still being a little odd, but it could be the coding instead? I don't want to peek, so I can only assume. I haven't worked with picture backgrounds in forever.

some ideas for landmarks
- High-Rocks: some boulders at the edge of the territory that are stacked very high. a good look-out spot in battles, and climbing to the top will give you some privacy for conversations, or just if you want to be alone. they also get good sun.
- Moongrove/Stargrove/Whatevergrove: spot to communicate with ancestors. small grove of trees that smell like fresh dew and reflect moonlight. water drips between their roots, and the drops look like stars when light reflects off of them.
- Abandoned Burrow: a massive, abandoned badger burrow. prey sometimes hides here, and cats can meet here in secret. popular for mates trying to get some privacy.
- Thunder-river: if you want a water landmark- a wide river that has lots of motorboats traveling along it.
- Herb Pond: a small secluded pond where a lot of herbs grow

Thistle, I love the idea for the spot where they meet StarClan, it's so unique! I think it could be fun to have the group really struggle to find this place, I was wondering how people would feel if the Moon/Star/Whatever we decide to call it Grove was a day or two away? That way the cats have to make a small journey to find it and later when the clan(s) are established they'll have to prepare and take traveling herbs before hand?
Also, having a Thunder-River instead of a Thunder-Path is such a fascinating idea! c:
Awesome, Feather, any help is appreciated! <3

HISTORY It began with a single mouse. To think such a small creature could bring on such devastation. The late elders often told stories of the odd smell that wafted from the rodent - but they were merely tales. If there had been any indication that the prey was unsuitable to eat, surly Owlfoot wouldn't have shared it with his sister that night.
The next day, both warriors were out of commission. Stomach aches and violent fever. Iciclepaw - the medicine cat apprentice at the time - fell next. And he wouldn't be the last. The symptoms changed rapidly over the moons as felines took ill and died. There was no explanation and no herb combination that Galeberry could find that worked as a cure. HazelClan was facing a faceless, scentless enemy that they couldn't fight off with claws and fangs. And they were losing the battle.
After losing her third rushed apprentice, Galeberry began to lose faith in StarClan altogether. She had traveled to the Whispering Willows at least twice every moon, searching for answers from their ancestors but there was always silence. On her last trip, Galeberry finally was able to get in contact with the first leader of HazelClan and he told them to run. Run far away and leave the poisoned marshes. Terrified and bitter, the medicine cat returned to her clan and told them what she'd heard. The sickness was so horrible, so devastating that few cats put up much of a fight.
The journey began at the end of leaf-fall when there was frost and light snow covering the marsh. Dead, rotting animals lay in their wake, so few creatures had been spared. Even as they traveled, the sickness lingered within the group, infecting one cat after another. Slower, now that the prey wasn't touched with plague, but their numbers continued to dwindle. Cities, small towns, long-dead forests, rolling hills, and wide-open fields with large spotted beasts the likes of which the clan had never seen... the dying clan faced it all. And still, HazelClan headed North, away from their home.
Runningstar lost her last life in the middle of new-leaf, and Galeberry followed on the second day of green-leaf. There hadn't been a deputy since a moon after the clan left the marshes. To be frank, it could hardly be called a clan anymore, especially come that next leaf-fall. There were hardly six cats left but they'd finally found a place that held promise. Lavender fields, wide and sprawling with rocks for shelter and fresh streams for water. The remaining cats seemed to be immune to the sickness, a blessing that was far too little, too late.
That brings us up to current times. The future of HazelClan is uncertain and there isn't a lot of faith that StarClan favors them any longer. However, without hope they will not survive.

