Suppose Ivypool loses her rematch with Antpelt and dies in the Dark Forest, thus condemning her to be a Dark Forest cat. What would she do next? How does the story change?

If Ivypool was killed in the DF she'd be gone forever. Unless she manages to wake up, then dies immediately from her injuries.

Ivypool would be gone forever. ThunderClan would grieve, but the clans would be just fine because the three handled things without her and she didn't report that much to begin with. The only difference she made was convince the trainees to fight for the clans and that's it.

Well that's pretty discourteous to go around saying so without spoilers. As far as the topic of discussion goes, definitely makes things a lot more dull then. Suppose the circumstances are changed to an Antpelt esque death then so she gets shoved in there for whatever reason.

Icewing said that when her son was killed in the DF, he was gone forever. That she will never see him again.

Icewing said that when her son was killed in the DF, he was gone forever. That she will never see him again. If that's really the only line of evidence then it's not very convincing. Icewing's dialogue says nothing implying he vanished at all, just that if you die in the Dark Forest, you die in real life too. “I just want to make sure you understand what the risks are. Brokenstar left my son in the Dark Forest to rot. If you die in the Dark Forest, you die in real life. Your loved ones will never see you again. Do you comprehend that?" Yes, your loved ones will never see you again, but this comes off more like just stating it clearly what consequences are incurred by dying rather than anything else.

It was stated somewhere else as well, but I don't want to get into the context for obvious spoiler reasons.

Dovewing would absolutely destroy Lionblaze and Jayfeather because they convinced Ivypool to spy for them. I mean she wouldn't destroy them because Lionblaze is there but she would want to.

Ivypool might try to be a Dark Forest ghost to connect with her sister. Dovewing would be devastated at the loss of her littermate. The Three could still win the battle, however, and Ivypool may find her way to StarClan, or a StarClan cat would fetch her.

I think Ivypool would either get corrupted by the Dark Forest atmosphere of bloodlust or try to get out and redeem herself. Perhaps she could be granted to become a StarClan cat after the Great Battle in The Last Hope.