TERRITORY What remains of HazelClan has settled into a wide, overgrown lavender field. There is an abandoned two-leg cabin on the edge of the field, upon a shallow hill. Other herbs and bushes have encroached on the once orderly rows, providing not only shelter for prey but for the felines as well. Large boulders are strewn throughout the field, some sitting all alone - probably placed there by a two-leg seasons ago - and others huddled in a much more natural outcropping. The largest of these rock formations, and the most protected by far, is where the tattered remains of HazelClan make their camp.
To the west, is a large and lush deciduous forest, that the clan considers loosely as part of their territory - seeing as there is no actual boundaries at this time. There are a group of rogues that make their home in these woods, however, unknown to HazelClan. Wide streams that lead into a large lake to the southwest, flow within, providing both fresh water and places to fish. A cleverly hidden cave is where the rogues currently make their camp, right beside a thicket of thistle - adding another layer of defense. The undergrowth is very thick in the forest, so it can be difficult to navigate, even for the rogues who've been living here for a few moons now.
-- quick note ; the clan is still settling in and the rogues haven't been here too long, so the territory is still being discovered! if you have an idea for a new landmark in either area, speak up and we'll discuss as a group, before possibly adding it! we're building this together! c:
❀ Lavender Field Landmarks - High-Rocks ; Specific boulders at the north-eastern edge of the territory that are stacked high and set upon a hill, altogether elevated. A good look-out spot near their hesitantly-placed eastern border and climbing to the top can allow some privacy for conversations. The clan is currently using it as a place to get some space, to be alone and grieve. The rocks get an excellent amount of sunlight and have the potential for a future sunning spot.
- Herb Pond ; Just to the south of the High Rocks, is a small pond that sits alone, abundant with reeds and water-based herbs. The waters are murky and there is evidence that ducks nest here in new-leaf, so there's hope for more prey opportunities. Though the water doesn't taste the best, the cats are using this and the small creek that runs by the abandoned two-leg nest for drinking water. If brave, a feline could attempt to catch a fish here.
- The Old Two-leg Nest ; Further north, at the edge of the lavender field is where the dilapidated old two-leg cabin sits. The wood is rotting in most places and the roof has caved and fallen in, leaving the inside exposed to the elements. Great source of both catmint and cobwebs. Mice are easily caught here but rats are a very real danger. Outside a small creek can be found that yields much clearer water than the Herb Pond.
- The Rabbit Tunnels ; One of the first discoveries in what HazelClan hopes will be their new home, are the holes that appear all over the field. With observation, they were discovered to be a network of rabbit tunnels and burrows, that run underneath the ground. The felines have begun to try and set traps beside these holes, in order to more easily catch rabbits, and there is some talk about trying to dig into a few tunnels to make more shelter or secret passages.
- Bramble Wall ; A thick, intimidating wall of brambles that runs the perimeter of the forest to the west. Though they had originally used this as a pseudo-border in the past, the remaining clan cats have decided to edge farther into the forest - especially with leaf-bare coming. So now it's a barrier they've worked holes into for easier access to the forest.
- Red Orchard ; To the north-west of the lavender field, after a few fox-lengths of grassy clearing, is a small copse of apple trees that have grown tall, clearly left untended for many years. The clan-cats haven't really explored this area yet, only glimpsing the orchard from time to time but the brilliant red color of the leaves in leaf-bare earned the copse it's name. There's potential food there but the reek of the Thunder-Path that lies around it makes the felines wary.

Thank you, Silver! And to finally answer Feather, here's what I have of the territory so far ~

I know that I'm going to put the abandoned burrow in the forest territory and I'm thinking of putting in the Thunder-River to the south of both territories? It's a fast moving river and deep, which is dangerous already, but add in the aquatic two-leg monsters and it's something the felines usually avoid altogether... I think was my plan with that maybe... unless that's weird lol. I was going to try and put in a Thunder-Path as well, but this one more towards the North. Any ideas ( for camps as well) are definitely welcome ~ )

the river to the south and the road to the north sounds good!
for the rogue camp, maybe an abandoned twoleg nest? i feel like its a p unique idea and rogues might be more comfortable hanging around one (and other cats would avoid it, making it a good place to hide). since its old itd have holes in the walls to allow cats in and out, and a lot of the doors have rotted and fallen over. there are still some closed rooms, but the doors and hinges are getting weaker every day, so there could be a chance for new discoveries to be made. plus you get a lot of abandoned houses in the woods, speaking from experience lol.

I really like that idea for the rogue camp, seeing as they were former kitty-pets and would likely feel most comfortable with a man-made shelter above their heads at first. Maybe it's not exactly the ideal home, leaky roof, decaying floor - something that makes them later search out a different forest camp... or they can decide to try and fix up/reinforce the camp they have, depending on how the story seems to be going. ^^ Thank you so much, Thistle! c:
I had a quick question, as I was looking over things last night.... Do you prefer the current layout:

Should we have a small leadership crisis happen since the group is small?
